INSTALLATION
INSTALLATION COMPLIANCE: Galvin Engineering products must be installed in accordance with these
installation instructions and in accordance with AS/NZS 3500, the PCA and your local regulatory requirements.
Water and/or electrical supply conditions must also comply to the applicable national and/or state standards.
Failing to comply with these provisions shall void the product warranty and may affect the performance of the
product.
1. Close the mains and deinstall Spout
- Close off both (hot and cold) water
mains or power main. Ensure water is
not flowing when hand waving in front
of the sensor.
- Loosen grab screw to unlock the
spout. Pull and gently remove the
spout.
- Removing the disinfection key cover
plug might help with detaching the
faceplate in next steps.
2. Remove the faceplate
- Loosen the grub screw shown on above
picture.
- Unscrew the locking nut and remove.
Remove the flange.
- Carefully remove the faceplate.
- Do not change the position of the backnut if
not necessary.

3. Ensure water is closed

4. Remove locking ring
- Break/remove the plastic lock in the centre
of the thermostatic mixing valve.

5. Remove cartridge
- Use spanner size 28mm and turn the
cartridge in counterclockwise direction
until it reaches the end of its threads.
Pull the thermostatic cartridge out of
the mixer body. Open both (hot and
cold) water mains and check for leaks.
- Open both isolating valves and check
for leaks.
Note: The flow might start from the inner part of the spout if the
main power remained on.
- Remove the cartridge by hand
6. Assembly and testing
- New cartridge can now be re-installed,
by screwing into the mixer body until it
reaches a firm stop. The cartridge
should be tightened to a torque of
15Nm. Re-install or install new plastic
lock supplied with the new cartridge.
- When service is complete, slowly turn the
cold-
position and inspect mixer body for leaks.
Repeat with hot water isolation ball valve.
- Reassemble by reversing steps 1 and 2.
- Re-commission the mixer as per
commissioning procedure (see units
installation instruction for details).
