P650K
Owner’s Manual
Thank you for purchasing P650K.
Read through this manual so that you can correctly use it.
The P650K is a suitable full range speaker driver especially for
first time craft users. A light-weight cone paper and a high-loss
rubber surrounding realize a bright and clear mid-to-high range
and reasonably damped low range reproduction. You can enjoy an
excellent stereo image and sound field achieved by the small-di-
ameter speaker unit.
* Banana pulp blended light-weight cone paper / High-loss
foamed rubber surrounding
Blending a banana pulp with two wooden pulps holding differ-
ent physicality realizes a sufficient stiffness and high-loss. A
high-loss foamed surrounding with an up-roll shape is
employed.
* Mechanical 2-way center cap
The same material as the cone paper is employed on the center
cap for improving the sound unification. A mechanical 2-way
structure which directly connects the center cap with the voice
coil bobbin extends a high range sound reproduction further.
The baffle hole should be shaped according to board thickness as
shown in the drawings below. If you solder the cable directly to
the speaker terminal, shape the hole as in the right side drawing
with φ58 hole.

Terminal escape cut
For the easy start, we recommend a combination with a P650-E
enclosure kit. The P650-E is designed for the P650K that can
easily achieve the enticing full range speaker system. The
P650-E comes with the speaker terminals, internal wirings and
sound absorbent pre-fitted and acoustically tuned. Please use the
P650-E taking advantage of easy mount.
To enhance the low frequency more than P650-E, we recommend
the use of P1000-E. As the internal volume is larger, you can feel
low frequency more. In this case, since P650K cannot be mounted
directly, prepare the baffle board as shown in the drawing on the
right. The board material is MDF with t9 thickness, the baffle hole
is 60mm diameter. As the screw position is made as φ116, you
can easily replace the speaker driver with P1000K.
