ATTENTION:
During the installation it must be observed that no dirt
(e. g. sand) will get into the water circulation –
otherwise the pump will not function!
In any case, the waterlines have to be flushed clean
before being connected to the water line!
The dirt sieve should not (for any reason) be taken out –
this would cancel the guarantee!

3. Using a small screwdriver
(3 mm wide), carefully pry off the pressure cap of
the self-closing valve at the recess

2. Adjusting the Flow Time
The flow time has already been pre-set at the factory setting.
If you still would like to change the flow time (longer or shorter flow time), then you can do so with
the following installation steps:
The flow time can change based on varying local water pressures!
1. Remove pressure cap as previously
described
2. Adjust the flow time with a screw driver
(3mm width)
Carefully and with feeling, insert the
screw driver into the middle hole of the
self-closing valve
3. Carefully, and without great exertion in
force, turn it in the desired direction
clockwise: shorter flow time
counterclockwise: longer flow time
4. After the adjustment has been done,
press the self-closing valve once per hand
in order to test the new adjusted time.

3. Exchanging the Functional Device inside the Self-Closing Valve
Remove pressure cap as previously
described
Loosen the snap ring washer with a
small screw driver
Carefully pull up the cover
Remove spring

Carefully unscrew the functional device
using a ratchet with a 22 nut
Remove the functional device
Insert the new functional device and
tighten (hand-tight).
PLEASE DO NOT DESTROY THE
THREAD! The guarantee is cancelled
when the thread is destroyed
The installation is done in the reverse
order as described above!

Sources of Errors / Troubleshooting
Water flow rate too long / too short See instructions on page 2-4 (Adjusting the flow
time)
Water runs through during initial operation
Close water supply
Pump the pressure cap several times
Then open the water supply again
Water runs through continuously
Dirt particles and other contaminants can impair
the functionality of the self-closing valve.
Therefore, the entire system should be thoroughly
rinsed out, before the functional device is
replaced!

Damage due to frost See instructions on page 5-6
(Anticipate exchanging the functional device)
Attention Protect Pumps from Frost:
The device is sensitive to frost and must be de-installed or shut down/emptied during the
winter.
The water must be shut off and remaining water drained.
Pump/pressure cap mechanism must be activated several times after the shut-down, in
order to empty the gate valve, or as the case may be, to ensure the return flow of the
water.
