TRANSPORT
PACKED MACHINE HANDLING
The machine is packed in a case fixed on a special pallet. On the case it is indicated the gravity centre with a
black arrow. The pallet must be forked in the middle of the side with the black arrow in order to avoid
overturning. The case should be handled with extreme caution. It is forbidden to lay cases on each other.
Case Dimensions (LxWxH): 1670x900x1200 mm.
HOW TO UNPACK THE MACHINE
1. Cut the plastic bands. Pay attention to the spring back.
2. Remove the clips that fix the carton to the pallet.
3. If the case is made of plywood, remove the clips from the each side and the base.
4. Remove the plastic bands that hold the machine.
5. Place the machine on the ground.
UNPACKED MACHINE HANDLING
1. Check the machine and install the batteries if they are not installed.
2. If the machine has to be handled for a short transport, disconnect the battery cables. It is recommended
to pack the machine again in its original case if it has to be handled for a longer transport.

8
GENERAL RULES FOR A MACHINE PROPER USE
-The vehicle is designed for one person, so do not let anybody get on the vehicle except the driver.
-Do not modify the machine.
-Drive the vehicle in a proper way and in a proper position.
-Drive slowly on wet surfaces.
-Keep the vehicle and trolleys always under control.
-Make sure that the load weight is not higher than kg. 2500.
-Keep a safety distance from ramps and platforms.
-Keep a proper safety distance according to the speed.
-Do not park the vehicle in front of corridors, fire equipment, etc. Follow the street code both inside out
outside buildings if any other rules are not indicated.
-When the vehicle is left unattended, switch off the machine, take away the key and put on the hand
brake.

9
PREPARATION TO WORK
REQUIRED OPERATOR’ S QUALITIES
Only trained people in load transport are authorized to drive the minute – tractor. Operators must be
qualified and must not have visual, audiometric, physical and/or mental problems in order to avoid
accidents while driving the vehicle.
MACHINE CONTROL
The machine must be correctly maintained.
Every time an operator works with the mini – tractor, i.e. after a night, he must carry out the following
procedures:
-check visually possible damages in the machine structure;
-check the tyres pressure;
-check if the battery is charged;
-check if the electric system has been damaged. They are indicated on the control format report.
-check the brakes forward and reverse;
-check the starting;
-check the turn of the wheel up to the limit with a low speed.
In case of anomaly or a bad functioning, stop the vehicle and call an ING. O. FIORENTINI
technician.
BATTERY RECHARGE
The machine is fed by a battery, which is not supplied by ING. O. FIORENTINI. On the dashboard
there is a five-green-led-display that shows the battery charge level. The battery is completely low
when there is only one flashing red led switched on.
In order to reach a long battery life and a good performance of the vehicle, it is necessary to recharge
the battery before it is completely low. After a short period of such switching on the performance of
the machine reduces automatically to safeguard of the battery. Bring the mini – tractor to a well fan
cooled place for the battery recharge. When recharging the battery, keep the mini-tractor away from
flames and sparks.
CAUTION: the batteries continuously release highly explosive gasses; that highly increase during the
battery recharge. Therefore, batteries have to be kept away from flames, sparks and cigarettes.
The mini-tractor is supplied with a battery charger. It is automatic and it is equipped with an electronic
device that analyses the battery charge status. It is sufficient to connect the battery charger to the
socket, which must be adequate to the proprieties of the battery charger.

10
HOW TO CHECK THE MACHINE
PERIODICAL CONTROLS
It is periodically necessary to do the following checks without loads:
- accelerate until you gradually reach the maximum speed;
- check the brakes;
- check the turn of the wheel in both directions.
If one of the above test is not satisfactory, please immediately advise an ING. O.
FIORENTINI technician.
INACTIVITY PERIODS
If the mini-tractor is not used for two or three weeks, it is necessary to disconnect the
batteries, lift the tractor from the ground and place the frame on shims.
CAUTION: please remember that the batteries discharge even if they are not working.
Therefore they have to be recharged about every twenty days.
TYRE PRESSURE
At regular intervals, about every fortnight, check the tyre pressure. The pressure must be
indicatively 4 bar in rear tyres and 3 bar in the front tyre.
Change the tyre in case of puncture or anomalous deflation.
CAUTION: a low pressure can provoke a loss of stability and consequently an overturning.
HOW TO CLEAN THE MACHINE
The mini-tractor can be used outside and therefore dirt. It is necessary to check that there
are not any mud crusts or anything else preventing the normal use of the tie bars and
levers of the braking system. Remove them without using water jets, that could seep into
the motor and damage it. Do not clean the vehicle using hydro cleaners or water jets; the
electric and electronic system are not watertight and could therefore be damaged.

11
CONTROLS AND FUNCTIONING
The mini-tractor controls are arranged and designed to allow a perfect machine functioning. Before
using the mini-tractor for the first time, please make confident with all the controls. Read the following
instructions carefully and with the key on OFF test the various controls.
Steering Wheel: the steering wheel and the steering system are similar to the motor vehicle ones. To
turn right, turn the steering wheel to the right (clockwise); to turn left, turn the steering wheel to the
left (counterclockwise). This vehicle has a minimum steering radium and a low ratio. These are ideal
properties for low speed manoeuvres, but the operator must pay a greater attention while driving
faster. It is possible that one rear tyre lose contact with the ground if the turn of the wheel is too fast.
Safety Switch: the seat is equipped with a micro switch that, feeling the presence of the operator, starts
the electric circuit.

12
Gear Selector: the forward/reverse lever
gear selector is placed on the left of the
dashboard. The central OFF position is
neutral.
Ignition Key: the mini-tractor is
equipped with a starting key on the
right of the dashboard. The key is
locked in the switch when it is on the
position ‘ON’.
Battery Charger
Indicator: see page
8.
Optional: the mini-
tractor can be
provided with a
count hours that
shows the battery
duration in hours.
Lights Switch: it is on
the right of the
dashboard next to the
flashing light switch and
checks the front and tail
working and position
lights.
Flashing Light Switch: it
is on the right of the
dashboard next to the
lights switch and
controls the switch on of
the optional flashing
light.
Accelerator Pedal: it is on the right of the brake pedal. This pedal has been designed to be operated with
the right foot as well as the motor vehicles one.
Acoustic Horn: the
acoustic horn works
by pushing the gear
selector to the
right.
Brake Pedal: it is placed on the left
of the accelerator. It is similar in
use and characteristics to the motor
vehicles one. Releasing the pedal
the braking action is interrupted.
The pedal even controls the
switching on of the tail stop lights.
Steering Wheel: its
position is adjustable
thanks to a lever.

13
Parking Brake: it is placed on the right of the
driver. The hand brake lever must be used
every time the operator stops the mini-
tractor. The parking brake can stop the
vehicle and the load on plane surfaces or on
slight slopes.
Emergency Button: push it in emergency
situations. It stops the machine power supply.
When the vehicle is parked the operator must
push it.
Tow Hook: the mini-tractor is
equipped with a hook where the
truck towing arm has to be placed.
Hooking the trolley: it is necessary to
remove the pivot from its support,
get the vehicle closer to the trolley,
put the trolley arm and replace the
pivot.
CAUTION: if it is necessary to
modify the tow hook, never install it
at a height higher than the normal
one.
Battery Connection Plug: it is
inside the vehicle body. Put the
plug into the socket until the
battery is completely charged.
