Energy-saving Tips
If your clothesand householditemsdon’tlookclean
and fresh after washing$you willprobablyre-wash
them.. and that meansyou’llwasteenergy.
Remember to sortyourclothescarefully,and load
them properly,selectcorrectcycles,use enough
detergentand chooseuwater temperaturewarm
eilo~ighto releaseat~dget rid of soil.
~Use Hot Wash—upto 150°F.—OJZaregularbasis
or?lywhen washing heavilysoiledarticles-such as
work and play clothes.
oUnder normal soilconditions,wash in water above
80°F.(27°C.). This generally meansusing the Warm
Wash temperaturesettingon your washer—
temperaturesapproximately90° to 1IO°F.or hand
comfortable. If you noticethat soilhas accumulated
after several consecutivewashings,use Hot Wash
occasionally,if safe for fabrics.
~Alwaysrinse in Cold Water.The temperatureof the
rinsedoesnot affectcleaning.
QTry to wash less often. Save articlesof the sametype
of fabricuntil you have afull load,
~If you must wash smallerloads, adjustthe amountof

remover products if such products are sprayed on or have
direct contact with the washer. Apply these pretreatment
products away from washer. The fabric may then be washed
normally. Damage to your washer caused by pretreatment
products is not covered by your warranty.
Clean washer to avoid discoloration of next load. Go
throughcomplete cycle (5-minute wash) using hot water,
1/2cup (120 ml) detergent, 1cup (240 ml) bleach. Wipe
sxterior parts. Caution: Tinting may discolor plastic in
ivasher.Subsequent washings will reduce discoloration
but may never eliminate it.
