Gemalto EHS6T-LAN Basic Configuration
Introduction
Gemalto’s EHS6T-LAN wit Et ernet + Serial interfaces will function ‘out-of-t e-box’
wit out any c anges of t e configuration settings. In suc a scenario t e device
automatically connects to t e Cellular network (APN) using pre-defined credentials for t e
SIM card. T e Et ernet LAN interface functions as a DHCP server.
For applications w ere an alternative APN or Et ernet LAN configuration is required t e
ttp-web interface is available to make quickly make and save c anges. T e following
guide is intended to s ow w ere to find and c ange necessary parameters.
Pre-requisite: T is guide is not a replacement for t e Cinterion® Java Terminal - Hardware
Interface Description, released by Gemalto. Please refer to t at document for information
regarding t e device, interface and functionality of t e EHS6T family of devices.

Accessing t e EHS6T-LAN ttp web interface
After powering-up t e device, connect an Et ernet cable between t e EHS6T-LAN & PC.
T e EHS6T-LAN Et ernet interface functions as a DHCP server.
T e PC Et ernet LAN port s ould be configured as a DHCP client.
Browse to t e address ttp://192.168.1.1 using any web-browser
W en prompted, enter t e password: admin (‘User’ s ould automatically be set as: root )
T e next page displayed will be t e Initial Status Page, as below
Along t e top of t e page, after t e title ‘Open-Wrt’ are t e main menu eadings.

C anging t e Password
Under t e ‘System’ eading is t e Administration Page as s own below. T e device
password can be c anged on t is page.
After entering t e new password click on t e Save-Apply
button at t e base of t e page.
Do not forget t e new password!

C anging t e Wireless Network settings suc as Network APN Credentials
On t e top level menu options over over t e ‘Network’ eading t en select ‘Interfaces’
T e Network Interfaces Overview page will be displayed as follows.
To edit t e APN credentials or ot er settings for t e 3G Wireless Wide Area Network click
on t e Edit button in t e 3GWAN section, as ig lig ted above.
T e page below will be s own w ere APN details can be configured.
Enter t e APN Name, and t e Username & Password.
Note: ‘PAP/CHAP’ (in front of Username & Password) refers to t e two aut entication
met ods w ic t e device will automatically select & use to register onto t e APN.

Remember to click Save & Apply!
NOTE: For ease of use, it’s also
possible to transfer directly to t e above page from t e initial status page. On t e Initial
Status Page (first screen s ot in t is document), wit in t e Network section, t e 3G-WAN
word and icon is a clickable-link directly to t e above settings page.

C anging t e Et ernet LAN Settings
On t e Network->Interfaces Overview page (see page 4), adjacent to t e LAN information,
click on t e Edit button. T e LAN Interface Configuration settings page will be displayed.
To disable t e DHCP server, c eck t e tick-box in t e
DHCP Server section. T e IP address is defined in t e
‘IPv4 Address’ box in t e Common Configuration section.
T e Protocol can be left as ‘static’ unless ot er protocols
are required.
