Fujitsu Lifebook A1110 Guide User manual

The A1110 is designed to deliver excellent performance and best-in-class reliability
at a very affordable price.
LifeBook®A1110 Notebook
BENEFITS
Easy to Own
There are two ways of approaching your note-
book investment. One is to purchase a low cost
unit, but the savings are generally eaten up by the
maintenance costs and the hassle of dealing with
a poorly constructed substandard notebook. On
the other hand, high-quality units may cost a little
more, but the maintenance costs are lower be-
cause the reliability is signicantly higher. What
if you could purchase a high-quality notebook at
a reasonable price? The best of both worlds just
became a reality with the affordable LifeBook®
A1110 notebook.
The old adage, “you get what you pay for”
certainly applies in the highly competitive world
of notebook computers. Now the upfront costs of
top quality notebooks just became less. Designed,
engineered, and manufactured in Japan (leader
in quality and reliability) the Fujitsu A1110 Life-
Book notebook provides you an easy way to cut
costs without cutting performance or reliability.
Performance
With its high-speed Intel®Core™ 2 Duo Pro-
cessor, the Fujitsu A1110 LifeBook notebook
provides all the computing power you will ever
need, even for the most demanding applications.
The Fujitsu A1110 LifeBook comes standard
with a Dual-Layer, Multi-format DVD writer.
The Dual-layer DVD-R or RW technology lets
you record up to 8.5 GB of data on a single disc.
This nearly doubles the standard DVD capacity
of 4.7 GB. In other words, a Dual-layer DVD-R/
RW disc will hold up to 4 hours of DVD quality
video or 16 hours of VHS quality video. Dual-
layer discs can also be read on DVD players that
were originally designed for single-layer discs.
Of course you can listen to your CDs and write to
CD-Rs as well.
Personalize your notebook
A variety of Color Lids are available for your
A1110 LifeBook notebook. They can protect your
computer from scratches while giving your note-
book a personalized look. A unique cover will
also make your notebook less of a target for theft.
Who would want to take a personal computer that
would be so easy to spot?
Flexible Connectivity
With both 56K modem and Ethernet LAN
built-in, you can easily connect to your ofce
network and the Internet at home or at work. For
wireless connectivity, the built-in Intel WiFi Link
5100 (802.11AGN) or Atheros XSPAN®BGN
(802.11BGN) wireless offers you a seamless and
exible way to stay in touch using transfer rates
as high as 108 Mbps. The webcam adds a fun
(and very useful) dimension to staying in touch
with family and friends. Bluetooth is also avail-
able on select congurations providing a way to
transmit stereo CD quality sound to Bluetooth
headphones or Bluetooth speakers.
Stable and Reliable
The LifeBook A1110 delivers all the key features
that have contributed to Fujitsu LifeBook note-
books being named some of the most reliable in
the industry. The new LifeBook A1110 notebook
also features a strong exterior, highly durable
hinges, and a spill-resistant keyboard. It also
comes with an easily accessible embedded dust
lter. This allows maximum airow to keep your
notebook running as cool as it looks.
In a time when most PCs are assembled by
third-party vendors, Fujitsu takes pride in its own
world-class design, rigorous testing, and manu-
facturing capabilities. Fujitsu provides extremely
high quality mobile computers with one of the
lowest failure rates in the industry.
