Universal Lifter
General
This universal lifter is intended for using as vehicle rescue lifter, as winching or compression tool. You can
use the lifter as a car lifter, but also for tension and compression operations by using chains with applicable
clevis in the range of the allowed loads.
Please read this manual before using the lift and pay attention to the safety instructions. Disregar-
ding of these instructions may cause to great damages of property, to damage caused health till fatal
injury.
Safety instructions
- Wear applicable clothes, particulary close-fitting clothes, rugged, nonskid shoes and working gloves.
- Keep all noninvolved persons away from the working area. Let only instructed, adult persons work with
this lift. Keep animals away from the working area.
- Before using check the lift and all his parts of damages, dirt, rust and lubricating of all greasing points. Do
not use the lift, if you find damaged or lost parts.
- Always place the lift on a consolidated place and fix the load, e.g. assure against rolling away, falling or
shifting. The lift does not feeding, supporting or stabilizing the load, an unconfidentinal stand may be to
tilt the load and the lift.
Use only applicable cotters on the wheel(s), that remain on the ground, to avoid rolling away or shifting
of the vehicle.
- Always pay attention to a safety stand. Slipping away may cause to accidents and injury.
- Pay attention, that the load lies safe and stable on the lifting clamp, and it can no slipping away. On de-
mand use applicable load-securing devices.
- The lift is intended as rescue assistant, do not use the lift as a workshop lift or to repair vehicles. That
means, you don´t working on or under the raised vehicle, otherwise, it is assured complete against upset
or fall down. You can secure the vehicle e.g. with normative workshop trestles. After secure the vehicle,
remove the lift completely from the vehicle to be sure, that the vehicle stands securely.
- For tensioning/winching use only applicable metal-chains and load-securing devices (clevis), in no case
ropes, load/cargo straps or similar.
- Hold the steel handle tight by leaving the load downward or loosening the load to avoid beat back of the
steel handle.
- Always flip up the steel handle (against the steel bar), before you moving the reverse latch. Otherwise the
load can fall down apruptly!
- Do never grasp into the mechanics of the lift while working with the lift. Never grasp also into the steel bar
and do not hold on the lift.
Operation
Lifting
- Place the lift securely with the base on a firm ground with the steel bar upward and the lifting clamp ex-
actly under the lifting point of the vehicle.
Flip up the steel handle (against the steel bar), move the reverse latch down and lift the lifting clamp to
the desired position.
Now move the reverse latch upward, the lifting clamp is locked.
- Hold the lift exactly vertical and move the steel handle up and down. Therby the lifting clamp is moving
upward and lift the vehicle.
Winching/Clamping
- The winching of a load is alike the lifting. Here you must positioning the lift between load and a fixed point
(e.g. a tree or a wall hook)
- For the attaching of chains you must use applicable clevises with accordingly breaking load. This clevises
must be attached either on both clamps or on the steel bar instaed the base.
- By clamping are the load pressed by the lower (lifting) clamp into the direction of the upper clamp. The
upper clamp must be fixed with a chain.
- Please pay attention, that the upper clamp is only able to work under pressure with max. 340 kp/750
lbs.
