Battery instructions and warnings
Battery use and li espan
The Fazley PBP-07 is delivered with a built-in lithium-battery. This battery provides the
necessary voltage to power the device without the need to plug it into a mains socket. After
unpacking the pedal power supply it's recommended to test it with an effects pedal by first

plugging it into a mains socket and then using only the built-in battery. It is then strongly
recommended to fully charge the battery to ensure maximum lifespan.
Please bear in mind that this type of battery is not designed to be (almost) completely
discharged. Should the performance of the PBP-07 decrease connect it to the mains so the
battery can charge.
If the device has a low battery percentage and is stored for an extended period of time then
there is a chance that the battery performance may decrease.
The built-in battery of the PBP-07 can not be replaced by the user.
WARNING
Risk of explosion if the battery is not properly replaced.
Only replace the battery with one that is identical in type and specifications.
Do not expose batteries to intense heat from sunlight open fire etc.
Do not leave batteries out in an environment with extreme temperatures as this may cause
explosions or fluid or gas leaks.
Do not burnbatteries placethem in a hot oven cut or crush them. This could cause the
batteries to explode.
Do not expose batteries to extremely low pressure (high altitude) as this may cause
explosions or fluid or gas leaks.
Recycling
If the maximum lifespan of the battery has been reached and it no longer functions
(properly) it should be removed from the device.
Batteries can not be thrown away together with regular rubbish. They contain hazardous
chemicals that can harm the environment. When batteries are recycled properly they
become a valuable source of sustainable material. Contact your local authority about how
to dispose of batteries in an eco-friendly way.

Operating the device
The Fazley PBP-07 is a practical pedal power supply designed to power (guitar)effects
pedals. One central power supply unit like this one means each individual guitar pedal is
not required to have a separate power supply or mains socket.
The PBP-07 has a built-in battery which means your pedal board can function without being
plugged into a mains socket. This is practical for short performances that require a fast
setting up and breaking down time for example or when other power supplies are causing
problems on the audio signal due to unbalanced unprotected audio signals. Switching to
battery-powered mode solves these kinds of ground-loop problems.
Charging the battery
This device has a 2-colour LED that shows the battery status:
– solid red: the battery is being used to supply power
– flashing red: battery percentage under 30% charge the battery a.s.a.p
– solid green: battery is fully charged
– flashing green: battery is being charged
The battery can handle 500 full load cycles before showing a noticeable decrease in
functionality. This is a rough estimate the actual time may differ due to deep discharge for
example.
Installation
This pedal power supply can easily be mounted on or underneath a pedal board. Suitable
ways to mount this device are using hook-and-loop fastener strips tie-wraps or brackets
that might have been included with your pedal board.
When mounting this device to a pedal board it is important to ensure that the status LED
indicators are visible at all times. It is also important that it can be turned off and unplugged
at any time in case of emergencies.
Connecting the outputs
Install the pedal power supply unit in such a way that the included cables can be plugged in
without having any sharp (180-degree) bends as this will likely cause the cables to break
over time. The cables can be bound together using cable binders as long as they aren't
pulled too tightly.
The connection cables can easily be plugged into their corresponding socket. There are 6
outputs in total each with its own LED indicator. Output 1 through 4 can handle a maximum

load of 100 mA. Output 5 and 6 may not exceed a maximum load of 500 mA.
Simultaneous use o all outputs at ull capacity
In theory if all outputs are being utilised at their full maximum capacity at the same time
the power supply may not be able to provide the amount of power as indicated per output.
In practice however it does not often happen that all the outputs of this type of power
supply are used simultaneously at full capacity and is therefore unlikely to cause a problem.
USB port
This device is equipped with a USB connection that may not exceed a maximum load
capacity of 2A. It is designed for small accessories such as an LED lamp.
It is not designed for heavy loads like charging a telephone or tablet which can have a
negative influence on the performance of the pedal outputs. This is most likely noticeable
when the device functions in battery-powered mode and is not plugged into the mains.
Voltage, polarity and power
Always make sure that any device you connect to this power supply requires the same
voltage and make note of the minimum amount of power it requires to function properly. If
an effects pedal requires a minimum of 500 mA it can not be connected to an output of 100
mA as this will cause the output to overload.
The outputs on the PBP-07 are all centre-negative which means that the central conductor
of the cable's output plug is negative and the part you can see the barrel is positive. This is
also indicated per output on the pedal power supply unit itself and a similar indication is
probably on the effects pedal as well.
The included adapter cable is a so-called 'polarity changer'. It can be used to change the
polarity to centre-positive should the pedal you wish to connect require it.
The polarity of a device is shown using the following diagrams:
Centre-positive Centre-negative
Inter erence
It is possible to connect many different effects pedals to this device which makes it difficult

to solve all possible interference issues with this user manual. Should you experience
unwanted interference the cause is usually a ground loop. To find out where the
interference is coming from it's recommended to alter the order of effects pedals in your
chain replace cables or remove certain pedals until you find the cause of the problem.
