1. Introduction
Congratulations on your purchase of the new IRT207
Heat SeekerTMInfraRed Ther o eter (IRT). This IRT is
an 8:1 non-contact te perature easuring instru ent
using infrared technology and laser sighting. Features
include a 4 digit backlit LCD, scan/hold function and
auto power off (7 secs). To easure a te perature,
point the unit at the object, pull the easuring trigger
and hold. Make sure the target area is larger than the
unit’s spot size.
2. Safety Information
CAUTION: Use of controls or adjust ents or
perfor ance of procedures other than those specified
herein ay result in dangerous radiation exposure.
• DO NOT sub erge the unit in water.
• This product is not designed for use in edical
evaluations. The product can only be used to
easure body te perature si ply for reference.
The IRT is eant for industrial and co ercial uses.

Tests were conducted using a frequency range of
80-1000MHz with the instru ent in three orientations.
The average error for the three orientations
is ±1.0ºF (±0.5ºC) at 3V/ throughout
the spectru . However, between
781-1000MHz at 3V/ ,
the instru ent ay not
eet its stated accuracy.

4. Operation of Instrument
4-1 Quick Start
To easure a te perature, point the unit at the target you
want to easure, pull the trigger and hold. Move closer to
or farther fro the target until it appears about the sa e
size as the laser’s circular easure ent ‘spot’, which has
a D:S ratio (Field of View) of 8:1. The single spot of laser
is used for ai ing purposes only.
The unit displays te peratures in either ºF or ºC.
Replace the battery when the battery voltage drops
below the voltage for reliable operation and the low
battery sy bol appears.

5. Maintenance
Cleaning the lens: Blow off loose particles using clean
co pressed air. Gently brush re aining debris away
with a ca el’s hair brush. Carefully wipe the surface
with a oist cotton swab. The swab ay be oistened
with water.
NOTE:
DO NOT use solvents to clean the glass lens.
Cleaning the housing:
Use soap and water on a da p sponge or soft cloth.

80 et 1 000 MHz, avec trois orientations de l’instr ment. L’erre r moyenne po r
les trois orientations est de ± 0,5° C à 3 V/m à travers to t le spectre. To tefois,
il se pe t q ’entre 781 et 1 000 MHz, à 3 V/m, l’instr ment n’atteindra pas la
précision stip lée.

4. Utilisation de l’instru ent
4-1 Départ rapi e
Po r mes rer la températ re, pointez l’ nité vers la cible q e vo s vo lez
mes rer, app yez s r le déclenche r et maintenez-le. Ass rez-vo s de
considérer la zone cible à l’intérie r de l’angle de vision de l’instr ment.
Le point d laser n’est tilisé q e po r la visée.
L’ nité est alimentée par ne pile de “9V” et affiche la températ re en ºC o ºF.
Remplacez la pile lorsq e la tension de la pile tombe à n nivea inférie r à la
tension req ise po r ass rer la fiabilité o si le symbole de pile faible apparaît.
5. Entretien
Nettoyage de la lentille : So fflez to tes les partic les libres avec de l’air
comprimé propre. Enlevez do cement le reste d débris à l’aide d’ ne brosse en
poil de chamea . Ess yez do cement la s rface avec n coton-tige h mide. Le
coton-tige pe t être h mecté avec de l’ea .
REMARQUE :
N’ tilisez AUCUN solvant po r nettoyer la lentille.
Nettoyage d boîtier :
Utilisez ne éponge o n chiffon do x h mecté avec de l’ea et d savon.

4. Operación del instru ento
4-1 Operación rápi a
Para medir la temperat ra, ap nte el termómetro hacia el objetivo, oprima el
gatillo y manténgalo oprimido. Cerciórese q e el área del objetivo esté dentro
del áng lo de visión del instr mento. El p nto del láser se sa únicamente
para p ntería.
Esta nidad tiene na pila de “9V” e indica la temperat ra en °C ó °F.
Para na operación confiable, cambie la pila c ando el voltaje caiga o el símbolo
voltaje bajo aparezca en la pantalla.
5. Manteni iento
Limpieza del lente: Sople las partíc las s eltas con aire limpio de n compresor.
Limpie las partíc las remanentes con n pincel de pelo de camello. Frote la
s perficie c idadosamente con n hisopo de algodón h medecido con ag a.
NOTA:
NO USE solventes para limpiar el lente de vidrio.
Limpieza del casco:
Use na esponja o trapo s ave h medecido con ag a jabonosa.
