Thank you for purchasing the Chrysilis Hanging Egg Chair from Gardenwize. This super
comfortable hanging egg chair is perfect for use both outdoors and indoors.
For outdoor use, it is ideal for patios, decking and balconies which have level, hard floors.
It is NOT suitable for use on grassy or uneven terrain which you will find in caravan/
motorhome parks, beaches and local parks.
For indoor use, you can place it inside conservatories, sun rooms and lounges.
PLEASE NOTE: This hanging egg chair does swing, so when positioning this chair
please be mindful that you have sufficient space around the egg chair.
This egg chair is designed for a single person. It should NOT be used for sitting 2 or more
people as it risks sustaining a personal injury and damaging the chair.
Before assembling and using this hanging egg chair, please read through all the information
in this document. Please keep this document for future reference.

IMPORTANT: To assemble this product you will need 10 & 15mm spanners (not included).
1. Carefully remove all the elements from its
packaging, lay all of the components on the
floor, and dispose of the packaging in the
correct manner.
2. First, you need to assemble the frame. Take
each of the leg poles and the rubber feet.
Push the rubber feet onto the leg poles.
Please ensure you firmly push the rubber feet
onto the pole. See Figure 1.

3. With the lower frame pole and and the four
leg poles (now with rubber feet attached),
assemble them together via the inlets located
at the bottom of the frame pole. Secure them
in place with the supplied bolts and allen key.
See Figure 2.
4. Then stand the bottom frame up. If needed,
please rotate the rubber feet so that the non-
slip grip is touching the floor first.
5. Then, insert the upper frame pole to the
lower frame pole. Secure in place using
the supplied bolts. You will need a 15mm
spanner to secure the bolt. See Figure 3 & 4.
6. Once the frame has been assembled, it is
time to unfold and set up the rattan basket.
Get the rattan basket, then unfold it so that
it fully expands (Figure 5). Secure one of the
Allen bolts and 10mm nuts in place onto the
bolt plate situated on the top of the basket
(Figure 6). You will need a 10mm spanner
and the supplied Allen key to secure in place.
Please do not fully tighten the bolt in place.
Only loosely secure the bolt.
IMPORTANT: When securing the bolt, please
ensure the threaded end is pointing outwards,
away from the basket as illustrated in Figure 6.
WARNING: Take extra care when unfolding the
rattan basket. Risk of fingers getting trapped.
7. Then, with two people, expand the basket
fully so that the other hole that you need to
bolt on is fully aligned. Once aligned, please
bolt into place using the method described in
step 4.
WARNING: You will need TWO people involved
when expanding the basket and aligning the
bolts. Do NOT fully tighten the bolts once the
basket has fully assembled.
8. Secure the bolts at the bottom of the basket.
Again, two people will be required to ensure
the holes are properly aligned.
9. Once assembled, tighten the bolts using a
10mm spanner and the supplied Allen key.

10. With the hook pin, insert it into the pre-
drilled hole located at the top of the upper
frame pole. See Figure 7.
11. Attach the coiled spring hook to the hook pin
as shown in Figure 8.
12. Secure the supplied basket chain onto the
basket’s ring hook. The chain’s spring hook
will secure onto the basket’s ring hook (see
Figure 9). The spring hooks feature a screw
sleeve to secure in place (Figure 10). Please
unscrew the screw sleeve on both spring
hooks in the first instance to open the spring
hooks.
13. Hook the chain onto the frame.
See Figure 11.
14. Furnish the rattan basket with the seat
cushion and neck pillow. With the neck
pillow, you will need to use the straps to tie it
onto the rattan basket. Once done, assembly
is complete.
