Required Tools
A #2 Phillips screwdriver is required (not supplied). Note a magnetic tipped screwdriver
will facilitate the installation of the attachment screws.
Preparing for the Maestro Tilt Hinged Feet Installation
If the Maestro is powered on, power it off by pressing the Power Button on the top. Disconnect all cables.
Use a flat, well-lighted surface such as a table or work bench to perform the Maestro Tilt Hinged Feet
installation.
You may want to use several small containers to store and organize the screws that will be used as part of
the Tilt Hinged Feet installation.
Make sure to observe basic ESD control procedures to prevent static discharges that may damage
sensitive electronics components inside the Maestro, such as grounding yourself to reduce static electrical
build up.
Preparing the Work Surface
The top of the foam insert used in packing the Maestro will be used as a work surface to prevent
scratches to the front of the unit and to level the Maestro while attaching the Tilt Hinged Feet.
Using the Top Foam Packing Material as an Work S urface Offset
The knobs on the front of the Maestro does not allow for the unit to lie flat on its front to facilitate easy
installation of the Tilt Hinged Feet. Therefore the part of the Maestro packing material will be used as an
offset to create a flat work surface for installing the Tilt Hinged Feet.
As shown in the picture below, use the top of the foam packing material and the plastic bag the Maestro
was packed in to create a convenient work surface offset. Allow the plastic bag to extend to the left to
protect the tops of the knobs. Alternately a soft cloth may be used in place of the plastic bag if desired.

Place the Maestro on the Work Surface Offset
As shown in the picture below, place the Maestro touch screen display face down on the top of the foam
packing material allow the knobs to rest on the covered work surface. This will allow of the Maestro to lie
flat for the installation of the Tilt Hinged Feet.
Installing the Maestro Tilt Hinged Feet
Once the Maestro is properly oriented, the Tilt Hinged Feet can be conveniently installed.
Locating the Tilt Hinged Feet Mounting Screw Holes
Locate the four (4) M4 mounting screw holes at the bottom center of the Maestro as shown below with
the four arrows.

Orientating the Tilt Hinged Feet Components
Orient feet bases separated by a few inches as shown below. Place a set of two (2) screws at the top and
bottom of each foot. Position hinge from bag marked: ST-11A-140SB-50 on left. Position hinge from bag
marked: SA-11A-140SA-50 on right side. Each hinge is also marked on bottom with “A” and “B” for easy
identification.
Install Plugs in Feet
Insert two each of the plastic plugs into each foot as shown below.

Below is an image showing all 4 plastic plugs installed.
Verify the Correct Orientation of the Feet
The two (2) mounting holes on the feet are not centered; they are closer to one end of the foot than the
other. Before installing the hinges, verify the orientation of each foot so that the mounting holes are
farther away from you, towards the Maestro.

Verify the Correct Orientation of the Hinges
There is a left and right hinge designated as “A and “B” which is stamped on the underside of each hinge
as shown below. The “B” hinge will be installed on the left foot and the “A” hinge will be installed on the
right foot. Please note that each hinge consists of a narrow and wide tab. The narrow tab, shown as the
one at the bottom is the part of the hinge that will be attached to the foot in the next installation step.
Attach Hinges to Feet
Flip the left or “B” hinge over and attach it to the foot with two (2) M4 attachment screws using a #2
screwdriver. Tighten snugly, but do not overtighten. Repeat the procedure for the right or “A” hinge as
shown below.

Prepare Hinge-Foot Assembly for Attachment to Maestro
Rotate Hinge “A” and “B” tabs up to vertical position as shown below in preparation for installing each
foot on the Maestro.
Attach Hinge-Foot Assembly to Maestro
Position the right hinge-foot assembly “A” on the right side back of Maestro as shown below. Using a #2
screwdriver, attach with two M4 screws. Tighten snugly, but do not overtighten. Repeat the procedure
for attaching the left hinge-foot assembly “B” on the left side back.

position.
