self-checking. If the zero position is normal, "0.000" is displayed.
d. If the battery indicating light - + turns on, insert adapter and charge the storage
battery in time.
4.2 Zero-setting
When the weight is under 2% F • S and if press ZFRO it will display "0.000". At the
same time, indicator light “0” turns on.
The repeated zero range is 4% F • S.
Note: When the indicating "NET" light on, zero-setting doesn’t work.
4.3 Tare

switch. If "kg/lb" light flashing, means "Lb" selected.
5. Rechargeable Battery Maintaining
(Please skip this section if your scale does not have battery.)
Attention:
- 4 -

§1 GMB scale rechargeable battery is an option; Scale can work without battery when
the adaptor plug in.
§2 We make sure each battery been put in stay in new and fully charged condition,
however we could not warranty the battery life, it is expendable item, depend on
proper maintenance.
5.1 When the low voltage indicating lights on, which means the battery voltage is too
weak to work normally. At this time, insert AC power adaptor to charge in time. The
scale can be operated while being charged. If continue to operate without charging in
time, the scale wilt be forced to shut off in several minutes.
5.2 If it automatically shut off as soon as it is turned on with DC power, it means its
battery voltage is seriously low, at this time charge the battery at once.
5.3 If the working time is rather short for the storage battery that is fully charged, it
needs to change the storage battery:
Reversal the scale, unscrew all eight screws, remove the cover board carefully.
Take out the battery, disconnect the positive and negative metal pieces and replace
with a new one. Seal the battery again with cover board.
Note: when changing, be sure of the correct electrode connection of the storage
battery.
5.4 The voltage saving function is set to enlarge working time of the battery, i.e.
If the scale remain at zero position about 20 seconds and its keypad is not operated,
- 5 -

It will display "□" to save power and stay in sleeping mode.
5.5 Battery: Quick Answers to General Questions
A > How to charge battery?
The scale must be in turn on mode when using AC adaptor to charge battery.
B > How to tell the battery low?
When the battery indicating light - + turns on, means battery low, must insert
adapter and charge the storage battery right a way, otherwise battery will be easily
damaged after longer drain time.
C > How to tell adaptor works ok and battery being charged properly?
With AC adaptor plugging in, Scale display should always stay on“0.000”; never
go to sleeping mode; do not display "□".
D > How to tell battery been fully charged?
With AC adaptor plugging in, turn scale off and back on again. If scale charge
light off and display always stay on “0.000”, do not go to sleeping mode after 20
seconds, means battery been fully charged.
E > What does it mean when display showing "□"?
Means scale is not being charged right now; and scale in sleeping mode to save
power.
F > AC adaptor is plugged in, how come charge light do not turn on?
(1). If scale always stay on “0.000”, and do not go to sleeping mode, means
- 6 -

battery been fully charged, charge light will stay off;
(2). If scale display showing "□" after 20 second no use, please check charge
connection and AC adaptor output voltage.
G > Does this scale work with direct power (9v adaptor)?
Yes, it does. Especially when the battery drained too low to be charged, just plug
in adaptor when using scale.
6. User’s Guide
6.1 The scale should be flatly placed. Though the scale has good protection, it must
be used under high non-vibration conduction.
6.2 While weighing, place the load in the center of the platter as far as possible.
6.3 Never use high corrosive solvents to clean it.
6.4 Do not weight overload, when the weighing exceeds the Max. Capacity +9e, it
will display" FULL ".
6.5 Don't place load on the scale platter for long period of time. Never bump the
platter with weighing load; otherwise the load cell would be damaged.
6.6 Don't disassemble it without authorization. Non-authorized manufacturer or
non-professional staff' can't fix it without permission; contact our sales agent in local
area.
