Multi-FG is an interface intended for controllers with RS485 connection and compatible protocol,
and it can be used with up to 32 instruments.
It enables viewing temperatures and controller status, changing the value of function parameters, and
sending commands. The instruments to be viewed may be changed automatically or manually.

6. FIRST STEPS
6.1 Electric connection and RS485 Network
After all connections are ready (sensors, relays, valve, and RS-485 networks) the configuration must be carried out with one controller at a time. To do this, power up only the first controller to be configured. When
has no instruments registered in the scan list the message [None] blinks on the main screen. Follow the next steps in this chapter to add the address of the controller in .Multi-FG Multi-FG

6.2 Entering the access code
Access the main menu by pressing the keys >and<, simultaneously. Menu [Code]will be displayed upon releasing the keys. Enter the code 123 to gain full access to the other menus.
6.3 Adding a new controller
Follow the steps below to add new network controllers:
1) With the access code previously entered (according to item 6.2), use the keys >or< to access the menu [ADD,] and then press /.
The value to be sent to the controller in its new address is shown in the display. Adjust the value using the keys>and< and press / to confirm.
- The message [done] is displayed if the address is successfully configured.
- The message [used] is displayed if the address is already on the list.
- The message [Ecnn] is displayed if there is an error in the connection.
NOTE: In case of connection error, check the terminals for correct connection and tightening and the wires for ruptures. Try the same command again after checking.

PRECAUTIONS WHEN INSTALLING THE PRODUCT:
Before performing any procedure on this instrument, disconnect it from the mains;
Ensure that the instrument has adequate ventilation and avoid installation in panels containing
devices that may cause it to operate outside the specified temperature limits;
Install the product away from sources that may generate electromagnetic disturbances such as:
motors, contactors, relays, solenoid valves, etc;

CHANGE THE INFORMATION CONTAINED IN THIS MANUAL AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE.

2)In the same menu, power up the second controller, select a new address, and then press/. Repeat this operation until all controllers in the network have addresses configured.
NOTE: The menu [Add,] has a 15-second time limit if no key is pressed. The message [----]is displayed after this time and returns to the temperature display.
3) After all addresses are configured, update the readings by pressing ; ,select the menu [Chng] and press /.
NOTE 1: If more than one address is added at each change, either manual or automatic (see item 11.1), the message [Addr] + number of the address to be viewed will be displayed.
NOTE 2: If you want to erase all records in the scan list, enter the code 717 in the menu [Code](see item 6.2).
7. ADVANCED CONFIGURATION
7.1 Searching instruments in the network
If a controller has an address other than 247, i.e. previously changed by itself or by Sitrad,
use this procedure to add to the list. This way the address will not be changed in the controller. Follow the
steps below:
Step 1: With the security code previously entered (according to item 6.2), hold down keys>and<
until the menu [sCan]is displayed.
Step 2: Power up the controller to be inserted on the list.
Step 3: Press/ and then will automatically search the network for addresses displaying
the numbers from [,001] to [,246].
Signaling:
NOTE: To clear the whole scan list, go to the main menu (according to item 6.2), select the menu
[code]and enter the code 717. will reboot with the scan list without registered
addresses.
7.2 Removing an instrument from the scan list
With the security code previously entered (according to item 6.2), hold down the keys >and< until
the menu [Del,]is displayed. Select the value of the address to be removed from the list and then
press /. The message [Done]will be displayed if the operation is successful.
The message [no,,]will be displayed if the address is not on the list.

8.2 Quick Access Keys Map
When controller is on temperature display mode, the following keys can be used as shortcuts for the
following functions:

10. ADJUSTING THE DESIRED TEMPERATURE
Access the main menu by pressing the keys >and<, simultaneously. The menus will be
displayed upon releasing the keys. It is also possible to access the main menu through the quick access
menu (see item 8.1).

[Add,] Program the instrument in the controller and add it to the list (sending a new address)

[Del,] Remove an instrument from the list
Hold down the key / for 2 seconds to enter the setpoint adjustment menu. The message [SP,,]
will be shown in the display and then the value to adjust the normal setpoint. Use the keys >or< to
change the value and press/to confirm. Then the message [SP-e] will be displayed to indicate the
economy setpoint adjustment. Use the keys >or<again to change the value and press/. to
confirm. Finally the indication [----] is signaled concluding the configuration. The setpoints may also
be adjusted individually in the quick access menu.

11.1 Description of the functions
C01- Instrument scan mode:
If more than one instrument is registered on the scan list, allows changing the instrument
view automatically at each interval defined in C02.
The views are displayed according to the instrument's address in ascending order.
NOTE: Even in the automatic mode the instrument may be changed manually by pressing ;to access
the menu [Chng], and then pressing/.
C02 - Maximum update time:
This function defined the reading update time according to the following configurations:
Only one instrument registered: The elapsed time updates the data reading.
More than one instrument registered and C01 in manual mode: The elapsed time updates only the
data reading of the instrument being viewed.
More than one instrument registered and C01 in automatic mode: The elapsed time changes the
instrument to the next on the list in ascending order with the data reading updated.
C03 - Time for functions lockdown:
For safety reasons the controller has a feature to allow locking functions. When this configuration is
active, the setpoint and other parameters are protected from undue changes. However, these can be
viewed. In this condition the message[LOC,]no display. will be displayed when trying to change those
values.
To lock functions you need first to adjust the parameter

“[,C03]- Time for functions lockdown” with a
value greater than 14 (below 15, [no,,]is displayed and it means that function lockdown is not
allowed). Using the key ;(quick touch) select the function lock function and then press/(quick
touch). After that, hold down the key>until [LOC,][On,,]is displayed.

To unlock, turn the controller off and then turn it on again with the key >pressed. Hold down the key
until the message [LOC,][OFF,] indicates the unlocking (10 seconds).

15.1 Ecase
It is recommended for the Evolution line, keeps water from entering the back part of the instrument. It also
protects the product when the installation site is washed.
15.2 Extended frame
It allows the installation of Evolution line controllers with sizes 76 x 34 x 77 mm in various situations,since it
does not require precision in the notch of the instrument fitting panel. The frame integrates two switches of
10 Amperes that may be used to actuate interior light, air curtain, fan, and others.

WARRANTY - FULL GAUGE CONTROLS
Products manufactured by Full Gauge Controls, as of May 2005, have a two (02) year
warranty, as of the date of the consigned sale, as stated on the invoice. They are guaranteed
against manufacturing defects that make them unsuitable or inadequate for their intended
use.
EXCEPTIONS TO WARRANTY
The Warranty does not cover expenses incurred for freight and/or insurance when sending
products with signs of defect or faulty functioning to an authorized provider of technical
support services. The following events are not covered either: natural wear and tear of parts;
external damage caused by falls or inadequate packaging of products.
LOSS OF WARRANTY
Products will automatically lose its warranty in the following cases:
- The instructions for assembly and use found in the technical description and installation
procedures in Standard IEC60364 are not obeyed;
- The product is submitted to conditions beyond the limits specified in its technical
description;
- The product is violated or repaired by any person not a member of the technical team of
Full Gauge Controls;
- Damage has been caused by a fall, blow and/or impact, infiltration of water, overload
and/or atmospheric discharge.
USE OF WARRANTY
To make use of the warranty, customers must send the properly packaged product to Full
Gauge Controls together with the invoice or receipt for the corresponding purchase. As much
information as possible in relation to the issue detected must be sent to facilitate analysis,
testing and execution of the service.
These procedures and any maintenance of the product may only be provided by Full
Gauge Controls Technical Support services in the company's headquarters at Rua Júlio de
Castilhos, 250 - CEP 92120-030 - Canoas - Rio Grande do Sul – Brasil
ENVIRONMENTAL INFORMATION
Packaging:
The materials used in Full Gauge products' packaging are 100% recyclable. Dispose of
your waste preferably using specialized recycling agents.
Product:
The components used in Full Gauge controllers can be recycled and reused if
disassembled by a specialized company.
Disposal:
Do not burn or throw controllers in domestic garbage. Obey the laws in effect for your
area regarding the disposal of electronic waste. If in doubt, please contact Full Gauge
Controls.
