ALCI SAFETY DEVICE
This appliance is provided with an appliance leakage circuit interrupter (ALCI) safety device built into the plug. This unit
should be tested before each use to confirm that the safety device is operational.
TO TEST:
AFTER PLUGGING IN YOUR HAIR DRYER:
1. Press the reset button on the ALCI device.
2. Press the test button. The reset button will pop out. This verifies that the safety device is operating properly.
3. Press the reset button to reactivate your ALCI safety device.
4. Your hair dryer is now ready for use.
NOTE: This unit may automatically trip when unplugged. If so, the unit must be reset after it is plugged in. If the
dryer doesn’t reset after following the above testing procedure, call 877.344.4328. Never operate this appliance if
it has been dropped in water.
1. This appliance is equipped with an automatic thermal limiter, which will cycle off when overheated and come back on
when cooled down. If the unit cycles off, unplug the cord for several minutes before restarting.
2. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). As a safety feature, this plug will fit in
a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not fit, contact
a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to defeat this safety feature.

INSTRUCTIONS
• Plug the appliance into an appropriate power supply. The heat level and fan speed of the appliance can be
controlled independently using the upper and lower switches, respectively.
• The lower switch controls fan speed. When the switch is in the left position, the fan is turned off. Move the
lower switch to the center position for low fan speed, or the right position for high fan speed.
• The upper switch controls heat level. When the switch is in the left position, the heat is turned off. Move the
upper switch to the center position for low heat, or the right position for high heat.
• The blue “COOL SHOT” button may be used to set a hairstyle after blow-drying. Click once to engage the
Cool Shot feature and click again to disengage.
• After use, make sure both switches are in the left (O) position before unplugging the appliance.
• Do not pull the cord to unplug the appliance; grasp the plug firmly to remove it from the electrical outlet.
The appliance is equipped with a thermostat that may cut out if the temperature exceeds a preset level due to partially
blocked air inlets/outlet openings. In the event that the appliance stops during use, turn off all switches and allow the
appliance to cool down. The thermostat will automatically reset. During use, do not block the air inlet/outlet openings.
When using the appliance near water, the use of an electrical outlet protected by a circuit breaker is strongly recommended.

MAINTENANCE
The appliance is virtually maintenance free. Keep all openings clean and free of dust, dirt and hairstyling products.
PERIODICALLY CHECK THE AIR FILTER AND IF THERE IS ANY LINT OR DEBRIS TRAPPED IN IT, TURN THE POWER OFF,
UNPLUG THE APPLIANCE AND THEN REMOVE BACK COVER BY ROTATING COUNTER-CLOCKWISE, AND CLEAN OUT
THE AIR FILTER. If any cleaning becomes necessary, disconnect the appliance from the power source and wipe the exterior
with a damp cloth. If the cord becomes twisted, untwist prior to use.
WARNING: IF MALFUNCTION OCCURS, DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THE APPLIANCE YOURSELF; CONTACT THE
MANUFACTURER IMMEDIATELY. THE APPLIANCE HAS NO USER-SERVICEABLE PARTS.
STORAGE
• When not in use, unplug the appliance.
• Allow the appliance to cool, and store out of reach of children in a safe, dry location. Never wrap the cord
around the appliance as this may cause premature wear of the cord and may lead to cord damage that is not
covered under the manufacturer’s warranty. Handle the cord carefully to extend cord life, and avoid bending,
twisting or straining the cord especially at the cord connection.

What Will FHI Brands Do? FHI Brands will replace your appliance at no charge other than a $35.00 return shipping and
handling fee. The replacement appliance is warranted for the remainder of the original two (2) year warranty period. If the
tool sent in is no longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable tool.
What Does This Warranty Not Cover? This warranty does not cover any steel parts; plastic parts; flex cord; damages caused
by negligence, misuse, tampering, alteration, failure to follow safety, operation, or maintenance instructions; appliances
purchased over the Internet or through any Internet auction site or from any other outlet that is not a professional salon;
or alteration or removal of the serial number or other identifying marks on the appliance or the packaging. Further, this

warranty does not cover normal wear and tear.
How to Get Your Appliance Replaced?
Save your original receipt.
(A) Return the appliance with the original receipt to the professional salon from which it was purchased where the appliance
may be exchanged at no charge, depending on the retailer’s exchange policy (terms and conditions may vary depending
on store’s exchange policy);
(B) WITHIN the Warranty Period: Please (1) contact FHI Brands at 877.344.4328 to obtain a Return Authorization Number
and return instructions, and (2) return the defective product with a shipping, handling and replacement fee of $35.00
(“SHR Fee”)
(C) OUTSIDE the Warranty Period: FHI Brands MAY, at its sole and absolute discretion, cover your defect on a case-by-case
basis. Please call FHI Brands at 877.344.4328 for determination. IF FHI Brands, in its discretion, agrees to accept the return,
then: (1) you must obtain a Return Authorization Number and return instructions, and (2) return the defective product with
the applicable SHR Fee.
The SHR Fee must be paid in the form of money order or check drawn on a US bank and made payable to “FHI Brands.”
(PLEASE DO NOT SEND CASH). We WILL NOT process any returns without a Return Authorization Number or the SHR Fee.
We strongly recommend tracking your shipment using UPS, Federal Express or Registered Mail and keeping the tracking
number for your records. You are responsible for the shipping charges to send your appliance to FHI Brands. We are not
responsible for products lost or damaged in transit.

DISPOSITIF DE SÉCURITÉ D’ALCI
Cet appareil est équipé d’un disjoncteur établi dans la prise. Cet appareil devrait être testé avant que chaque utilisation
pour confirmer que le disjoncteur est opérationnel.
POUR TESTER:
APRÈS BRANCHEMENT DANS VOTRE SÈCHE-CHEVEUX:
1. Appuyez sur le bouton « RESET » sur le disjoncteur.
2. Appuyez sur la touche « TEST ». Le bouton « RESET » sautera. Ceci vérifie que le disjoncteur fonctionne correctement.
3. Appuyez sur le bouton « RESET » pour réactiver votre disjoncteur.
4. Votre sèche-cheveux est maintenant prêt à l’emploi.
NOTE: Cet appareil peut automatiquement se déclencher une fois débranché. Si oui, l’appareil doit être réinitialisé
après qu’il soit branché. Si le sèche-cheveux ne réinitialise pas après avoir suivi la méthode d’essai ci-dessus, appelez le
877.344.4328. Ne jamais utiliser cet appareil s’il a été fait tomber dans l’eau.
1. Cet appareil est équipé d’un limiteur thermique automatique, qui s’éteint lorsqu’il surchauffe et s’allume lorsqu’il se refroidit. Si
l’appareil s’éteint, débranchez le cordon d’alimentation pendant plusieurs minutes avant de le remettre en marche.
2. Cet appareil a une prise polarisée (une lame est plus large que l’autre). Comme dispositif de sécurité, cette
prise ne s’adaptera que dans une direction à la prise de courant polarisée. Si la prise ne s’adapte pas
entièrement dans la prise de courant, renversez la prise. S’il ne s’adapte toujours pas, contactez un électricien
qualifié. N’essayez pas de vaincre ce dispositif de sécurité.

INSTRUCTIONS
• Branchez l’appareil à une alimentation d’énergie appropriée. Le niveau de la chaleur et la vitesse de l’hélice de
l’appareil peuvent être commandés indépendamment à l’aide des boutons supérieurs et inférieurs, respectivement.
• Le bouton inférieur commande la vitesse de l’hélice. Quand le bouton est en position sur la gauche, le ventilateur est
éteint. Déplacez le bouton inférieur à la position centrale pour la vitesse basse de l’hélice, ou en position sur la droite
pour la vitesse de l’hélice élevée.
• Le bouton supérieur commande le niveau de la chaleur. Quand le bouton est en position sur la gauche, la chaleur est
arrêtée. Déplacez le bouton supérieur à la position centrale pour mettre l’appareil à basse température, ou en position
sur la droite pour le mettre à haute température.
• Apres usage, assurez-vous que les deux boutons sont (o) positionnés sur la gauche avant de débrancher l’appareil.
• Le bouton bleu « COOL SHOT » peut être utilisé pour définir une coiffure après le brushing. Cliquez une fois pour
engager le dispositif « COOL SHOT » et pour cliquer encore dessus pour le désengager.
• Ne tirez pas le cordon pour débrancher l’appareil; saisissez la prise fermement pour l’enlever de la sortie électrique.
L’appareil est équipé d’un thermostat qui peut s’éteindre si la température excède celle choisie en raison des orifices d’
air ou des ouvertures de sortie partiellement bloqués. Dans l’événement que l’appareil s’arrête pendant l’utilisation,
éteignez tout et permettez à l’appareil de refroidir. Le thermostat remettra à zéro automatiquement. Pendant l’utilisation,
ne bloquez pas les ouvertures d’entrée ou de sortie d’air. Quand vous utilisez l’appareil près de l’eau, l’utilisation
d’une sortie électrique protégée par un disjoncteur est vivement recommandée.
ENTRETIEN
L’appareil n’a pratiquement pas besoin d’entretien. Maintenez toutes les ouvertures propres et exemptes de la poussière,

LE SENS CONTRAIRE DES AIGUILLES D’UNE MONTRE, ET NETTOYEZ LE FILTRE À AIR. Si n’importe quel nettoyage devient
nécessaire, débranchez l’appareil de la source d’énergie et essuyez l’extérieur avec un tissu humide. Si le cordon s’enroule,
déroulez-le avant de l’utiliser.

STOCKAGE
• Quand vous n’utilisez pas l’appareil, débranchez-le.

Qu’est ce que FHI Brands, vous offer, et comment avoir le service garantie? FHI Brands va remplacer votre appareil
gratuitement et vous chargera rien autre que $35.00 pour les frais de retour de livraison et de manutention. Le replacement
de l’appareil est garanti pendant la période restante de la garantie originale de deux (2) ans. Si votre outiln’est plu
disponible, il va être remplacé avac un autre équivalent.
Qu’est ce que la garantia ne couvre pas? Cette garantie ne couvre pas les pièces en acier, en plastique, les fil électriques, les
dommages causés par la négligence, le mauvais usage, la falsification, la retouche, le manqué de sécurité, les instructions
d’operation ou d’usage, les appareils acquis sur Internet ou à travers n’importe quel site de vente enchère ou de n’importe

quel autre magasin autre que les salons professionnels, ou Toute modification ou enlévement du numéro de serie ou autre
marque d’identification sure l’appareil ou sur le paquet. En outré, cette garantie ne couvre pas le dommage à cause d’un
mauvais usage intentionné.
Comment replacer votre appareil?
Gardez toujours votre reçu original
(A) Retournez l’appareil avec le reçu original au salon professional au quell vous l’avez acquis et où l’appareil peut être
remplacé gratuitement selon les règles d’ échange du distributeur (termes et conditions varies selon les règles d’échanges.)
(B) Se trouve dans la péridoe de garantie, veuillez alors: 1) contacter FHI Brands au 877.344.4328 pour obtenir un numero
d’autorisation de renvoi et des instructions de renvoi, et 2) renvoyer le produit défectueux avec une somme de 35 dollars
pour l’expédition, la manipulation et le replacement du produit (dépenses <<EMR>>).
(C) Se trouve en dehors de la période de garantie, alors FHI Brands PEUT, à sa discrétion unique et absolue, couvrir la
défectuosité de votre produit cas par cas. Veuillez appeler FHI Brands au 877.334.4328 pour déterminer si cela sera
couvert. Si FHI Brands, à sa discrétion, accepte le renvoi du produit, alors (1) vous devez obtenir un numero d’autorisation
de revoi et des instructions de renvoi, et (2) renvoyez le produit deféctueux avec les sommes pour dépense EMR.
Cette somme EMR doit être payee au moyen d’un mandat postal ou d’un chèque tiré sur une banque US et payable à <<FHI
Brands>>. (VEUILLEZ NE PAS EN ENVOYER D’ARGENT LIQUIDE). Nous NE TRAITERONS AUCUN renvoir effectué sans
numéro d’autorisation de renvoi ou sans paiement EMR.
Nous recommendons que vous traquiez votre colis en utilisant le service UPS, Fédéral Express ou mail registré, et que

vous gardez vos reçus originales pour future ulilisation. Vous estes completement responsables pour les frais de poste pour
envoyer vos appareils à FHI Heat. Nous ne sommes pas responsables des produits perdus ou endommagés pendant le
transit.
Comment est ce que la loi d’Etat s’applique? Cette garantie vous donne des droits légaux spécifiques et vous pouvex aussi
avoir d’autres droits qui varient d’un Etat à un atre.
