WHAT DOES THE FLOODCHECK(R)™ DO?
1. Floodcheck(r)™ monitors the water supply,24/7. , and will automatically turn your water o
if…….
2. The temperature where it is installed falls below 3 deg Celsius (Freeze).
3. There is a major rupture in the pipes/system or an excessive demand is detected (this is
called (Excess ow).This can be due to the excess ow settings set too low.
4. A leak occurs, or you leave taps running and water ows continuously for longer than
30mins (this is called Time out).Can be adjusted by the TIME OUT settings.(Max is 40
minutes.)
5. The property is vacant or no water is used at all for any 24 hour period (vacant 24hr non
use). Floodcheck will stop the water leaking from a burst after 10 - 30mins.Serious leaks
(Excess ow) will be stopped after just 10 seconds.

HAVE YOU BEEN AWAY FOR 24HRS OR MORE?
1. If you do not use ANY WATER AT ALL FOR ANY 24 HOUR PERIOD,
Floodcheck will shut the water o until you return and RESET IT.
2. The “TIME OUT” light will come on in the Valve unit and at you, until you
return and push the RESET button on the Remote Control Unit.
Below is a photo of the Remote Control Unit. To restore the water supply
:-
Close all the taps. Press the RESET buttonon the REMOTE
The water will come back on IN ABOUT 20 SECONDS.

WHAT IS THE REMOTE CONTROL UNIT?
The remote control switch is a convenient way of controlling the mode/
functions of the Floodcheck valve. You ca easily Reset the units after and
event ,Turn the water on or o, or even bypass the unit electronically for
one hour

THE BYEPASS FUNCTION
What if I want running water for more than 30mins?
The continuous ow time limit can be adjusted between 10 and 40
minutes.
The factory setting is 15 minutes which suits most people..Refer
to your manual for how to alter this. For temporary longer periods
use the BYPASS FUNCTION.
The Remote Switch is an accessory for the Auto Kit. It allows you
to turn the water on or o, or bypass it electronically for 1 hour or
vacate, at the push of a button ,from a convenient location.
With the remote you can also use the BYPASS function to switch
o the monitoring for 1 hour. During this time you can use as much
water as you want. After this time it will revert to normal standard
monitoring.

WHAT IS THE” VALVE”?
The Valve is the unit that is tted on to the pipe just after the
main stop cock. The stop cock is the big tap / (valve) that you turn
the main water on or o that comes into the property from the
outside.
It may take a little time to get used to the Floodcheck and ad-
just it to suit your normal useage
Once installed and set to your needs, you should not need to do
anything with the valve at all..If you’ve been on holiday or not used
any water for a 24 hour period, you will need to push the RESET
button when you return to get the wa ter back on. You can do all
this from the REMOTE, which is much easier.
WHAT HAPPENS IN THE EVENT OF
A POWER CUT /FAILURE?
In the event of a power cut your water will remain in the mode it
was in before the power cut. For example if the water was on it will
remain on…if it was o it will remain o. When the power returns
the Floodcheck will carry on as normal protecting your property.
It is possible to use the small emergency battery kit available to
re- store the water in an emergency. See your manager or installer.
In case of diculty contact you installer or Maintenance Manager.

WHAT DO I DO IF MY WATER GOES OFF?
Action to restore the water. IN ALL CASES PUSH THE RESET
BUTTON ON THE REMOTE.WAIT FOR 20 SECONDS FOR WATER TO
RETURN.
There will be a reason why your water has gone o. If you look at
THE VALVE (not the remote ) small lights will come on to tell you the
reason it has shut down.
1. TIME OUT water been owing for too long continuously.
2. EXCESS FLOW. You have exceeded the MAXIMUM WATER
FLOW SETTING
3. The pipes are about to freeze.
4. You have not used any water for a 24 hour period. VACATION
1. TIME OUT .Try not to leave taps running too long. Use the by
pass on the remote if you need a temporary longer period. If
need be adjust (turn up) the TIME OUT setting. SEE PICTURE
BELOW. USE THE SPECIAL TRIMMING TOOL PROVIDED.
2. EXCESS FLOW. This will turn your WATER OFF if the Excess
Flow Setting has not been adjusted correctly. Try not having the
taps on fully or adjusting the EXCESS FLOW on the valve. See
picture below.

NOTE.Turning the taps o and on again will give you another time out period.
