5. Application
AQUALINE-Therm stainless steel shower panel for surface installation. With DN 15
self-closing thermostat battery for connection to hot and cold water supply.
With device for optional bypass solenoid valve cartridge for thermal disinfection.
Adjustable flow time.
With an anti-vandalism temperature selector with integrated overturning protection
and the option to carry out manual thermal disinfection.

bypass solenoid valve cartridge.

Warning!
Only operate the fitting with non-return valves and the specified filters.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in an increased germ load in the
drinking water and thus pose a health or mortality risk.
☞Important!
Prior to the assembly process, flush the pipework in accordance with DIN 1988.
☞To protect the tiles, use masking tape when marking and drilling. Drill at low speed.
☞Depending on the composition of the wall, special wall plugs may have to be used
(to be provided by the customer).

11.1 Only for water connection from the rear: Install the connection brackets (a) leak-tight.
11.2 Screw in the water volume regulators (b) leak-tight.
11.3 Align the water volume regulators so that the locking screw and operating element
are freely accessible.
11.4 For a shower head height of 2.10 m to 2.30 m, mark drill holes for installation at a
height (c) of 2.14 m to 2.34 m from the top of the finished floor.
11.5 Drill holes in accordance with these markings.
11.6 Insert the wall plugs.
11.7 Screw on the suspension rail.
11.8 Suspend the shower panel.
11.9 Mark the remaining drill holes.
11.10 Remove the shower panel.
11.11 Drill holes in accordance with these markings.
Insert the wall plugs.
11.12 Remove the protective film from the shower panel.
11.13 Seal the shower panel (e.g. with Chromol, not part of the scope of delivery,
see Accessories, Chapter 25).
11.14 Only for water connection from the rear: Prioritise work steps 11.16 to 11.18.
11.15 Mount the shower panel on the suspension rail and screw tight.
11.16 Establish the water connections.
11.17 Open the water volume regulators using an Allen key.

12. Function
Trigger the flow of water
12.1 Press the pressure cap.
• The water will flow.
• The water flow stops automatically once the preset flow time has expired.
☞The flow time is adjustable from 1 - 50 seconds.
Temperature selection
13. Adjusting the flow time
13.1 Set the desired temperature of the mixed water.
13.2 Remove the cover platelet.
13.3 Use a screwdriver to set the flow time.
+ longer flow time (max. 50 s)
– shorter flow time (min. 1 s)
13.4 Trigger the fitting to measure the flow time.
13.5 Once the desired flow time has been set, put the cover plate place.
14. Thermal disinfection -manual-
This shower fitting offers thermal disinfection to reduce the risk of a legionella
infection.
The thermal disinfection process is triggered by overturning the thermostat.
Warning!
Personal protective measures (scald protection) must be implemented for the
duration of the thermal disinfection. This might include cordoning off the shower
facilities.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in injuries due to scalding.
The operator is responsible for the execution, monitoring, and logging (room,
tapping point, date, time, temperature and duration).
The manufacturer does not accept any liability for claims by third parties relating to
the improper execution of thermal disinfection on the part of the operator.
The thermostat fitting has been prepared to carry out a thermal disinfection process
when the thermostat is overturned. The thermostat fitting can be manually thermally
disinfected (flushed with water at a temperature of 70°C) by unlocking the covered
stop on the temperature selector.

14.1 A shower pipe (e.g. HT pipe, di= 100 mm) should be placed under the shower head
to deflect the hot water to avoid scalding during the thermal disinfection process.
14.2 Turn the temperature selector (a) to the hot water stop.
14.3 Use the Allen key to push in the stop.
14.4 Turn the temperature selector (a) in an anti-clockwise direction up to the stop.
14.5 Trigger the fitting.
14.6 Measure the hot water temperature.
14.7 If the hot water temperature is > 70°C, the fitting should be flushed for at least 3
minutes. Trigger the fitting several times for this purpose.
☞The thermal disinfection process must be recorded (room, tapping point, date, time,
temperature, duration).
14.8 Turn the temperature selector (a) clockwise until it engages.
Caution!
The temperature selector (a) may not be turned beyond the stop in an anti-
clockwise direction.
14.9 Test the limit stop.
14.10 Trigger the fitting to drain the remaining hot water.
14.11 Measure the water temperature. The maximum water temperature may not exceed
40°C (see Chapter 16.).
☞Once thermal disinfection has been completed, the scald protector does not need to
be reset.

Caution!
The directions in the Thermal Disinfection Planning Aid (01805618) must be
adhered to.

16. Setting the scald protector
Warning!
If the hot water supply temperature is above 45°C, the scald protector should be set.
Failure to observe this instruction can result in injuries due to scalding.
☞The scald protector (hot water stop) has been set to 38°C at the factory. Set the
system-specific parameters before use.
16.1 Remove the cover platelet (d).
16.2 Release the screw (c) with its disk.
16.3 Remove the temperature selector (b).
16.4 Remove the stop ring (a).
16.5 Trigger the fitting.
16.6 The temperature is freely selectable:
Set the maximum water temperature on the adjustment nut (e), e.g. to 40 °C.
16.7 Mount the stop ring (a) in such a way that the marking (h) of the stop ring points to
the outer edge of the red marking (g) of the rosette (f).
☞Important!
Mount the temperature selector (a) in such a way that the stop is flush against the
stop ring crosspiece.
16.8 Slide the temperature selector (a) onto the stop ring (b).
16.9 Attach the temperature selector (b) and its screw (c) and disk to the fitting.
tightening torque: 1 Nm
16.10 Fit the cover platelet (d).

17. Maintenance and care
The fitting must be checked and maintained at regular intervals, depending on the
water quality and in accordance with the local conditions and rules and regulations
applicable at the site.
Maintain the following components:
• Shower head (see Chapter 18.)
• Filters (see Chapter 19.)
• Non-return valve (see Chapter 22.)
Use suitable cleaning agents which do not attack the fitting in a proper manner and
rinse with water after use. High-pressure cleaners must not be used for cleaning.
Removing the shower panel
For some maintenance tasks, the shower panel must be removed.
Caution!
Do not allow the shower panel to hang by the connecting hoses.
Water connection from above:
17.1 Close the water volume regulators.

17.2 Trigger the fitting.
17.3 Disconnect the water supply.
17.4 Release the screws on the shower panel.
17.5 Unhook the shower panel.
Water connection from rear:
17.6 Release the screws on the shower panel.
17.7 Unhook the shower panel.
17.8 Close the water volume regulators (see Work step 17.1).
17.9 Trigger the fitting.
17.10 Disconnect the water supply.
18. Cleaning the shower head faceplate
18.1 Release the screw using an Allen key.
18.2 With a screwdriver, carefully lever out the spray faceplate.
18.3 Clean the shower head faceplate.
18.4 Reassemble in reverse order.
