THE C4 EXPLAINED
DMX, Art-Net or sACN source required
A third-party console or Art-Net, sACN or DMX software is required for the C4 to work in
a live system setup or to be able to record scenes (C4 Extended only). C4 controllers work
with various professional grade consoles and software, such as: MADRIX, Pharos, ArKaos,
Resolume Arena, MadMapper, POET, grandMA and many more. If the control software or
console uses industry standard Art-Net, sACN or DMX protocols, you can direct the C4
controller.
Control software: DMX, sACN and Art-Net control platforms
When the setup process has been completed, the C4 controller is ready to be used with any
type of DMX, Art-Net or sACN software or console. The C4 will be automatically detected as
an Art-Net or sACN device, depending on the software or console. To do so, an Input/Output
conguration must be completed rst. Each DiGidot C4 needs to be congured with a unique
IP address for unicasting. Assign a device name to the DiGidot C4 for easier recognition (see:
Conguring the DiGidot C4).
Supported protocols (ICs)
C4 controllers support more than 60 ‘Data’ and ‘Clock+Data’ SPI protocols. All supported
protocols can be found in the C4 user interface. Go to Home > Settings > In/out conguration
> Select a port drop down menu to open the protocol list.
Please visit digidot.eu/digidot-c4 for the latest overview of all supported protocols/ICs.
