Instructions for use
Chose your blade, depending on what you are cutting. Insert the blade as
per the instructions for attaching the blade.
General cutting
•Always use a blade suited to the material, the quality of cut will
improve as the number of blade teeth increase.
•Always ensure the material you are cutting is firmly held or clamped to
prevent movement.
•Any movement of the material may affect the quality of the cut.
•The blade cuts on the upward stroke and may chip the uppermost
surface or edges of your workpiece when cutting.
•Ensure your uppermost surface is non-visible surface when your work is
finished.
Tree trimming
•Use the wood blade when cutting tree branches.
•Cut close to the base of the tree to decrease movement of the branch
being cut.
Metal cutting
•Use a finer tooth blade for ferrous metals and a coarse tooth blade for
non-ferrous metals.
•When cutting thin sheet metal always clamp wood on both sides of the
sheet, this will reduce vibration or tearing of the sheet metal.
•Do not force the cutting blade when cutting thin metal or sheet steel
as they are harder materials and will take longer to cut.
•Excessive blade force may reduce the life of the blade or damage the
motor, to reduce heat during metal cutting add a little cutting oil along
the cutting line.

10
Your trigger is locked off to prevent accidental start up once the battery is
inserted.
Press the lock-off button and the on/off trigger at the same time and this will
release the lock-off. You are now able to use the saw.
1. Mark the cut line clearly before cutting.
2. Place the extension bracket firmly on the material whilst cutting, use
only enough steady pressure on the blade to keep the saw cutting.
3. Reduce the pressure as the blade comes to the end of a cut.
4. Allow the saw to come to a complete stop before removing the blade
from the material.
Cleaning and maintenance
•Remove the battery pack from the tool before carrying out any
adjustments, service or maintenance.
•Your tool requires no additional lubrication or maintenance.
•There are no user serviceable parts in your tool.
•Never use water or chemical cleaners to clean your tool, wipe clean
with a dry cloth always.
•Store your tool in a dry place, keep the motor ventilation slots clean
keep all working controls from of dust.
Li-Ion battery care & maintenance
Lithium-Ion rechargeable batteries require routine maintenance and care in
their use and handling. Read and follow the guidelines to safely use Lithium-
Ion batteries and achieve the maximum battery life span.
•Do not leave batteries unused for extended periods of time, either in
the machine or in storage. When a battery has been unused for 3
months or more, check the charge status and charge or dispose of the
battery as appropriate.
•The typical estimated life of a Lithium-Ion battery is about two years or
300 charge cycles, whichever occurs first. One charge cycle is a period
of use from fully charged, to fully discharged, and fully recharged
again.
•Rechargeable Lithium-Ion batteries have a limited life and will
gradually lose their capacity to hold a charge. This loss of capacity
(aging) is irreversible. As the battery loses capacity, the length of time it
will power the product (run time) decreases.

11
•Lithium-Ion batteries continue to slowly discharge (self-discharge) when
not in use or while in storage. Routinely check the battery’s charge
status.
•Carefully monitor batteries that are approaching the end of their
estimated life.
•Consider replacing the battery with a new one if you note either of the
following conditions:
The battery run time drops below about 60% of the original run
time.
The battery charge time increases significantly.
•If a battery is stored or otherwise unused for an extended period, follow
the storage instructions. If damaged, do not attempt to recharge it or
to use it. Replace it with a new battery.
Storage
•Charge or discharge the battery to approximately 50% of capacity
before storage.
•Charge the battery to approximately 50% of capacity at least once
every six months.
•Remove the battery and store it separately from the product.
•Store the battery at temperatures between 5°C and 20°C (41°F and
68°F). Please note: Higher temperatures (above 20°C or 68°F) reduce
the battery storage life.
