Appropriate Usage
•
The warming zones and the warming porcelain become hot when the device is in operation. Wear appropriate
protective equipment when touching the porcelain to protect yourself from the risk of being burnt.
• The warming zones should not be left unattended when they are in operation.
• Should any hot fats, oils or other ammable uids or materials catch re, use a re blanket to smother the ames.
Do not use water under any circumstances!
• Do not use the warming plates to heat rooms or spaces.
•
Use only induction-compatible pots, such as the InductWarm®-porcelain, when you are keeping hot meals and
dishes warm.
• The warming zones must be kept clean. There should be no residual objects present on the surface of the device
when it is being used. If any solid or liquid objects are present on the device, they must be immediately cleaned
up and taken care of.
•
Neither the warming pots nor any other objects should be allowed to fall onto the warming zones as this could
damage the warming zone. Please also consider that even small objects could damage the warming zone.
•
Please ensure that the induction-compatible pot is always positioned in the middle of the element so that the
bottom of the pot will cover the electromagnetic eld as far as possible.
•
Please note that pots and dishes can, under certain circumstances, become very hot. The warmth that is created in
the bottom of the pot can become so great that, due to the reective effect, both the warming eld and the glass
plate will also heat up. This could lead to a risk of burns.
•
No inammable liquids or aerosol cans containing highly inammable contents should be stored within a radius
of 1 metre of the device. Never place inammable objects on, or above, the warming eld.
•
Always protect your hands when working with potentially hot components or with the InductWarm® porcelain
by wearing thermally insulated gloves, pot holders or other similar safety equipment.
• Do not store any hard or pointed objects above the warming zone of your device. Should these objects fall down,
they could cause damage to the warming zone or to the glass plate.
•
Incorrectly carried out repairs endanger your safety and could lead to further damage to the device. Never carry
out repairs on the device or on the elements by yourself – instead contact the manufacturer whenever any defects
with the device become apparent.
•
The manufacturer‘s guarantee will be invalidated should the InductWarm® element or the InductWarm® remote
control be otherwise opened up or should one of the previously mentioned or following safety precautions not be
observed.
• After being stored in a cold room, any moisture contained in the room air will condense on the surface and inside
the table. If the device is connected to the power supply, there is a danger of a short circuit or of an electric shock
due to the lm of moisture. The device should only be used after it has rst reached room temperature.
•
The cooling fan is located behind the cooling vents on the side of the element. Warning: paper, aluminium foil
or other similar materials should not be allowed in close proximity to these vents. There is a risk that any such

9
materials could be sucked into the cooling vents and could cause damage to the fan or compromise the cooling
system. Inammable and explosive materials (e.g. sprays) should not be stored in or near the induction eld. RISK
OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION!
• The glass plate of the warming table and the built-in units should not be inappropriately overloaded with weight
as they are typically embedded with silicon.
• Only use the power cable that is delivered with the device. The cable must always be completely unwound. The
power cable should not be allowed to run over the device when it is in operation.
•
The power cable should not be used when the insulation or the power plug are damaged, or when the cable shows
signs of having been squashed or crushed. To unplug the device, pull the housing of the mains plug.
• Before using your device for the rst time, make sure that your house connection has been earthed and meets all
appropriate safety regulations.
• Never open the InductWarm® element. You will endanger both yourself and other people and your actions could
lead to the device malfunctioning.
• Examine the element and cable before putting the warming device into operation. The device should not be used
if you discover any evidence of damage.
• Do not use extensions cables that have not been approved to deal with the load.
• Note! A maximum of four elements (per connection in the table) should be connected with each other.
• InductWarm® systems should be used exclusively in closed spaces or rooms.
• Do not store any objects inside the table.
•
Make sure that no liquids (e.g. from spray mists) come into contact with the electrical components (the distribution
board in the table or the elements).
Gastros Switzerland AG is not liable for any damage that has been caused by incorrect or improper usage of the
device. Damage that results from a lack of attention to the safety guidelines and warnings will not be assumed
by Gastros.

10
Active Environmental Protection
Disposing of the Packaging
Please dispose of the packaging in the appropriate recycling point and thus help to ensure that the raw materials used
in the packaging can be used again.
Disposing of Devices
Electrical devices contain materials that can be re-used when they are processed correctly. It is there-
fore extremely important that electrical devices are handed over either to the appropriate recycling point
or back to the point of purchase. It is strictly forbidden and dangerous to human health to throw the
device into the rubbish.
Before Using for the First Time
Cleaning for the First Time
Unpack the device and remove all of the protective lm and packaging materials that were provided to protect the item
while it was being transported. Clean the unit with a damp cloth and then dry it.
Starting up the Device
The components may be treated with a preservative. There is a chance of a build up of odours when the device is rst
started up. This is damaging to your health.
Setting up the Table
Pay attention to the oor area upon which the table is to be set up. The oor must be dry, level and skid-proof. Should
this not be the case, the dishes could slide while the unit is being used.

11
Functioning of the Warming Zones
The warming zones that can be controlled via a remote control (1) consist of our so-called InductWarm® elements (2).
These elements use induction to keep induction-compatible pots, such as our specially coated InductWarm® porcelain,
(3) warm.
Compatibility
Because the warming zones and the InductWarm® elements are designed to match perfectly with the coating on our
porcelain dishes, no other foreign containers, whether made of metal or of porcelain should be use in the warming zones.
Please thus use only the InductWarm® porcelain from Gastros AG in combination with your InductWarm® system.

12
Operation
Display on the InductWarm® element
Warming Display
The warming zones are controlled with the remote control provided. The remote control must be held at a distance bet-
ween 5cm and a maximum of 40cm from the unit. There are four temperature levels available, which can be activated
by pressing the appropriate button.
Button 1: Switching on or changing to heat level 1
Button 2: Switching on or changing to heat level 2
Button 3: Switching on or changing to heat level 3
Button 4: Switching on or changing to heat level 4
OFF Button: Switching off into standby mode

13
Switching the Device on
The following things must be checked before the device is switched on:
• Make sure that the power supply has been connected.
• The heat-retaining surfaces should be free from dirt.
• Only induction-compatible pots specially intended for the purpose should be used.
If all of these requirements have been met, press the desired button on the remote control and the warming device
will carry out the function requested. Hold the remote control a maximum of 40cm away from the element that is to be
controlled.
Point the remote controller in the direction of the infrared receiver.
To switch to the desired power level: hold the button for the desired level of warmth pressed down and aim with the
opening of the remote control from a distance of a maximum of 40cm at the array of LEDs of the InductWarm® element,
until the number of LEDs corresponding to the desired warmth level light up permanently.
Switching Zones Partially on or off
You can use the remote control to operate each individual warming zone separately. This allows you a very high level
of variety in the combination of meals that can be presented.
Warming Area
The warming temperatures that are reached depend on both the type of induction-compatible pot used and the contents
of the dish. The information contained in the following table should be taken as reference values.
Level Wärmebereich Examples of Use
1 Approx. 30 – 40° Degrees Celsius Fish Dishes
2 Approx. 40 – 60° Degrees Celsius Meat
3 Approx. 60 – 80° Degrees Celsius Steaming
4 Approx. 80 – 95° Degrees Celsius Soups and Sauces

14
Switching on and off Automatically
If the induction-compatible pot is removed, the LEDs of the selected level of warmth will ash and the power level will
be switched off. The InductWarm® element will start operating again if another induction-compatible pot is placed on
the element within the next 20 seconds. This time period can be used to exchange dishes. If no induction-compatible
pot is placed on the element within the next 20 seconds, the element will switch into standby mode.
Putting the Device into Standby Mode
If your InductWarm® system is put into standby mode, the LEDs will blink as if warmth level 1 has been selected.
Switching the Device Off
Disconnect the power supply of your InductWarm® product to turn the product off. If the InductWarm® product is
connected to a power supply, it will move automatically into standby mode. The OFF (AUS) button on the remote control
will not switch the system off completely.
Heat-retaining Porcelain
Operation of the Heat-retaining Porcelain
The heat-retaining porcelain has been provided with a specially patented coating that allows the inductive effect to
occur in the rst place. The inductive effect in the warming zone causes the underside of the porcelain to quickly warm
up, thus keeping your meal warm.
Replacing the Heat-retaining Porcelain – the Zones Remain Active
When a induction-compatible pot is removed from the warming zone while the device is in operation, the warming zone
automatically switches into standby mode. If a induction-compatible pot is then placed in the warming zone within 20
seconds, the warming zone is automatically reactivated and switches to the same level of warmth as it had been set
to previously. If a dish is recognised as being unsuitable, or if no induction-compatible pot is placed in the zone within
the 20-second time window, the affected warming zone switch off automatically.

15
Safety Guidelines for the Heat-retaining Porcelain
It is essential to avoid leaving an empty InductWarm® porcelain dish in the warming zone. The bottom of the dish and
the warming zone could suffer damage.
The ferromagnetic InductWarm® porcelain is not suitable to be used with microwaves or with induction cookers! In
addition, avoid allowing the temperature of the porcelain to change too quickly to prevent a risk of rupture or breakage.
Placing the Induction-Compatible Pot Correctly
The dish should be positioned in the middle, over the marking (the ring).
Care should be taken to ensure that the glass plate is not scratched by the edges of the porcelain dish when the induction-
compatible pot is placed on and taken off the plate.
Purchasing Heat-retaining Porcelain
You can purchase additional InductWarm® porcelain at any time.
More information can be found on our website at: www.gastros.ch

16
Tips for Saving Energy
• Replace empty porcelain containers as quickly as possible or remove them from the warming zone to avoid unne-
cessary warming taking place.
•
Use induction-compatible pots whose size is appropriate for the amount of food they contain. Energy usage is
dependent only on the size of the dish and the level of warmth of the warming zone, and not dependent upon the
on the lling level or food in the dish.
• Use our InductWarm® Buffet covers, if possible, to prevent the meal from cooling down. If the dish cover is used,
it is possible to use a lower level of warmth in the warming zone to keep meals warm.
•
Disconnect the InductWarm® system from the power supply when it is not being used, for example over night.
The InductWarm® system uses energy even when it is in standby mode.
•
Always ll your dishes into preheated induction-compatible pots. That could well enable the meal to be kept warm
at a lower level of power.
•
Place the induction-compatible pot as close as possible to the centre of the warming zone (see the marking of the
circle) to enable the system to run at full efciency.
General Information about the Operation of Induction Devices
People with electronic implants (e.g. cardiac pacemakers) must clarify with their doctor, on the basis of the technical
data, whether they can use the device safely.
There is a risk of demagnetization when the device is in operation. It is thus possible that certain objects (e.g. credit
cards with magnetic strips, video or audio cassettes or computer discs) that come into range of the magnetic alternating
eld will have any data that is saved on them deleted.
Metallic objects that come into range of the magnetic alternating eld can heat up quickly. Please make sure that there
are no metallic objects on or above the elements.
When setting the device up, ensure that there is a minimum distance of 20cm to any walls and any other objects that
could hinder ventilation.

17
Cleaning and Care
• Always keep the inside of the table, the housing of your InductWarm® system and the elements clean and dry.
• Before cleaning the inside of the table and the housing of your InductWarm® system, disconnect all connecting
cables and remove the elements.
• Wait until the InductWarm® elements have cooled down before beginning to clean. Only use a dry cloth to clean
the elements.
• Only use a soft and damp cloth to clean the table and the housing of your InductWarm® system. Do not use any
scouring agent or aggressive cleaning agent.
• Use a glass cleaner to clean the glass plate and leave it free of streaks.
• Use a specialised stainless steel cleaning product and stainless steel care product for the table legs and housing
made from stainless steel.
• Ensure that no water gets into the elements.
•
The InductWarm® porcelain can be cleaned in a normal dishwasher. Use a porcelain cleaning agent if stains start
building up on the surface due to metal abrasion.

The device is not working – What could the problem be?
•
Check to see if all power cables and connecting cables have been plugged in correctly and whether the power
supply is working.
•
Check to see whether you are actually using induction-compatible pots in connection with your system. The system
is not compatible with other types of dishes or crockery.
• Check to see whether the pots have been placed such that a minimum of 2/3rds of the surface area is within the
warming zone (see the marking of the circle).
•
Check to see if the warming zone has been set to a warming level with the remote control. The system will not
(automatically) keep food warm when it is in standby mode.
• Check to see if the battery of the remote control has enough power remaining.
• Ensure that there are no objects, such as for example tablecloths between the porcelain and the warming area.
