3.1 FOREWORD
CARRARO COMPACT tractors are designed and
manufactured to oer trouble-free performance for
many years. We developed them to oer the best
working conditions possible for both comfort and
safety. Agricultural work always involves various
hazards. Therefore it is better to be aware of them
and act accordingly. Please note the following points
requiring your utmost attention (not limited to these).
Please contact your dealer for any further information
about the tractor.
WARNING
This tractor is designed solely for use in customary
agricultural or similar use (“intended use”). Use in any
other way is considered as contrary to the intended
use (“unintended use”). The manufacturer accepts no
liability for damage or injury resulting from this misuse,
and these risks must be borne solely by the user.
The tractor is designed to drive, carry and activate
various attachments towed or mounted, however within
specic physical restraints. Use the tractor solely for the
specic operations it was designed for: push, pull, tow,
drive and carry various interchangeable attachments
conceived for agricultural works.
Use of tractors in forestry is limited to specic
applications such as transport, stationary works (such
as log splitting), propulsion or equipment with PTO,
electrical or hydraulic system. Normal operations for
these applications do not entail any risk of falling or
cutting objects. Any forestry application dierent from
the above, such as moving forward and loading, requires
adjustment of the specic components according to
application (FOPS, Falling Object Protection Structure
and/or OPS, Operative Protective Structures).
CAUTION: Agricube VLB tractors are NOT
equipped with OPS protection structure.
Working speed and performance might be aected by
several factors such as climate and soil conditions.
Even though the tractor is designed for use of various
equipment combinations, dierent factors might
considerably limit the tractor and or the mounted or
towed attachments performance.

Do not use the tractor for other purpose than the
manufacturer's intended one as specied in this
manual.
Before starting the engine or an operation, make sure
nobody is standing by the tractor, the attachments and
the work area. Never set your hands, feet and clothes
close to the moving components.
Failure to strictly abide by these precautions when
using the tractor or improper use could lead to serious
injury. Pay attention to the hazards deriving from
tractor use. Most common injury cases are due to:
• Tractor tipping over
• Collisions with motor vehicles
• Non-conforming starting procedures
• Entangling in PTO shafts
• Fall from the tractor
• Crushing and injury when mounting attachments
To avoid injury, take the precautions below:
• Never jump on or o the tractor while it is moving.
• Keep children and any unauthorised sta away
from the tractors and all attachments.
• Drive the tractor only using type-approved seats
with safety belt.
• Ensure all protections / covers are duly in place.
• Use suitable visual and acoustic warning
indications when working on public roads.
• Move to the side of the road before stopping.
• Decrease speed when steering, applying
one brake at a time or working on bumpy or
dangerous steep sloping ground.
• Couple brake pedals together when driving on the
road.
• Pump on brake pedal to stop on slippery ground.
• Pay attention when towing heavy loads and
stopping. Stopping distance increases with speed,
weight of towed load and downhill slope. Towed
load, with or without brakes, if too heavy for the
type of tractor or towed at too high a speed could
make you lose control of the tractor. Consider
overall equipment and load weight.
• Fix any towed load solely to the approved devices
or the vehicle might tip back.
