BEFORE EXPLORING THE MITICO WORLD
PREFACE
This users’ anual presents all of the necessary infor ation for the correct use and efficient
aintenance of MITICO.
The ongoing research to i prove and update our production ay so eti es lead to changes;
therefore i ages and instructions of the present anual should not be considered strictly
binding.
For accessories or new MITICO products, which are not included in this users’ anual,
please refer to your local Mitico Dealer.
USE REMARK
In order to enable the child to perfor all activities safely, it is required that all postural
adjust ents are carried out by specialized personnel (physicians, physiotherapists,
occupational Therapists, etc.)
The following tate-of-the-art product have been te ted and comply the CE
93/42 norm
Note that incorrect use or underesti ated dangers can be the cause of da age and/or
accidents.
Fu agalli do not undertake any responsibility for accidents caused by any use which is not in
accordance with the instructions.

In case of second-hand MITICO postural syste s, Fu agalli do not undertake any
responsibility for possible changes or unauthorized parts’ replace ents; if you do not have the
users’ anual, please get in touch with your dealer or directly with Fu agalli.
We kindly ask you to check that your new goods in packages are not da aged by ship ent. In
this case, get in touch as soon as possible with your Fu agalli dealer.
TARGET
This product has been developed for children who need a odular postural syste to be used
both indoors and outdoors.
MAINTENANCE
The device does not require a specific aintenance progra , however, for a long lasting
product, we suggest a yearly check up of all obile echanical parts (joints, brakes, wheels,
couplings, etc) . These parts have to be carefully lubricated with spray grease.
Clean with a da p cloth or ild detergent . Do not use nitrocellulose or polyurethane
solvents.

SEATING UNIT “POSTURA”
Postural seating unit seat & back
It is made up of :
Height adjustable and inclinable backrest;
Depth and width adjustable seat;
Armrest movement synchronized with backrest, adjustable in height
and angle;
One adaptor suitable for all Mitico frames;
Padding made up of removable and machine washable cover;
Various accessories available to satisfy all needs.
The seating unit is standard assembled with proper adjustments, in order to get
the smallest volume for shipment. Before using Mitico, ensure that you have
carried out your own further adjustments for the individual user.
Fitting on frames (pict. A2)
The adaptor under the seating unit is the same for each Mitico frame; therefore
the seating unit can interface all frames.
Have the two plates join. (i.e. seat pan, and interface plate)
Lay sliding surface A of the seating unit on adaptor B of the frame and let it
slide up until pin C clicks into place. Fix the seating unit by tightening the wing
screw D on the rear side.

Frames removal (pict. A2)
Loose the wing screw D and pull knob C downwards; push the seat forwards.
BACKREST
Recline adjustment (pict. A3)
To recline the backrest, loose lever L; find the seat to back angle required, then
screw it to fix the backrest angle.
You can pull the lever out slightly, and move it without changing the tension on
the screw, so that it can be tightly secured and moved into a safe position.
Length adjustment (pict. A4)
Remove the padding and the cushion from the backrest.
Take off the side bolts O and place the extension at the requested height in the
right hole. Insert and tighten the bolts. Re-attach the cushion and the padding.

ATTENTION
Do not carry out the above steps when the child is sitting.
Do not use the armrests to displace the seating unit, as
they can detach
Before all fitting operations, do not forget to brake all the
wheels!

SEATING
Depth adjustment (pict. A4)
Remove all padding. Loose the bolts P and place the seat
extension as required. Replace and tighten the bolts.
Width adjustment (pict. A4)
The gap between the two padded side supports is adjustable
(also asymmetrically). Green disks M between the side support
and the steel shell can be easily added and removed. Each disk
is 10mm thick.
Unscrew bolts Q and R, insert or take off the disks and
reassemble the part by choosing a suitable bolt for the desired
shell-side support distance. It is necessary to remove the
padding from backrest to carry out these operations. Screws in
different lengths are to be found standard in the packing and
must be used if width adjustments are required.
Once the new width is achieved, refit all of the padding.

ATTENTION (pict A4)
Do not tighten too much bolts Q, to avoid
difficult armrests adjustments.
