DISCLAIMER
Fronteriors doors, drawer fronts, side panels, plinth, accessories
and hardware are meant to be installed by qualied individuals.
Recommendaons in this manual are provided for informaonal
purposes only. Fronteriors can guarantee the ecacy of the
instrucon provided in this manual, as unforeseen variables - such
as exisng wall, ceiling and ooring condions, integrated custom
elements, and alternave designs - may render some suggesons
not applicable.
For quesons concerning IKEA products, specicaons or
ulizaons, please contact IKEA or refer to manuals provided by
IKEA.

IKEA should install their plinths with the frames – our plinths will be
applied over them.
IKEA legs should be xed at 8cm height – if not, our side panels may
not t correctly.
Similarly, where base cabinets are installed back-to-back to create an
island, the spacers along the back of the frame should not be installed
facing one another at the same height from the boom of the cabinet.
This will increase the spacing between the frames and may cause side
panels to not t correctly. Do not install back-to-back frames without
spacers – this may result in side panels not ng.

Ideally, there should be no oor skirng in place wherever base
cabinets will be installed against a wall. If skirngs are there, they
should be less than 8cm. If the frame legs are adjusted to t over
skirngs, side panels may not t correctly.
When appliances are installed in tall frames (eye-level oven, for
example), ensure that they are posioned in such a way that the doors
you have ordered for that frame will have sucient space above and
below the appliance.

SIDE PANEL
INSTALLATION

- PAGE 7 -
TOOLS & HARDWARE
YOU WILL NEED
2 x clamp, a manual or electric screw driver and a tape measure.
Our screw heads are Philips head 6mm and 8mm. Please make
sure your screw bits fits this size.
INCLUDED
Panels, 30mm screws
NOTE
All Fronteriors side panels are 18mm thick, and are made
specifically to fit the the IKEA cabinet frame you have
purchased with a waterfall effect that should reach the
floor - hence the importance of the 8cm leg height.

- PAGE 8 -
STEP ONE
Work with the panels one at a time. Align the side panels so
that the top, back and bottom edges align flush with the
IKEA frame and floor.

- PAGE 9 -
STEP TWO
Position the side panel to the frame and you will notice that our
side panel protrudes from the frame at the side where the doors
will be positioned, it should be 20mm in measure– this is correct
and ensures that once the doors are fixed, they will align flush
with the side panels.

- PAGE 10 -
STEP THREE
Use clamps to hold the side panel against the side of the
IKEA frame for proper installation. We recommend using a cloth
or applicable protection in between the clamp and the frame to
prevent panels from scratching.

- PAGE 11 -
STEP FOUR
Using the frame’s pre-made holes for shelves and following the
numbered holes in both thefront and back of the frame
as illustrated, screw in the 30mm screws from the inside
until the screws grip the side panel tightly. Use two screws along
the top area (front and back rows) and two along the bottom area.
