Hardware installation
•Make s re HDD is set to the Master mode
•Connect IDE connector to the HDD
•Connect AC power to the HDD
•Connect cable to the USB port of comp ter
Driver installation
•Window98: Insert Driver CD into yo r C D-ROM drive and
la nch: D:\window98\set p.exe before yo connect the
cable to yo r comp ter
•Windows 2000/ME/XP: there is no need to install any
driver
•Mac 8.6 or higher: copy Gene USB SATA/IDE_05E3_0702.
sit to desktop and do ble click it to extract the driver f ile.
Then copy the driver f ile to [Syste m Folder] [Extensions].
After that, connect cable to comp ter and reboot the
system

Disconnect the cable from the system
