ALCI SAFETY DEVICE
This appliance is provided with an appliance leakage circuit interrupter (ALCI) safety device built into the plug. This unit
should be tested before each use to confirm that the safety device is operational.
TO TEST:
AFTER PLUGGING IN YOUR HAIR DRYER:
1. Press the reset button on the ALCI device.
2. Press the test button. The reset button will pop out. This verifies that the safety device is operating properly.
3. Press the reset button to reactivate your ALCI safety device.
4. Your hair dryer is now ready for use.
NOTE: This unit may automatically trip when unplugged. If so, the unit must be reset after it is plugged in. If the
dryer doesn’t reset after following the above testing procedure, call 877.344.4328. Never operate this appliance if
it has been dropped in water.
1. This appliance is equipped with an automatic thermal limiter, which will cycle off when overheated and come back on
when cooled down. If the unit cycles off, unplug the cord for several minutes before restarting.
2. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.
SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS
DUAL VOLTAGE DRYER OPERATION
When operating the dryer in North America, place the Voltage Switch in the 120 position.
For use in other countries, confirm the voltage available first. Many countries will require use of the 230 voltage. To
operate the dryer with 230 voltage, place the Voltage Switch to the 230 position and attach the appropriate plug
adaptor to the dryer plug.
1. Use the Voltage Switch to select the appropriate voltage.
2. Plug in the dryer. If operating at 230 voltage a plug adaptor is required.
3. Select the desired heat and speed setting. Choose High for high speed and high heat. Choose Low for low speed
and low heat.
4. Unplug dryer when finished drying hair.
5. Do not pack or store dryer until it has cooled down completely.

MAINTENANCE
The appliance is virtually maintenance free. Keep all openings clean and free of dust, dirt and hairstyling products.
PERIODICALLY CHECK THE AIR FILTER AND IF THERE IS ANY LINT OR DEBRIS TRAPPED IN IT, TURN THE POWER OFF,
UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND THEN REMOVE BACK COVER BY ROTATING COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, AND CLEAN OUT
THE AIR FILTER. If any cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior
with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING: IF MALFUNCTION OCCURS, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE APPLIANCE YOURSELF; CONTACT THE
MANUFACTURER IMMEDIATELY. THE APPLIANCE HAS NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS.
STORAGE
• When not in use, unplug the appliance.
• Allow the appliance to cool, and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord
around the appliance as this may cause premature wear of the cord and may lead to cord damage that is not
covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Handle the cord carefully to extend cord life, and avoid bending,
twisting or straining the cord especially at the cord connection.

How Long Does The Warranty Last? One (1) year from the date of purchase. Limitations: (A) THE DURATION OF ANY
IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, GOOD AND WORKMANLIKE
PERFORMANCE OF SERVICE, OR OTHERWISE, ON THIS PRODUCT ARE LIMITED TO THE DURATION OF THE EXPRESS
WARRANTY SET FORTH ABOVE WHICH IS ONE (1) YEAR FROM THE DATE OF PURCHASE. (B) FHI HEAT SHALL NOT
BE LIABLE FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES THAT ARISE OUT OF THE INSTALLATION, USE OR

What Will FHI Heat Do? FHI Heat will replace your appliance at no charge other than a $35.00 return shipping and
handling fee. The replacement appliance is warranted for the remainder of the original one (1) year warranty period. If the
tool sent in is no longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable tool.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover? This warranty does not cover any steel parts; plastic parts; flex cord; damages caused

by negligence, misuse, tampering, alteration, failure to follow safety, operation, or maintenance instructions; appliances
purchased over the Internet or through any Internet auction site or from any other outlet that is not a professional salon;
or alteration or removal of the serial number or other identifying marks on the appliance or the packaging. Further, this
warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
How to Get Your Appliance Replaced?
Save your original receipt.
(A) Return the appliance with the original receipt to the professional salon from which it was purchased where the appliance
may be exchanged at no charge, depending on the retailer’s exchange policy (terms and conditions may vary depending
on store’s exchange policy);
(B) WITHIN the Warranty Period: Please (1) contact FHI Heat at 877.344.4328 to obtain a Return Authorization Number
and return instructions, and (2) return the defective product with a shipping, handling and replacement fee of $35.00
(“SHR Fee”)
(C) OUTSIDE the Warranty Period: FHI Heat MAY, at its sole and absolute discretion, cover your defect on a case-by-case
basis. Please call FHI Heat at 877.344.4328 for determination. IF FHI Heat, in its discretion, agrees to accept the return,
then: (1) you must obtain a Return Authorization Number and return instructions, and (2) return the defective product with
the applicable SHR Fee.
The SHR Fee must be paid in the form of money order or check drawn on a US bank and made payable to “FHI Heat.”
(PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH). We WILL NOT process any returns without a Return Authorization Number or the SHR Fee.
We strongly recommend tracking your shipment using UPS, Federal Express or Registered Mail and keeping the tracking
number for your records. You are responsible for the shipping charges to send your appliance to FHI Heat. We are not
responsible for products lost or damaged in transit.
How Does State Law Apply? This warranty gives you specific legal rights and you may also have other rights which vary
from state to state. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation of
implied warranties may not apply to you. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.

DISPOSITIF DE SÉCURITÉ D’ALCI
Cet appareil est équipé d’un disjoncteur établi dans la prise. Cet appareil devrait être testé avant que chaque utilisation
pour confirmer que le disjoncteur est opérationnel.
POUR TESTER:

1. Cet appareil est équipé d’un limiteur thermique automatique, qui s’éteint lorsqu’il surchauffe et s’allume lorsqu’il se refroidit. Si
l’appareil s’éteint, débranchez le cordon d’alimentation pendant plusieurs minutes avant de le remettre en marche.
2. Cet appareil a une prise polarisée (une lame est plus large que l’autre). Comme dispositif de sécurité, cette
prise ne s’adaptera que dans une direction à la prise de courant polarisée. Si la prise ne s’adapte pas
entièrement dans la prise de courant, renversez la prise. S’il ne s’adapte toujours pas, contactez un électricien
qualifié. N’essayez pas de vaincre ce dispositif de sécurité.

FONCTIONNEMENT DU SÈCHE-CHEVEUX À DOUBLE TENSION
Lorsque vous utilisez le sèche-cheveux en Amérique du Nord, placer l’interrupteur de tension sur 120 volts.
Pour une utilisation dans d’autres pays, vérifiez d’abord la tension disponible. De nombreux pays nécessitent une tension
de 230 volts. Pour faire fonctionner le sèche-cheveux sur 230 volts, placez le commutateur de tension sur 230 et fixez
l’adaptateur de prise approprié à la prise du sèche-cheveux.
1. Utilisez le sélecteur de tension pour sélectionner la tension appropriée.
2. Branchez le sèche-cheveux. En cas de fonctionnement sur une tension de 230 volts un adaptateur pour prise est
nécessaire.
3. Sélectionnez le réglage de chaleur et la vitesse souhaités. Choisissez « High » pour une grande vitesse et pour une haute
température. Choisissez « Low » pour une vitesse basse et une basse température.
4. Débranchez le sèche-cheveux lorsque vous avez terminé le séchage des cheveux.
5. Ne pas emballer ou stocker le sèche-cheveux tant qu’il n’est pas complètement refroidi.
ENTRETIEN
L’appareil n’a pratiquement pas besoin d’entretien. Maintenez toutes les ouvertures propres et exemptes de la poussière,
de la saleté et des produits de cheveux. PÉRIODIQUEMENT VÉRIFIEZ LE FILTRE À AIR ET S’IL Y A DES FIBRES OU DÉBRIS
COINCÉS À L’INTÉRIEUR, ÉTEIGNEZ L’APPAREIL, DÉBRANCHEZ-LE ET RETIREZ LA COUVERCLE EN LE TOURNANT DANS
LE SENS CONTRAIRE DES AIGUILLES D’UNE MONTRE, ET NETTOYEZ LE FILTRE À AIR. Si n’importe quel nettoyage devient
nécessaire, débranchez l’appareil de la source d’énergie et essuyez l’extérieur avec un tissu humide. Si le cordon s’enroule,
déroulez-le avant de l’utiliser.

DISPOSITIVO DE SEGURIDAD ALCI
Este aparato cuenta con un dispositivo de seguridad con interruptor de circuito contra fuga en el aparato (ALCI)
incorporado en el enchufe. Esta unidad debe probarse antes de cada uso para confirmar que el dispositivo de seguridad
esté funcionando.
PARA PROBAR:
DESPUÉS DE CONECTAR LA SECADORA DE CABELLO:
1. Presione el botón de restablecimiento (reset) del dispositivo ALCI.
2. Presione el botón de prueba (test). El botón de restablecimiento saltará. Esto verifica que el dispositivo de seguridad
funciona correctamente.
3. Presione el botón de restablecimiento para activar su dispositivo de seguridad.
4. Su secadora para el cabello está lista para usarse.
NOTA: Esta unidad puede desactivarse automáticamente al ser desconectada. Si es así, deberá restablecer la unidad
después de conectarla. Si la secadora no se restablece después de seguir el procedimiento de prueba descrito anteriormente,
llame al 877.344.4328. Nunca haga funcionar este aparato si ha caído en agua.
1. Este aparato está equipado con un limitador térmico automático que ciclará entre apagar el aparato cuando se

USO DEL SECADOR DE DOBLE VOLTAJE
Cuando use el secador en América del Norte, ponga el interruptor de voltaje en la posición 120.
Para usarlo en otros países, primero confirme el voltaje disponible. Muchos países requerirán el uso de un voltaje
de 230. Para usar el secador con un voltaje de 230, ponga el interruptor de voltaje en la posición 230 y conecte el
adaptador apropiado al enchufe del secador.
1. Use el interruptor de voltaje para seleccionar el voltaje adecuado.
2. Conecte el secador. Si lo usa con un voltaje de 230, necesitará un adaptador de enchufe.
3. Seleccione el calor y la velocidad deseados. Elija Alto (High) para velocidad y calor altos. Elija Bajo (Low) para
velocidad y calor bajos.
4. Desconecte el secador cuando termine de secarse el cabello.
5. No empaque ni guarde el secador hasta que se haya enfriado por completo.
MANTENIMIENTO
El aparato prácticamente no requiere mantenimiento. Mantenga todas las aperturas limpias y libres de polvo, suciedad

Cómo re-emplazar tu product?
