Procedures
• Do not attempt to catheterize without lubricating the catheter adjunct with mineral oil lubricant. Failure to
lubricate the device will make catheterization very dicult and is likely to result in damage to the simulator.
• Do not attempt to perform a prostate exam or colonoscopy without lubricating the device adjunct with mineral
oil lubricant. Failure to lubricate the device will make performing the prostate exam or colonoscopy very dicult
and is likely to result in damage to the simulator.
• Treat the simulator with the same precautions that would be used with a real patient.
WARNING: Only the appropriate mineral oil lubricant that is sent with the simulator.
General Cleaning
• The simulator is "splash-proof" but not water-proof. Do not submerge or allow water or other liquids to enter
the interior of the simulator.
• The simulator should be cleaned with a cloth dampened with diluted liquid dishwashing soap and clean water.
• Dry thoroughly after every cleaning.
• A secondary cleaning with a cloth dampened with 70% isopropyl alcohol can be performed if required.
• Do not clean with harsh abrasives.
• Dry thoroughly after every cleaning.
• After drying, application of talcum powder can return the simulator to its lifelike feel.

The S230.200 Advanced ZACK has four (4) dierent, color-coded prostates:
• Enlarged Benign prostate - (Yellow)
• (2) Discreet Nodules prostate - (Green)
• Large Mass prostate - (Red)
• Malignant Invasive Cancer prostate - (Blue)
To rotate the prostates:
1. Identify the slight bump on the pelvic
region of the simulator that identifies
where the button is to rotate the internal
disc that the prostates are mounted on.
NOTE: The prostates are mounted on to a
rotational disc that is pre-assembled inside the
simulator. On the outside of the simulator there
is a slight bump in the pelvic region to indicate
where a button is. Press this button to rotate
the prostates and perform examinations.
2. Press the button down firmly twice.
NOTE: It is necessary to press down
on the button twice to rotate to the
next prostate for examination.
Be sure to do two separate and complete
pushes to properly rotate the prostates.
(2 button presses = 1 rotation)

3. Thoroughly lubricate your gloved hand with the
mineral oil before performing a prostate exam.
NOTE: When performing a digital prostate
exam, insert the digit in an upwards
direction to palpate the prostate.
The S230.200 Advanced ZACK has a scrotum, (2) normal testes, and the Vas Deferens assembly pre-installed.
Scrotum
The scrotum covers the connected testes and connected Vas Deferens on
the simulator. An additional scrotum is provided as a spare.
To remove the scrotum:
1. Gently pull on the scrotum to
disengage it from the simulator.
NOTE: The scrotum is simply held in place
by tucking the edges into the cavity.
To reinstall the scrotum:
1. Tuck the testes and Vas Deferens
into the scrotum.

NOTE: The Vas Deferens mechanism is internally
installed on the simulator and contains a
reel of tubing. The length of Vas Deferens
used to connect the testes is adjustable.
Vas Deferens
The Vas Deferens Assembly is simulated with a 48 inch length of tubing loaded onto a reel that is pre-
installed in the simulator. An additional Vas Deferens Assembly is provided to reload the reel as needed.

4.3 PENIS, GLANS, & URETHRA
The penis of the S230.200 Advanced ZACK is
attached to the lower body of the simulator
with a built-in urethra and removable glans.
It is not necessary to remove the glans, however, if it is damaged it may be necessary to purchase a replacement
item. Refer to section "6.2 Parts List" on page 27 for part numbers to order for additional replacements.
To remove the glans:
1. Gently use the pads of your fingers to
remove the glans from the penis, stretching
the foreskin and pulling the glans out.

Urethra
The urethra on the S230.200 leads to a bladder that can be filled for catheterization procedures.
To fill the bladder:
1. Obtain the syringe from the "Fill and Drain Kit"
and screw the fill connector to the syringe.
2. Fill the syringe with clean distilled water.
3. Lift up the skin flap on the right side of the
simulator to reveal the labelled ports. One
is for "AIR" and one is for "LIQUID".
NOTE: The "AIR" port should only have
air inputted. This port fills an air reservoir
to assist with pressurizing the liquid
bladder bag next to it. How to use this
port is explained in the next section.
The "LIQUID" port should only have fluid
inserted. This will be the source of fluid
when catheterization is performed.

4.Connect the syringe to the white
"LIQUID" bladder port.
5. Fill the bladder.
NOTE: The bladder can hold up
to 450 mL of volume.
6.Disconnect the syringe.

1. Fill the bladder as instructed
in the previous section.
2. Obtain the recommended device sized catheter
and lubricate with the appropriate mineral oil.
3. Insert the lubricated catheter into the urethra
to an appropriate distance and have a waste
collection container nearby to collect fluid.
NOTE: Insert catheter at a 45 degree
angle to activate the bladder valve.
4.4 CATHETERIZATION
To catheterize the Advanced ZACK:
4.To control the flow of fluid exiting the catheter,
obtain the squeeze pump assembly.
5. Connect the squeeze pump assembly
to the black "AIR" reservoir port.

S230.200 ADVANCED ZACK™ | USER GUIDE

6.Tighten the knob on the squeeze pump
and begin squeezing the pump to
pressurize the system. This will assist in
the flow of fluid exiting the catheter.
NOTE: Loosen the knob on the squeeze
pump to release air from the system and
lessen the pressure. This will decrease
the flow of fluid exiting the catheter.
7. Once done performing catheterization,
disconnect the squeeze pump assembly.

• (1) Melanoma
• (2) Ulcerative Adenocarcinoma
• (1) Adenomatous Polyp
• (2) Sessile Adenocarcinoma
• (1) Advanced Polypoid Adenoma
• (1) Pedunculated Adenomatous Polyp
• (1) Pedunculated Polyp
Procedures such as colonoscopies and biopsy/polyp removal with non-electrocautery devices can be performed.
To prepare for a colonoscopy:
1. Obtain the appropriate colonoscopy
device and lubricate generously with
the appropriate mineral oil.
NOTE: Use the recommended device sizes.
Refer to section "5.2 Cleaning the Colon &
Rectum" on page 25 for instructions on how
