Thank you for choosing Genesee's product. Mini centrifuges are popular laboratory equipment used
in clinical, environmental and industrial research. These personal centrifuges are ideal for quick spins,
filtrate of samples, cell separations and more.
The MLX mini centrifuge provides two rotors, micro-tubes and another for use of 0.2ml PCR strip tube.
The 6 x 1.5 ml rotor is designed to centrifuge up to six individual 1.5 ml plastic micro-centrifuge tubes.
It will also accept 0.5 ml and 0.4 ml tubes with the adapters supplied with the unit. Adapters are
available separately for 0.2 ml tubes. The strip tube rotor is designed to centrifuge two 8 x 0.2 ml strip
tubes. It will also accept up to 16 individual 0.2 ml tubes.
Before you use the unit, please read this entire manual carefully to understand how to operate, and
maintain. Your satisfaction with the unit will be increased if you take the time to read about its safety
and operational notices.
Keep this manual on-hand so it can be used by all operators of the unit. Be sure all operators
of the unit are given appropriate training before you put the unit in service.
1. Be sure you follow any city, county, or other ordinances in your area regarding the use of
this unit.
2. Use only approved accessories. Do not modify system components. Any alterations or
modifications to your instrument may be dangerous and will void your warranty.
3. Do not modify the power cord provided with the unit. If the plug does not fit an outlet,
have a proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician.
4. Never operate the centrifuge without a rotor fixed to the shaft.
5. Never fill tubes while they are in the rotor,liquid spillage may harm unit.
6. Never put hands in the rotor area unless the rotor is completely stopped.
7. Never move the centrifuge while the rotor is spinning.
8.Always load the rotor symmetrically. Each tube should be counterbalanced by anther tube.
