1. Introduction
1.1. Overview
Both PA2 and iW30 supports to DHCP mode and Static IP mode when connect it to network. This
document introduces how to change network mode between Static IP and DHCP for PA2 & iW30.
1.2. Applicable Model
Fanvil PA2 and iW30
1.3. Before You Start
Step1.
Prepare PoE switch, PA2/iW30, computer, speaker and button(only for PA2), network cable.
Step2.
Refer to the connection diagram, connect PA2/iW30 to the switch. For PA2, we need to connect
speaker and button to it.
Step3.
Connect the computer to the same switch as PA2/iW30 with Network cable.

2. How to change network mode for PA2
There are three ways to change network mode for PA2, via "volume up" button, via DSS key and
via web page management system. Please check the following steps for detail. The default network
mode for PA2 is Static IP mode with default IP address 192.168.1.128. If the network mode of PA2
is Static IP, you can change it to DHCP. If the network mode of PA2 is DHCP, you can change it to
Static IP with IP address 192.168.1.128.
2.1. Change network mode for PA2 via "volume up" button
Step1.
Refer to the above connection diagram, connect speaker to PA2 and connect PA2 to PoE switch.
Step2.
After PA2 finishes booting and gets into standby mode:
Long press its "volume up" button for 10 seconds, the beep sound will ring out and last for 5
seconds. Press the "Volume up" button three times continuously during the 5 seconds to change
the network mode. After it had network mode changed successfully, the device will broadcast its
IP address later.
2.2. Change network mode for PA2 via DSS key
Step1.
Refer to the above connection diagram, connect speaker and button to PA2, connect PA2 to PoE
switch. The button will work as DSS key.
Step2.
After PA2 finishes booting and gets into standby mode:
Long press its DSS key for 10 seconds, the beep sound will ring out and last for 5 seconds. Press the
DSS key three times continuously during the 5 seconds to change the network mode. After it had
network mode changed successfully, the device broadcast its IP address later.
2.3. Change network mode for PA2 via webpage
Step1.
Load the web page management system of PA2.
Step2.
Go to web page “Network”-> “Basic”, set the network mode as you need, and then click “Apply”
button to save your changes.

3. How to change network mode for iW30
There are two ways to check iW30’s IP address, via "volume up" button and via web page
management system. Please check the following steps for detail. The default network mode for
iW30 is Static IP mode with default IP address 192.168.1.128. If the network mode of iW30 is
Static IP, you can change it to DHCP. If the network mode of iW30 is DHCP, you can change it to
Static IP with IP address 192.168.1.128.
3.1. Change network mode for iW30 via "volume up" button
Step1.
Refer to the above connection diagram, connect iW30 to PoE switch.
Step2.
After iW30 starts up and gets into standby mode:
