2. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
2.1 Intended use
The LASSE children’s therapeutic bed is designed for home use and care at home.
For medical specialists, services may be performed such as the relief, treatment and monitoring of
illness and injury by facilitating positioning.
The individual adjustment options increase its number of uses. Electrical, medical applications are
not permitted for safety reasons, as this is not a hospital bed.
It is only approved for one person and the safe working load (see type plate) must not be exceeded.
The attachment of a trapeze bar is not provided.
When using the LASSE children’s therapeutic bed, only the “ARNOLD” and “JAMES” patient hoists by
REBOTEC, D-49610 Quakenbrück must be used. The bed should only be used within enclosed spaces
and protected from excessive moisture. Use of the various adjustment functions can be carried out
by the user by means of an IPX4 manual control unit with closure.
2.2 Important information on operational safety
I. Set up and initial operation are performed by the sales agent. Before the handover, a functional
check must be carried out.
The free movement of all functions, the routing of the supply cable according to specification, as
well as the fixed mounting of the bed base in the bed frame must all be observed.
This also applies to any further operation of the children’s therapeutic bed.
Incorrect routing of the supply cable can lead to serious hazards (electrocution).
II. The patient can weigh up to a maximum of 50kg. Persons of any age with diminished perception
may operate the system only under supervision.
III. The lowest, horizontal position of the bed frame is the safest and the bed should remain in this
position when an alternative is not required for therapy and care.
Always lower the lifting unit to the lowest position.
IV. During the adjustment of the lifting unit do not bring body parts
near or under the moving parts.
There is a RISK OF CRUSHING.
V. The LASSE children’s therapeutic bed is intended only for rooms that are dry and may only be
operated and stored in such.
The system may only be connected to standard 230-volt sockets, the cable and plug must be dry and
must not be rubbing against anything or squashed at any point.
Make sure that all cables are routed and connected correctly at the points provided.
VI. In order to prevent overloads or defects to the electric motors, a maximum
duty cycle of 2 minutes must not be exceeded.
Electromotive bed base setting only for lifting and lowering of the lift and lowering the upper body
or legs (consider the position of the patient in the bed).
Overloading causes damage and is not permitted!
Overloading the mechanical components causes damage and is therefore not permitted.

VII. In case of misuse, improper use, incorrect operation or improper installation/repair, we assume no
liability for possible damages.
All warranties are also excluded in these cases.
