Before you begin - Read these instructions completely and carefully.
IMPORTANT: Save these instructions for local inspector's use.
IMPORTANT: OBSERVE ALL GOVERNING CODES AND ORDINANCES.
NOTE TO INSTALLER: Be sure to leavethese instructions withthe Consumer.
NOTE TO CONSUMER: Keep these instructions with your Owner's Manual for future reference.
To prevent electric shock,disconnect electrical
power supply to dishwasher before changing
panels. Do notoperate dishwasher while
changing panel.
CAUTION
The dishwasher willtip over whenthe door isopened. Hold the
top of thedishwasher securely withone hand andhold the door
with the other hand.
The GPF18 trimkits provide forthe installation ofa 1/4" thick
custom door panel.
This kit includes:
STEP 1 CUT 1/4" THICK CUSTOM PANEL TO SIZE
Cut door panel to the dimensions shown in Figure 1.
NOTE: The trim provided will conceal the cut edges of the
panel.

Phillips screwdriver
Gloves to protect against sharp edges
Safety glasses

STEP 2 REMOVE DOOR PANEL
Open dishwasher door.
Remove the 6Phillips head screwsalong the
side of thedoor (Figure 2) holding the innerdoor to
the outer panel. Retain screws.
Remove door panel.

NOTE: Toprevent any damage, support the outer door
panel while removingthe screws.
STEP 4 INSTALL THE ASSEMBLED PANEL

Close the dishwasher door.
Slide the panelassembly into theescutcheon tab
(Figure 4).

Open the dishwasherdoor and reinstallthe original
6 Phillips headscrews to attachthe inner doorto the
trim kit assembly (Figure 5).
Close the door.

While supporting thedoor kit asm.
STEP 3 ASSEMBLE PANEL AND TRIM FRAME
Slide the 1/4" custom panel into the channel
between the trim and the steel panel (figure 3).
Place the assembledpanel, appearance side
down on aflat protected surface.Be careful not to
scratch the custom panel orthe trim.

STEP 5 CHECK DOOR BALANCE
To check the door balance, hold the top of the dishwasher
firmly.
Open the doorslowly, ifthe door drops faster than
desired when released, increase spring tension.If the
door closes tooquickly when released,decrease tension.
To adjust spring tension:
Make sure door is closed
Unhook springs from adjustment pins
Relocate adjustment pinup (to increasetension) or
down (to decrease tension) as desired.
Hook door springsto adjustment pins.
Open and closedoor to checkdoor balance.
Repeat adjustment if required.
NOTE: Make sure both springs have the same tension
settings.
