ご使用の前にこの取扱説明書をよくお読み
の上、正しくご使用下さい。

that you can correctly use it.
1. ハウジング
材質：水目桜
日本特産、樺 ( カバノキ ) の一品種。肌目
が緻密で堅く、表面が美しく仕上がること
から家具の製造などに適した高級木材を使
用。TH900mk2 専用に熟練職人が手作業
にて加工しています。
仕上げ：漆ボルドー仕上げ
表面の仕上げは、創業 1900 年 ( 明治 33 年 )
で日本の伝統工芸を今日の工業製品に活か
す｢株式会社 坂本乙造商店｣が独自に開発
した漆工芸で行われます。使われている漆
は、ベースとなる黒漆と箔貼用の接着漆。
格調高い奥行き感を表現するために硫黄で
いぶした何種類もの色銀箔をちぎり絵の様
に貼りこんでいます。FOSTEX LOGO はプ
ラチナ箔貼り。
2. ヘッドホン・ケーブル
TH900mk2 専用に開発された 7N-OFC 使用
のケーブルを採用することで、低音域を豊
かに延ばしました。プラグ・スリーブには
ジュラルミンを採用し、耐久性を高めてい
ます。また、着脱式コネクタ端子とヘッド
ホン本体側着脱部接点端子には、硬度が高
く耐摩耗性、耐食性に優れたロジウムメッ
キ処理を施しています。
1. Housing
Material: Betula grossa (Known as Japanese
Cherry Birch) - The tree is Japanese specialty
and its texture is rigid and dense. It is prized as
a fine wood for furniture production.
Finish: Bordeaux -The TH900mk2 housings
are processed with the unique lacquer tech-
niques developed by a group of artisans whose
name is Sakamoto Urushi Manufacturing Co.,
Ltd., founded in 1900. The housings use the
traditional art of urushi lacquer (known as Japa-
nese traditional craft). This exclusive lacquer
finish not only gives the headphone housings
an elegant and sophisticated visual aspect, but
also it improves the housings’ durability. The
process requires various meticulous steps.
Many different types of sulfur smoked silver
foils are adhered on a black-lacquered base,
like creating a torn paper collage, and then
finished with a rich Bordeaux-wine color paint
as the overcoat. Platinum leaves are used for
the Fostex brand logos.
2. Headphone Cables
Thick 7N-OFC cables are exclusively manufac-
tured for the TH900mk2 that enhances low
frequency reproduction. The plug case is made
of duralumin that promises high durability. A
highly hard, wear-resistant and corrosive-resis-
tant rhodium plating is applied at the removable
connector terminal as well as the main unit
removable section contact terminal.

4. ドライバー・ユニット
磁気回路：ネオジム・マグネットによる反
発磁界を使用することで、低歪率、高感度、
高ダイナミックレンジを実現しました。
振動板：弊社独自開発のバイオ・セルロー
ス技術による「バイオダイナ」を採用する
事で、豊かな超低域、素直な中域、そして、
特にプレゼンスに優れた高音域を再生しま
す。
3. Ear Pads
The TH900mk2 uses low resilient cushion with
protein leather made from Eggshell membrane.
This highly comfortable ear pads have success-
fully achieved a weight reduction of approx.
60% compared to genuine leather.
4. Headphone Drivers
Magnetic Circuit: Magnetic repulsion
system using neodymium magnet - The mag-
netic repulsion system gives the TH900mk2
high sensitivity with wide dynamic range.
Diaphragm: BIODYNA for headphone
application by using bio-technology - BIO-
DYNA is made by Bio-cellulose and high per-
formance inorganic fiber admixture. As a
result, it achieves the high quality sound main-
taining good balance within the all frequency
bands. It also gives advantage of sound resolu-
tion at high frequency.
着脱式ヘッドホンケーブル接続時のご注意
Caution when connecting a removable type headphone cable
ケーブルには L チャンネルと R チャンネルの区別があります。L 側と R 側を挿し間違えな
いようご注意ください。また、2P コネクタは異なる太さのピンを使用しいていますので、
正しい方向（ケーブルの “L” 表示と本体側の “L” 表示、ケーブルの “R” 表示と本体側の
“R” 表示を合わせる）に接続して下さい。
The cable has a distinction of L channel and R channel. Ensure to insert the correct plug to corre-
sponding channel. The 2-pin connector has different thickness so that it only fits into the correct
polarity (inserting the “L” marked cable in the “L” marked body and “R” marked cable in the “R”
marked body).

＊ ハウジングは木製であるため、金属などに比
べると壊れやすい性質を持ちます。
＊ 衝撃や高温多湿の環境などにさらさないよ
う、ご注意ください。
＊ ハウジングは一つ一つ職人が手作りで仕上げ
ます。よって、模様・色など細かい部分は、個々
で異なる事をご理解ご了承ください。
＊ この製品の規格などは、改良のため将来予告
なしに変更することがあります。
＊ ヘッドホンをご使用になるときは、耳を刺激
しないよう長時間の使用を控え、適度な音量
でご使用下さい。
＊ 緊急時や環境への対応能力がかなり低下する
ため、車やオートバイ、自転車の運転中は、
絶対にヘッドホンをご使用にならないでくだ
さい。
＊ ご使用後、イヤパッドやヘッドパッドに付着
した汗、皮脂、整髪用品、ファンデーション
等を乾いた布で拭いて下さい。
＊ イヤパッドは消耗品です。日常の使用や長期
の保存により劣化しますので、適宜交換して
下さい。
* As the housings are made of wood, they are more
susceptive to mechanical shock.
* Please ensure to protect the headphones from any
physical impacts, high temperature and humidity.
* The housings are processed by the artisans piece
by piece. Please accept that the details of finish
such as color and print pattern are varied slightly.
* Design and specifications are subject to change
without notice.
* Avoid extended use at high volume levels as your
hearing may be permanently impaired.
* You are advised never to use headphones in
situations such as driving and cycling as your
ability to react to emergencies and your environ-
ment will be considerably reduced.
* Wipe off sweat, sebum, styling aid, foundation,
etc. attached to the ear pad / head pad with a dry
cloth.
* The ear pad is an expendable item. It will be dete-
riorated by daily use and / or a long period of
storage. Replace it with a new one at a suitable
moment.

機器本体に直接水がかかる場所では使用
しないで下さい。火災・感電の原因とな
ります。特に屋外での使用（雨天、降雪
時、海岸、水辺）にはご注意ください。
万一機器内部に水や異物などが入った場
合には、すぐに本製品に接続しているア
ンプの電源スイッチを切り、必ず電源プ
ラグをコンセントから抜いて下さい。
そのまま使用すると火災・感電の原因と
なります。
本機の分解・修理・改造は絶対にしない
で下さい。火災・感電やけがの原因とな
ります。
コードが傷んだ場合には、販売店または
当社まで修理を依頼して下さい。そのま
ま使用すると火災・感電の原因となりま
す。
自転車に乗りながら、または自動車・オー
トバイなどの運転中は、絶対にヘッドホ
ンを使用しないで下さい。交通違反であ
り、交通事故の原因となります。
歩行中にヘッドホンを使用する場合は、
周囲の交通に十分注意して下さい。
交通事故などの原因となります。
窓を閉め切った自動車の中や直射日光が
当たるところなど、異常に温度の高いと
ころには置かないで下さい（カー用品は
除く）。そのまま使用すると火災・故障
の原因となることがあります。
本機を他のオーディオ機器に接続する場
合、接続する機器の取扱説明書をよく読
み、必ず電源を切って説明にしたがって
接続して下さい。また、接続するコード
は指定されたコードを使用して下さい。
