Easylon®Repeater

WARNING NOTES
•Installation should only performed by qualified and
technical experienced personnel. The device must be
installed in compliance with the relevant DIN/VDE
regulations or the relevant national standards.
•The connection to the supply voltage must be per-
formed in accordance with VDE 0100 and VDE
0160.
•Trouble-free and safe operation of the unit is de-
pendent on proper transport and storage.
INSTALLATION
•The Easylon Repeater can be snapped onto DIN rails
(DIN EN 50022-35).
•The Easylon Repeater is only protected by a simple
non-shielded plastic housing. It should not be placed
close to strongly influencing devices.
•Ensure that all wires to be connected are powerless!
•Connect the bus wires to the corresponding LONA+,
LONA-, LONB+ and LONB- connectors.
•The Easylon Repeater does not include a bus termi-
nation. For trouble free operation of the Easylon Re-
peater both segments of the LONWORKS network
must be properly terminated.
•Connect the 24 VAC or 24 VDC power supply. The
Easylon Repeater has a simple filter at the power
input. Therefore it should not be supplied from a
strongly disturbed source.
•Never connect ground to the bus shield and to the
supply voltage (e.g. 0 VDC)
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The Easylon Repeater is a signal amplifier in the
LONWORKS network. It increases the maximum bus
length and increases the permissible number of net-
work nodes. It is completely transparent to the net-
work.
