Operation Guide
TROUBLESHOOTING
If the lantern does not turn on or works intermittently:
Replace the batteries.
Make sure the battery cap is twisted on tightly and batteries are inserted correctly.
If light appears dim or faded:

WARRANTY AND LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
MAINTENANCE
Inspect the lantern monthly and carefully remove any damaged batteries and clean
any corrosion. If the lantern is used less than once a month, remove the batteries
between use.
Limited One-Year Warranty
GearLight warrants this product for one year from the date of purchase
against any defects in material or workmanship. This warranty does not cover
normal wear and tear, nor damage resulting from misuse or neglect. We will,
at our discretion, repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of this product
should we determine it to be defective.
Limitation Of Liability
Liability limited to the purchase price of this product. GearLight shall not be
liable for any incidental or consequential damages or any implied warranty on
this product. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of
incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion
may not apply to you.
If problem persists: LED Failure. Contact GearLight for replacement.

WARNING:Do not shine the light directly into anyone’s eyes or stare directly into
the LED.
WARNING: Battery can explode or leak and cause injury if installed backwards,
disassembled, charged, crushed, mixed with used or other battery types, or
exposed to fire or extreme temperatures. Replace all batteries at the same
time. Keep out of the reach of children. Use only alkaline or NiMH recharge-
able batteries from a reputable manufacturer.
AA Battery Installation
1. Remove the battery compartment cap by holding the lantern upside down and
rotating the base counterclockwise.
2. Insert 3 AA batteries following the correct polarity (+,-) marked inside the
battery compartment.
3. Secure the battery compartment cap and rotate clockwise to tighten.

To turn the lantern on, pull up on the top part of the lantern to expose the LED
lights.
To turn the lantern o, fully collapse the lantern.
Adjust the height of the lantern to control the amount of light emitted.
MAGNETIC BASE AND FOLDAWAY HOOK
Four magnets located at the base of the lantern provide for easy hands-free
operation.
NOTE: Most stainless steel is not magnetic.
Easily hang the lantern with the foldaway hook located at the base of the
lantern.
