1. Restore Factory Settings
1.1 Networking Requirements
Need to clear the existing configuration of the device and restore the factory default settings.
1.2 Configuration Points
After restoring the factory settings, the original configuration will be cleared. If the configuration is more important, please backup the
configuration first;
If the router's WEB interface fails to log in, you need to use the console line to restore the factory through the command line;
After restoring the factory settings, the default IP of the 0/MGMT interface is 192.168.1.1, and the user name and password are both
admin;
1.3 Configuration Steps
1.3.1 Restore Factory Settings by Command Line
Log in to the device command line through telnet or hyper terminal.
In SG-5110# mode, enter the command delete flash:config.text, and when prompted to confirm the deletion of the file, enter Y to confirm.

After deleting the configuration file, in the SG-5110# mode, enter the reload command to confirm the restart, enter Y, after the device
restarts, restore to the factory settings.

1.4 Configuration Verification
After restoring the factory settings, configure a computer with an IP of 192.168.1.10 and a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0 and a gateway of
192.168.1.1. Connect this computer to the device's 0/MGMT port;
Open the computer to run, enter cmd, enter ping 192.168.1.1 in the pop-up window to see if it can be pinged, if it can be pinged, the
recovery is successful;
C:\Users\FS>ping 192.168.1.1
Ping 192.168.1.1 has 32 bytes of data:

2. Password Recovery
*Notes on password recovery
When doing password recovery, please prepare the console line first.
Password recovery needs to restart the device, which will cause network disconnection. Please perform password recovery when it
is convenient to disconnect the network;
If the administrator himself has forgotten the web management password of the gateway device and cannot log in through the
web, then he can enter the CTRL layer through the configuration line for password recovery, and the previous configuration
information can be retained;

2.2.1 Connect the Console Port of the Device with a Configuration Cable

After the device restarts, enter enable to enter the global mode, and modify the privileged password and WEB administrator password in
the device configuration mode as follows:
Configure a new WEB password
SG-5110>enable
SG-5110#config t
SG-5110(config)# webmaster username admin password admin ---------The new username and password is admin
SG-5110(config)#exit
Configure the command line privileged password
SG-5110(config)# enable secret admin ----------Set the command line privilege password to admin
SG-5110#write ---------Save configuration
When VPN and WEB authentication is enabled, the console interface will also perform user authentication. You need to modify the
password for user authentication. Otherwise, the console interface cannot be logged in after exiting. You need to reconfigure the telnet
password on the WEB interface to solve or configure the telnet user and password in the command.
SG-5110(config)#username admin password admin
NOTE: After entering the system, do not exit before changing the password; otherwise, enter the original password again;
2.3 Configuration Verification
Login with a new user name and password to confirm successful login.
