Installation / Initial Operation
Drive
Remove the drive, the turntable platter stored separately at the bottom of the carton, and all
accessories very carefully from the packaging. We recommend to keep the packaging.
Place the drive on a stable surface, and remove the two shipping locks marked with stickers on
the top of the drive with a 3-mm Allen key.
Turntable platter
Slowly place the turntable platter onto the drive axis. Align the drive horizontally by turning the
adjustable feet of the device. Important: the top surface of the turntable platter must always
serve as the point of orientation. Place the drive belt around the turntable platter and the pulley
of the drive unit.
Tonearm
Carefully remove the tonearm Point from the wooden box and place it with the bearing tip on
the single point bearing of the tonearm base mounted in the drive. Then insert the LEMO plug of
the tonearm cable from the tonearm into the LEMO socket next to the tonearm base.
Attach the anti-skating string to the tonearm as well as to the anti-skating lever, tying it through
the deflection loop on the tonearm support. Anti-skating is adjusted by shifting the weight on the
anti-skating lever. The closer the weight is to the string, the stronger the effect.

Cartridge
The tonearm is correctly set with a mounted Sting cartridge. You only have to check the tracking
force with the help of a separately obtainable tonearm scale. For mounting an alternative
cartridge refer further to the operation manual for the tonearm Point.
Power Supply
Depending on the model of Drive (with or without an integrated phono preamplifier Pearl),
connect the LF cables with a preamplifier or a separate phono preamplifier. For a Drive without
phono preamplifier Pearl, you can use either RCA or XLR cables. The pin assignment of the XLR
jacks is indicated on the back of Drive.
Before connecting the Genuin Audio Drive to a power outlet, please check that the mains
voltage indicated on the back of the unit corresponds to the mains voltage of the country in
which you intend to operate the unit. Connect the power supply line to Drive’s power supply and
the latter to the mains.
Initial Operation
Turn on the main switch on the power supply and press the ‘33’ or ‘45’ button on Drive. The ring
around the button of the currently active speed will be lit. To switch off, press the ‘0’ button.
The rotational speeds are preset. They can be fine-tuned. For this purpose, two labeled
potentiometers are located on the back of Drive.
Please note: Drive should be in operation for at least an hour before the speed can be adjusted.

Adjustment Options
Subchassis
The subchassis is preset by the manufacturer. However, it is possible to carry out a re-adjustment if
additional weights such as alternative turntable mats or pucks are used. Three adjustment screws
for the three subchassis bearings are located on the underside. By turning the screws, the sunken
subchassis as a result of the additional weight can be raised, if necessary, to the correct level.

VTA
The VTA on the tonearm Point can, for example, be adjusted for the use of an additional turntable
platter mat. This is done by turning the based screw with the supplied pin, which is inserted into a
corresponding hole of the bolt circle to turn the base.
The support bench of the tonearm tube is adjusted accordingly after loosening the end-face Allen
key, and the screw is then tightened again.

Belt Tension
The belt tension is adjustable within a +- 5mm range. To do this, loosen the two screws on the left
and right in the engine base and move the pulley to the desired position.
Important: before doing this, turn off Drive and then handle the pulley with great care.
Afterwards the two screws should be tightened again carefully without great force.
