Turn
on
the
DynaMO
640SE
(green
power
indicator
light
will
be
lit).
Turn
on
computer
and
close
all
applications.

Insert
the
DynaMO
CD
into
your
CD-ROM
drive,
and
click
on
the
CD-ROM
icon.

Select
the
appropriate
folder
for
your
operating
system
and
click
on
“setup.exe”
to
install
the
software.
Follow
the
instructions
to
install
your
software.
Remove
the
CD
and
reboot
the
computer.
MacOS
Users.
The
DynaMO
CD
does
not
contain
Macintosh
device
drivers
or
a
Macintosh
MO
disk
formatter.
Please
refer
to
the
set-up
instructions
in
the
“Disk

Tune
Up”
packet.

a
variety
of
useful
applications
to
further
enhance
your
DynaMO

Formatting
your
MO
Disks
3
Removable
disks
are
formatted
differently
for
different
operating
systems.
The
MO
disk
included
in
this
package
is
not
formatted.
You
must
format
the
MO
disk
before
using.
Warning:
Formatting,
reformatting,
or
changing
partitions
on
a
MO
disk
will
erase
all
data
on
the
disk.
Back
up
data
if
necessary
before
proceeding.
Insert
a
MO
disk
into
the
DynaMO
640SE.
Run
the
MO
Formatter
(located
in
the
DynaMO
640
folder).
Select
the
MO
disk
in
the
“Select
a
Disk
Drive”
list.
Format
your
MO
disk
in
one
of
the
following
ways:

disk

You
also

option

performing
a
low
level
format.
This
type
of
format
scans
the
entire
MO
disk
to
optimize
disk
performance
and
takes
15
to
20
minutes.
Low
level
formatting
is
only
recommended
for
older,
heavily
used
MO
disks.
For

instructions
installed

Windows
NT
Users.
Formatting
instructions
for
NT3.51
and
NT4.0
are
slightly

MacOS
Users.
The
DynaMO
CD
does
not
contain
a
Mac
Formatter.
Please
refer

FORMATTING
MO
DISKS

Using
your
MO
Disks
BUSY
INDICATOR
EMERGENCY
EJECT
Inserting
a
MO
Disk
Gently
insert
the
MO
disk
with
the
label
side
up,
as
shown
above,
until
the
disk
clicks
into
place.
Never
force
the
disk
into
the
drive
or
insert
the
MO
disk
upside
down
as
this
may
damage
the
drive.
Ejecting
a
MO
Disk
MANUAL
EJECT
Click
the
removable
disk
icon
Press
the
eject
button
of
the
with
the
right
mouse
button
DynaMO
640SE.
and
select
“Eject”
from
the
pull-down
menu.
Drag
and
drop
the
MO
disk
drive
icon
into
the
trash
can.
Warning:
Never
eject
the
MO
disk
while
the
busy
indicator
light
is
on.
Damage
to,
or
loss
of,
data
may
result.
Emergency
Eject
If
the
MO
disk
cannot
be
ejected
as
described
above,
or
appears
to
be
jammed
in
the
drive,
the
disk
can
be
ejected
using
Emergency
Eject.
1.
Turn
off
the
DynaMO
640SE
and
wait
for
30
seconds
or
more
before
ejecting
the
MO
disk.
2.
Straighten
one
end
of
a
large
paper
clip.
3.
Insert
the
straightened
end
of
the
paper
clip
into
the
hole
just
below
the
shutter
door,
and
push
gently
but
firmly
until
the
MO
disk
is
ejected.
Since
a
floppy
disk
is
about
the
same
size
as
a
MO
disk,
be
careful
to
never
insert
a
floppy
disk
into
your
DynaMO.
Never
insert
foreign
objects
into
the
drive.

WRITE
ENABLE
a
WRITE
PROTECT
Write
protection
Your
MO
disk
has
Write
Protect
capability.
Enabling
the
write
protection
on
the
MO
disk
prevents
data
from
being
lost
or
altered
accidentally.
Move
switch
up
for
Write
Enable
or
down
for
Write
Protect.
Use
care
when
handling
your
MO
disk
as
dirt,
fingerprints,
and
moisture
may
degrade
the
disk
performance.
Cleaning
the
MO
disk
In
normal
office
environments,
cleaning
the
MO
disk
is
not
required.
In
some
cases,
however,
dust
may
build
up
on
the
surface
of
the
disk
and
cleaning
of
the
disk
may
be
required.
Please
contact
your
place
of
purchase
for
information
on
the
MO
disk
cleaning
kit.
Cleaning
your
DynaMO
640SE
In
normal
office
environments,
cleaning
your
DynaMO
drive
is
not
required.
In
some
cases,
however,
dust
may
build
up
on
the
objective
lens
of
the
drive
and
cleaning
may
be
necessary.
To
clean
the
objective
lens
you
will
need
an
optical
lens
cleaning
kit
(part
number
CA90002-
C980).
Please
contact
your

purchase
for
information
on
where
to
purchase
a
lens
cleaning
kit.

assigned
to
a
SCSI
device.
In
a
SCSI
chain
each
device
must
have
a
unique
SCSI
ID
number.
The
DynaMO
640SE
SCSI
ID
is
factory
set
to
2.
If
this
address
is
already
in
use,
turn
off
the
DynaMO,
adjust
the
SCSI
ID
selector,
and
reboot
the
computer.
Never
assign
your
drive
ID
6
or
7.
These
ID’s
are
usually
reserved
for
your
SCSI
host
adapter
and
hard
disk
drives.
Please
read
your
SCSI
host
adapter
user's
guide
for
confirmation.
Creating
a
SCSI
Chain
You
can
connect
a
series
of
SCSI
devices
to
form
a
chain
on
a
single
SCSI
host
adapter.
For
any
SCSI
chain,
the
total
length
of
all
the
cables
in
the
chain
should
not
exceed
6
meters
(19.6
feet.).
We
recommend
that
each
SCSI
cable
in
the
chain
does
not
exceed
1
meter
(3.3
feet).
