GENERAL INFORMATION

ThemodelPATROLMANsound suppressorisofferedina standard1/2-
28 (2A) thread mount only.
All muzzle attachments, including suppressors, will change barrel har-
monics and standing waves resulting in a slight change in point of impact
with the device in place. Because of its light weight, there is less point-of-
impact shift than most comparable sized suppressors for this caliber. The
degreeof changein thepointof impactwillvarywith thespecificweaponand
boththerigidity andmetallurgyofthe barrel.When usedwithstandardweight
law enforcement or military grade barrels, there will be no deleterious effect
on group size.
Thissuppressoriseffectiveinmarkedlyreducingthesoundofthemuzzle
blast,making itdifficultforan observertodetermine theoriginofthe shotand
reducingtheneed forshooterhearingprotection. Thereisnoway ofeliminat-
ing the ballistic crack (or sonic boom) of the projectile traveling downrange.
Thissuppressorcontains noexpendableparts.We recommendagainst
cleaning the interior of the suppressor. This instruction manual gives the
necessary instructions (P. 5) for maintenance of this unit.
USE OF ABLATIVE AGENTS (ARTIFICIAL ENVIRONMENT)
Do not fire this suppressor with any foreign material inside. This sup-
pressorisdesignedtooperatecompletelydry.Introductionofliquids, greases,
orother foreignmaterialscan causeabnormalpressuresandmustnever be
used.Any resultant damage is not covered under warranty.
AMMUNITION
ThePATROLMANsuppressor isdesignedto operatewithNATOspeci-
fication5.56x45NATOcartridges.Itisnotintendedtobeusedwithhandloaded
orforeign ammunitionthat exceedSAAMIor NATOpressure specifications.
The 5.56 cartridge is unique in that it contains a small mass of lead in
the core and a large surface area of copper jacket. After about 100 rounds
