Replacement
The light bulb islocated in the
upper left corner of the oven.
Beforereplacing the bulb,
disconnect electric power tothe
rangeat the main fuse or circuit
breaker panel or pull the range
powercord plug from the electrical
outlet. I&t the bulb coolcompletely
beforeremoving it. Do nottouch a
hotbulb with adamp cloth as the
bulb wiUbreak.
Replace with ahigh temperature
appliance bulb ofthesamewattage.

maketheinteriormoreaccessible.
Opentheovendoorfullyand
removethetwoPhillipsscrewsthat
hokithedoortothehinges.Then
closethedoortotheautomaticstop
position(atabout3inchesopen),
andliftthedoorstraightupandoff
thehinges.(Duetothelargeamount
ofinsulationandtheconstruction
ofthedoor,itisheavy.)

The temperature control inyour
newovenhasbeen carefullyadjusted
to provideaccurate temperatures.
However,if this ovenhas replaced
oneyou haveusedforseveralyears,
youmaynotice adifference in the
degree ofbrowningor the length of
time required when usingyour
favoriterecipes. Oven temperature
controls haveatendencyto “drifi”
overaperiod of years and since
thisdrift is very gradual, it isnot
readily noticed. Therefore, you
may havebecome accustomed to
yourprevious ovenwhich may
haveprovidedahigher or lower
temperature than you selected.
Beforeattempting to havethe
temperature ofyour new oven
changed, be sure you havefollowed
the baking time and temperature of
the recipe carefully.Then, after
youhave usedtheovenafewtimes
andyoufeeltheovenistoohot
ortoocool,thereisasimple
adjustmentyoucanmakeyourself
ontheOVENTEMPknob.
Pulltheknobofftheshaftandlook
at the backside.Thereisadiscin
thecenteroftheknobskirtwitha
seriesofmarksoppositeapointer.

1. Removethedoor(seepage18).

Noteto which mark the pointer is
pointing. Tomake an adjustment,
carefully loosen (approximately
one turn), but do not completely
removethetwoscrewsthatholdthe

bladeinonehandandtheouter
skirtintheotherhand.
Toraisetheoventemperature,
movethepointerinthedirectionof
thearrowforRAISE.Tolowerthe
temperature,movethepoiuterin

clockwisetolower,counterclockwise

The air adjustmentshutter for the
ovenburner regulatesthe flowof
air to the flame.
Theshutterfortheovenburneris
nearthebackwalloftheoven
behindthebroilerdrawer.
Toreachtheshutter,remove
theovenbottom(page19)andthe
burnerbaffle.
Toadjusttheflowofairtothe
burner,loosenthePhillipshead
screwandrotatetheshut~erto
allowmoreor lessair intothe
burnertubeasneeded.
Todetermineiftheburnerflame
isproper,lighttheburner.The
flameshouldhave1/2”to3/4”blue
coneswithnoyellowtipping.When
thebaffleisbackinplace,the
flamewillresettle.
