Small and reliable
The FDS-TP printer is the cost e ective solution or printing all timing data.
The FDS-TP Printer is the ideal option for timekeeping, designed specifically to meet demanding
environments and to be the perfect companion to the FDS Timing TBox.
ith printing speeds of up to 90mm/sec. it exceeds many requirements during a timing session.
The High-Performance Li-Ion battery allows non-stop printing for up to 2 days.
Its micro size and light weight (134 g) makes it easy to store and transport.
Notice:
1.
For protection during shipping an insulating tape protects the Li-ion Battery.
2.
Prior to first use and charge please remove the insulating tape.
3.
To power on the printer: press the ON power button for 3 seconds.
4.
The correct paper loading method is mentioned later in the manual.
5.
ith a fully charged battery the autonomy is approximately 120 units of Thermal Paper
(58x30mm). Standby time is 2-3 days.
6.
Rechargeable batteries contain harmful metals, so should never be thrown away with daily
rubbish, they should be returned to manufacturer for disposal or recycled elsewhere.

1. Notes o sa ety
This section presents important information intended to ensure safety and effective use of the
printer. Please read carefully before first use.
•Be sure to use the specified battery and power source provided by our company. Connection
to an improper power source may cause fire, explosion or damage to the printer.
•Do not expose battery to excessive physical shock, vibration, or liquids.
•Do not disassemble, attempt to repair or deform the battery.
•Do not dispose of battery pack in a fire.
•Do not touch the terminals of the battery, or cause a short between the terminals with a
metal object.
•Do not peel or damage the battery label.
•Do Not open the paper cover when it is printing or recently finished printing, do not touch
the print head with hand or body, overheat may cause burns.
2. Notes on using
•Do not store the printer in hot and humid conditions.
•Keep your batteries at room temperature and avoid completely discharging lithium-ion
batteries or leaving discharged for prolonged periods of time.
•The printer's power adapter is to be connected to a stable power 110-220 Volts.
•Avoid water or conductive material (for example: metal). If water is present on the surface
please turn off the power immediately.
•Please ensure that a thermal paper roll is always inserted in the printer to avoid damaging
the printing roller and the printer head.
•Please ensure that your printer is serviced and repaired by a qualified technician. No
responsibility is taken for misuse.
•The power adapter that comes with the printer is specifically designed to be only used with
the printer, please do not use an alternative power adapter other than the 9V-2A supplied
with the printer.
•In order to ensure print quality and longevity of your printer, please ensure that only good
quality thermal paper rolls are used.

4. Paper installation
Paper roll diameter: max 40mm
Thermal paper installation method is as follows:
a) Open the printer top cover
b) Ensure the correct orientation of the thermal paper roll before inserting into the storage area
c) Pull out a little of the paper outside printer, then close the top cover
d) Use paper cutter to remove any excess paper

5. Button Operating Instructions
POWER (Blue LED) FEED (Red Led) Printer Status
OFF OFF Printer Off
ON (Always) OFF Printer On, paper is present but
lid is open
ON (Always) Flash Printer On, no paper present and
lid is open
ON (Always) ON (Always) Printer has paper and ready
Under the normal working status, the paper feeding
begins when you press « FEED » button, and stop
when you release « FEED » button
The printer paper feed
Power off the printer, then hold down the « FEED »
button and press the power button at the same time.
ait 2 seconds, then release the « FEED » button, the
current setting will be printed out.
Printer self test
Power off the printer, then hold down the « FEED »
button and press the power button at the same time.
ait until the power indicator & « ERROR » led are
both on, and the « ERROR » led goes out, then
« ERROR » button, the density setting status, will be
printed out (it has three levels for the printing
density), the current density status is indicated
(Low – Middle – High)
