differenttonesfromcleantodirtyandeverything
inbetween.Thereisno“wrong”settingtrythe
EQsettingssuggestedforCh2butplaywiththe
GainandMastercontrols.Eg:startwithalower
gainandturntheMasterup,thenturntheGain
upandMasterdown.Thereisnowrongsetting.
ForChannel2werecommendstartingwiththe
Basson8,themidsataround6or7andthetreble
at5.Setthegainaround8andthenbringthe
mastertotaste.Afterpluggingin,youwillnotice
instantly,thetightbottomendandrich
harmonicallydetailedchordsandsinglenotes,
that’stheFriedmansound.Thisampcleansup
remarkablywellwiththeguitar’svolumecontrol
evenwiththeamponhighergainsettings.

7.WallorCeilingMounting
–Theproductshouldneverbemountedtoawall
orceiling.
8.Heat–Amplifiershouldbesituatedawayfrom
heatsourcessuchasradiators,heatregisters,
stoves,orotheramplifier(includingamplifiers)
thatproduceheat.
9.PowerSources–Thisproductshouldbe
operatedonlyfromthetypeofpowersource

10.GroundingorPolarization
–Thisproductmaybeequippedwithapolarized
alternationͲcurrentlineplug(aplughavingone
bladewiderthantheother).Thisplugwillfitinto
thepoweroutletonlyoneway.Thisisasafety
feature.Ifyouareunabletoinserttheplugfully
intotheoutlet,tryreversingtheplug.Iftheplug
shouldstillfailtofit,contactyourelectricianto
replaceyourobsoleteoutlet.Donotdefeatthe
safetypurposeofthepolarizedplug.
11.PowerͲCordProtection
–PowerͲsupplycordsshouldberoutedsothat
theyarenotlikelytobewalkedonorpinchedby
itemsplaceduponoragainstthem,paying
particularattentiontothecordincorrespondence
ofplugs,conveniencereceptacles,andthepoint
wheretheyexitfromtheamplifier.
12.Cleaning–Theamplifiershouldbecleaned
onlyasrecommendedbythemanufacturer.Clean
bywipingwithaclothslightlydampwithwater.
Avoidgettingwaterinsidetheamplifier.

14.NonͲusePeriods–Thepowercordofthe
amplifiershouldbeunpluggedfromtheoutlet
whenleftunusedforalongperiodoftime.
15.ObjectandLiquidEntry
–Careshouldbetakensothatobjectsdonotfall
andliquidsarenotspilledintotheenclosure

areprovidedforventilationandtoensurereliable
operationoftheproductandtoprotectitfrom
overheating,andtheseopeningsmustnotbe
blockedorcovered.Theopeningsshouldneverbe
blockedbyplacingtheproductonabed,sofa,rug,

19.Attachments–donotuseattachmentsnot

oradult,andseriousdamagetotheproduct.Use
onlywithacart,stand,tripod,bracket,ortable

21.Lightning–Foraddedprotectionforthis
productbeforealightningstorm,orwhenitisleft
unattendedandunusedforlongperiodsoftime,
unplugitfromthewalloutlet.Thiswillprevent

24.FUSES–Alwaysusethecorrectratingandtype
offuseasindicatedontherearpanel.Notethe
properratingfuseisdeterminedbytheACline
voltageinthecountrythisunitisbeingoperated.
25.ACSELECTSWITCH:Thisswitchmustbesetto
matchtheAClinevoltageinthecountrythisunit
isbeingoperated.
Tochangethesetting,loosen(donotremove)the
twoscrewsaboveandbelowtheslideswitch.
Temporarilymovetheprotectivecoverstripand
slidetheactuatortomatchthevoltageinyour
country.Placetheprotectivecoverstripbackover
theswitchandtightenthetwoscrews.

POWERSWITCH:TurnthisONtopowerthe
SmallBox.LeaveampinSTANDBYMODEfor
about1minute.
STANDBYSWITCH:LeavethisinStandbymode
forabout1minuteformaximumtubelife,
switchtoplaymodewhenyouarereadyto
usetheamp.PlacebackinStandbymode
whenyouarebetweensetsorwhenyouneed
