It is compulsory to read this instruction manual before starting operation. The guarantee of
smooth operation and full performance of the product is highly
dependent on the application
of all the instructions contained in this manual.
Operator Qualifications
The workers responsible for using this product must have all the necessary information,
education and receive adequate training regarding safety,
including:
a)
Conditions of use for the equipment;
b)
Foreseeable abnormal situations, pursuant to Article 73 of Legislative Decree
81/08.
We guarantee the product's conformity to specifications and technical instructions
described in the Manual on the date
of issue, listed on this page; however, the product
may be subject to potentially major technical changes in the future, without the
Manual being updated.
Therefore, contact FERVI for information about modifications that may have been
implemented.

GENERAL SAFETY INSTR
1.1
Commissioning
Before using this spray gun, some simple assembly is required.
To properly assemble the spray gun, proceed as follows:
1.
Screw on the compressed air coupling and tighten it firmly
using a
hexagonal wrench.
2.
Insert the paint filter, with the filtering part facing
downwards, inside the opening where the tank will be
screwed in, positioned on top of the spray gun.
3.
Screw the paint tank into the

The minimum operating pressure is 0.2
Adjust the amount of paint and air released from the nozzle
via the three adjustment knobs.

To begin painting, simply aim the spray gun at the element to be painted, keeping it at a
distance of
150
–
200 mm from the surface and press the trigger. While painting, move the
spray gun from side to side to distribute the paint as evenly as possible.
Do not point the spray at people or animals.
If the paint is not evenly distributed, adjust the amount
of air/paint.
To stop the spray of paint, simply release the trigger.
Risk of Fire or Explosion
The solvents and paints can be highly flammable.
Use the spray gun in
well
-
ventilated
areas.
Do not smoke or use an open flame when using the spray gun.
Do
not use solvents that may cause a chemical reaction with the aluminium and zinc
which the gun is constructed of and trigger an explosion.
1.3
Personal Protective Equipment
When using the spray gun, wear protective eye wear, a mask (suitable for painting
operations), gloves and suitable clothing for the painting operation.

paints. It is used for precision work, producing very thin lines, creating smooth surfaces with
uniform colour, and blended tones.

IMPROPER USES AND PR
ECAUTIONS
IT IS STRICTLY FORBIDDEN!
To use the spray gun for
purposes other than those for which it was designed.
To use the spray gun in areas that carry a risk of fire or explosion.
To use solvents that may create a chemical reaction with the aluminium and zinc.
To lock the start lever in the open position.
To use
the spray gun without the proper use of appropriate PPE
To use the spray gun in the presence of children.
To point the spray gun jet at people and/or animals.
To smoke while using the spray gun.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEA
NING
The compressed air connection
must be kept clean and dry.
The paint outlet nozzle and all moving parts should be cleaned thoroughly after each time the
spray gun is used.
To clean, we recommend using a solvent and the brush supplied to remove paint residue and
thoroughly clean the nozz
le.
Once you have finished cleaning with the solvent, rinse the parts with clean water and dry
thoroughly with a dry cloth.
Used nozzles must be replaced with equivalent nozzles.
Contact the Dealer's Customer Service Centre where you purchased the items to
order spare
parts.
5.1
Disposal
The spray gun
Art. A901A
is made of aluminium and the paint tank is
made of plastic. Divide the materials for recycling.
