6050H Setting the Hard Cut-Out

Checking the controller CTO
Before we set the Internal
Hard Cut-Out, we must first
see what the Hard Cut-Out
(CTO) is set to.
1 Press the “SET” and “EXIT”
keys together to enter into the
Secondary Menu. The heater
duty cycle will be displayed.
From Here, press the “SET”
key until “PrObE”is displayed.
2 Press “UP” key until “CAL” is
displayed.

Press “SET” key 5 times until
“CtO”is displayed.
4 5 Press “SET” key once until
“CtO = 565”is displayed. 6 The CtO should be set to
565⁰C ±5⁰C.
If this set to 565⁰C, No action
is required.
If this is not set to 565⁰C,
continue on to the next page
to see how to adjust the trim
potentiometer.

1 Turn OFF the power switch.
Unplug the unit from the wall. 2 Remove the back panel of the electronics tower. 3 Locate the potentiometer on the analog board.

4 The potentiometer is next to
the transformer on the analog
board. It is labeled VR1.
5 Plug the Power back in and
turn ON the power.

LIVE VOLTAGE.
6 Return to the CtO= display.

7 Return to the analog board
and the potentiometer, VR1.
Using a small flat head
screwdriver, turn the screw.
Clockwise will decrease the
Cut-Out value and counter-
clockwise will increase the
Cut-Out value.
8 On the display you will notice
that the CtO= will change.
Adjust the VR1 until the CtO
is set to 565⁰C ±5⁰C.
9 Once the CTO is adjusted,
turn the power OFF and
unplug the 6050H.
Place the electronics tower
cover back on the 6050H.
