SAFETY INFORMATION
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should
always be followed, including the following:
•IMPORTANT: Read all instructionsand warnings carefullybefore starting
installation. Failure to follow these instructions may result in a possible
electric shock or fire hazard and will void the warranty.
•Before connecting the appliance,be sure that the mains voltage available
matches that specified on the rating plate and that the outlet is suitably
grounded.
•This appliancecan be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of
experienceandknowledgeiftheyhavebeengivensupervisionorinstruction
concerning useofthe appliancein a safeway and understandthe hazards
involved.
•Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years shall only switch on/off
the applianceprovided that it has been placed or installed in its intended
normal operating position and they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved. Children aged from 3 years and less than 8 years
shall not plug in, regulate, or clean the appliance or perform user
maintenance.
•Children under 3 years should be kept away unless continuously
supervised.
•Somepartsofthisproductcanbecomeveryhotandcauseburns. Particular
attentionhasto begivenwherechildrenandvulnerablepeoplearepresent.
•If the supply cord is damaged,it must be replaced by the manufacturer,its
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
•WARNING: In order to avoid overheating, do not cover the heater.
•The heater must not be located immediately below a socket outlet.
•CAUTION:Inorderto avoida hazarddueto the inadvertentresettingofthe
thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be supplied through an external
switchingdevice,suchas a timer, or connected toa circuit thatis regularly
switched on and off by the user or utility.
•Do not attempt to repair, disassemble or modify the appliance. This unit
contains no user-serviceable parts.
•Always unplug or disconnect the appliancefrom the mains power supply
whennotinuse,orwhenmovingorcleaningit.Donotpullthecordtounplug
the heater.
•Keep the heater clean. Do not allow any object to enter the ventilation or
exhaustopening as this may cause electric shock,fire, or damage to the
heater.
•Do not use the applianceforother than its intended use.It is designedfor
domestic indoor use only.

•There may be a trace of odourduring the first few minutes of initialuse,or
after a period of storage. This is normal and will quickly disappear.
•If the glassis damaged, do not use the heater in order to avoid a hazard.
•Avoidthe useof an extensioncord,as the cord mayoverheatandcausea
risk of fire.
•Thisfireplaceis hotwhenin use.To avoidburns,do notlet bare skin touch
hot surfaced. If provided, use handles when moving this appliance.
•Keep combustible materials, such as furniture, pillows, bedding, papers,
clothesandcurtainsatleast3feetfromthefrontandsidesofthisappliance.
•Thisapplianceisdesignedforindooruseonlyandis notintendedforusein
bathrooms, laundry areas and similar indoor locations. Never locate this
appliance where itmay fall into a bathtubor otherwise becomeexposedto
water.
•Do notrun the cord undercarpeting.Donotcoverthe cordwith throw rugs,
runnersorsimilar.Ensurethecordis keptawayfromtrafficareas,andkept
in a position which would not present a trip hazard.
•To disconnect this appliance, turn the controls to the off position, then
remove the plug from the outlet.
•This appliancehas hotand arching or sparking parts inside. Do not use it
in areaswheregasoline,paint,oranyflammableliquidsareusedorstored.
•This applianceshould notbe usedas a dryingrack for clothing,nor should
Christmas stockings or decorations be hung on or near it.
•This electric fire is an instant heatsource to warm up a room and is great
for visual room ambiance it doesn’t necessarily need to be used as a
constant or permanent source of heating for the home.
•Clean the fire regularly to preventthe build-up of hairs dust or lint around
the fire, as this may cause the outlet to become blocked.
•Do not use aerosols or steam cleaners on or around the fire.
MANUAL HANDLING
•Theheatermustnotbemovedwhileinuse.Pleaseallowa suitableamount
of time for the unit to cool before attempting to move it.
•One person should be sufficient to lift the heater. If for any reason it is
considered too heavy then obtain assistance.
•When lifting always keep your back straight. Bend your legs and not your
back.
•Avoid twisting at the waist. It is better to reposition your feet.
•Avoid upperbody/ top heavy bending.Alwaysbendfrom the knees rather
than the waist.Do notleanforwardor sideways whilsthandlingthe heater.
•Always grip with the palm of the hand. Do not use the tips of fingers for
support.

•Alwayskeepthe heateras closeto the bodyaspossible.Thiswillminimize
the cantilever action.
•If required, use gloves to provide additional grip.
•Always use assistance if required.
THIS SYMBOL MEANS DO NOT COVER, IN ORDER TO
AVOID OVERHEATING. DO NOT COVER OR OBSTRUCT
ANY OF THE HEAT OUTLET GRILLES OR AIR INTAKE
OPENINGS OF THE HEATER.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
The heatermustnot be locatedunderan electricalsocket;the socketmust
always be accessiblein order to disconnectthe heater from the electrical
supply for maintenance and cleaning.
Important: This heatermustbe earthed.The mainssupplymustbe safely
routed from the heater to an electrical socket.
•If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer,
service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
•This appliance is suppliedwith a BS1363 3 pin plug fitted with a 13 Amp
fuse. Shouldthe fuse require replacement,it mustbe replacedwith a fuse
rated at 13 Amp and approved to BS1362.
•In the eventthe mainsplughas to beremoved or replaced for any reason.
NOTE: The wires in the mains lead on this appliance are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
•Green and Yellow - Earth
•Blue - Neutral
•Brown - Live
NOTE:As the colours may not correspondwith
the markings identifying the terminals in your
plug, please proceed as follows.
•The green and yellow wire must be connectedto the terminal in the plug
whichis markedwith the letter E orwith the earth symbolor colouredgreen
and yellow.
•ThebluewiremustbeconnectedtotheterminalmarkedNorcolouredblack.
•ThebrownwiremustbeconnectedtotheterminalmarkedLorcolouredred.
Important-anycutoffplugshouldbedisposedofsafelytopreventahazard.
There is a dangerof electric shockif a cut off plug is inserted into a socket
outlet.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
NOTE: Two people are recommended for installation.
Step
1
Remove the 5 screws holding the xing bracket above the front glass panel then carefully remove
the bracket.
Step

Remove the 8 screws holding the side panel in place and then carefully remove the side panels.
Step

Slide the front glass panel to the le, take down the glass panel and place it on a so surface.

Slide the front glass panel back into the unit taking great care not to damage the glass.
Step

Insert the xing bracket back into place and secure with 5 screws.
Remove the protective film from the decorative bed first. Place the logs into the fire as desired.

(Optional) Fix the side panels on the unit with 8 screws if required.
MEDIA WALL INSTALLATION FIXED FROM THE FRONT
Step 1
Fix the L-shaped brackets [A] on the top of
the heater with 2 screws [B]and 2 gaskets
[E].
Insert the heater into the media wall from
the front. The other side of the L-shaped
bracket can be xed on the media wall with
4 screws [C].
Tighten the screws [C] into the media wall.
Adjustment range with brackets front facing
is:
0-7 mm or 42-55 mm.
Step 2
Cover the media wall with panels according to personal preferences.

MEDIA WALL INSTALLATION FIXED FROM BEHIND
Step 1
Fix the L-shaped bracket [A] on the top of the heater with 2 screws [B] and 2 gaskets [E]. The
other side of the L-shaped bracket can be fixed on the media wall with 4 screws [C]. See Fig. A.
Step 2
Insert the heater into the media wall from the front
and ensure that the brackets at the back of the unit
align correctly for installaon. Tighten the screws [C]
into the media wall.

Fix the L-shaped bracket [A] on the top of the heater with 2 screws [B] and 2 gaskets [E]. The other
side of the L-shaped bracket can be xed on the decorave wooden frame with 4 screws [C].

Insert the heater into the media wall from the front and
ensure that the brackets at the back of the unit align
correctly for installaon. Tighten the screws [C] into the
media wall.

Press this button to change flame color. There are ten types of
flame effect.
Hold it for about 3 seconds to change toplight color. There are
seven types of toplight effect.

Press this button to adjust the temperature.
Press this button to change flame color. There are ten types of
flame effect. Which consists of yellow, blue, red and multi-color.
According to personal preferences, you can press this button
many times until reach the desired color effect. Hold it for about
3 seconds to decrease the flame intensity. There are 4 light
intensities for your selection. The flame optics will go lower
under the sequence of 4,3,2 and 1.
Press this button to change toplight effect. There are seven
types of toplight effect. Which consists of yellow, blue, red
and multi-color. According to personal preferences, you can
press this button many times until reach the desired color effect.

CARE AND MAINTENANCE
When cleaningunit,thepower supplyshouldbe disconnectedand the unitshouldbecool.
Dust can be removed by lightly wiping the glass surface with clean, lint free cloth or
papertowel. To removefingerprintsorothermarks, usea damp clothwithagoodquality
household glass cleaner. The front glass panel should be completely dried before
reusing the heater.
CAUTION:
•Do notuse abrasive cleaner on glass panel.
•Do not spray liquids directly onto any surface of the unit.
•Do notclean theglass on the insideof theunitas thismay causedamage to the surface.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Most problems are simple to resolve - please refer to the followingtable before callinga
service engineer:
