Setting Oven Controls
MANUALLY OPERATED OVEN COOKING:
To Set the Preheat Temperature (some models)
Use the preheat function for regular baking as recommended in the recipe. The preheat function reduces preheating time.
To Set the Oven Using the Preheat Function for Normal Baking:
1. PushPREHEAT."— — —°"and the word"BAKE" will glowin the display. Proceedto the nextoperation within 5seconds.
2. PushtheUP orDOWNARROW. "350°F"willappearinthedisplay. Use the UP or DOWN ARROW toincreaseordecrease
the bake temperature in increments of 5°F. After 5 seconds, "PrE", "BAKE" and "ON" will appear in the display. The oven
willbeginheatingto the selectedtemperature. Whentheovenheats up tothistemperature,abeep sounds toindicatethat
preheatingiscompleted. Thetimerautomaticallygoesontothebakingmode. Youcannowplacefoodintheovenforbaking.
To change the temperature after preheat has begun, repeat steps 1 and 2.
To cancel the preheat function, push PREHEAT, or if you want to cancel the whole program, push CANCEL.
To Set or Change the Temperature for Normal Baking
The oven can be programmed to bake at any temperature from 170°F to 550°F.
1. Push BAKE. "— — —°" and the word "BAKE" will flash in the display.
2. Push the UP or DOWN ARROW. The display will show "350°F". By holding the UP or DOWN ARROW, the temperature
can then be adjusted in 5°F increments.
3. As soon as the UP or DOWN ARROW is released, the oven will begin heating. The display will show the actual oven
temperature as it increases to the desired setting. If preheating is necessary, wait the selected temperature is shown in the
display.
4. To cancel the baking function, push CANCEL.
To change the temperature after normal baking/roasting has begun, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
To Set or Change Temperature for Convection Baking /Roasting (some models)
1. Push CONV. "— — —°" and word "CONV." will flash in the display.
2. Push and hold the UP or DOWN ARROW until the desired baking temperature appears in the display.
3. As soon as the UP or DOWN ARROW is released, the oven will begin heating and the fan inside the oven will turn on. The
fan shuts off when the oven door is opened.
4. To cancel the convection baking/roasting function, push CANCEL.
To change the temperature after convection baking/roasting has begun, repeat steps 1 and 2 above.
Usecautionwhenusingtheautomatictimer.Usetheautomatictimerwhencookingcuredorfrozenmeatsand
most fruits and vegetables. Foods that can easily spoil such as milk, eggs, fish, meat or poultry, should be chilled in the
refrigeratorfirst. Evenwhenchilled,theyshouldnotstandintheovenformorethan1hourbeforecookingbegins,andshould
be removed promptly when cooking is completed.
