Before use, please read this manual. It gives important instructions about safety, use
and maintenance of your appliance.
Remove all packaging material. You may wish to keep the packaging for future use

Important Safety Instructions
Please read ALL instructions before using this appliance and keep safe for future
reference.
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed, including the following:
1. This appliance is for domestic use only. It should not be used for commercial
purposes.
2. Only use this appliance for its intended domestic use. Giani Ltd will not accept
any liability if the appliance is subject to improper use, or failure to comply with
these instructions.
3. Do not use outdoors or on wet surfaces.
4. Do not handle the plug or appliance with wet hands.
5. Do not immerse the main body in water. Avoid any liquids entering the appliance
as this will cause an electric shock or will short circuit the appliance.
6. These appliances can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of
experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved.
7. Children should not play with the appliance.
8. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be performed by children without
supervision.
9. These products are not toys.
10. Do not use the appliance if any parts appear to be faulty, missing or damaged.
11. Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in any way.
12. Do not leave the appliance unattended when connected to the mains supply.
13. Always unplug from the mains supply after use, before carrying out any cleaning
or performing user maintenance.
14. Do not use the Blender or Grinder when empty.
15. Check to ensure that your electricity supply matches that shown on the rating
plate.
16. Only use the attachments/accessories supplied with the product or
recommended by Giani.
17. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualified service agent in
order to avoid a hazard.
18. The Jug blender and Grinder are not suitable for cleaning in a dishwasher.
19. Keep the appliance and its power supply cord away from heat or sharp edges
that could cause damage.
20. Keep the power supply cord away from any moving parts of the appliance
during use.
21. Always use the appliance on a dry, stable, heat resistant surface.
22. Do not blend or grind more than the maximum capacity
23. Do not place the appliances against a wall or directly next to another appliance.
Leave at least 20cm of free space around the appliance when in use.
24. To avoid injury or possible fires, do not cover the appliance when in operation.
25. Do not move the appliance when it is in use.
26. Do not disconnect the appliance from the mains power supply by pulling the
cord, switch it off and remove the plug by hand. 2

27. Do not store in direct sunlight or high humiduty conditions.
28. Use of an extension cord with the appliance is no recommended.
29. These appliance should not be operated by means of an external timer or
separate remote control system.
30. Keep the appliance away from flammable materials.
CAUTION: The maximum run time for these products is 50 seconds. Do not
exceed this time without allowing the appliance to rest. The rest time between
each use must be a minimum of 2 minutes.
CAUTION: The blades of the jug and grinder are extremely sharp. Care must be
taken when emptying and cleaning to avoid injury.
NEVER reach into the blender with your fingers, always use a plastic spatula.

Control Dial
P - Pulse. Operates the blender at maximum speed for the time the dial is turned to
the P setting. The pulse setting is recommended for ingredients that need very short
blending or for breaking apart large pieces of food before continued blending (setting
1 or 2) is used.
0 - Off
1 - Low Speed. Recommended for liquids and for the preparation of non-solid
ingredients such as Milkshakes, Batter mixes, Salad dressings, Omelettes, etc.
2 - High Speed. Recommended for Meat and solid foods such as Cheese, Beans,
Nuts, etc.
Note: There is a safety lock on the main unit. If the jug or grinder is not locked into
position correctly, the appliance will not work. Make sure the jug and grinder are
aligned and locked in correctly before you begin.
Technical Information
Before First Use
1. Remove all packaging materials, stickers and labels.
2. Clean the blender jug, lid and grinder with warm soapy water and a soft cloth or
non-abrasive sponge, then rinse. Do not use any abrasive cleaning materials as
this will damage the appliance.
CAUTION: take extreme care when cleaning, the blades are extremely sharp.
3. Dry thoroughly.
4. Wipe the main unit with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

Using Your Blender
1. Make sure the main unit is turned to the ‘Off’ position (0).
2. Place the Blender Jug onto the main unit and lock into
position as indicated. (Fig 1)
3. Place your ingredients into the Blender Jug, ensuring you
do not exceed the maximum level indicator (1500ml). (Fig 2)
4. Place the lid and turn clockwise to lock into position.
5. Plug the appliance into the mains socket and select the
required speed setting. (Fig 3)
6. If you need to redistribute the ingredients in the Blender
Jug, turn the control dial to the ‘Off’ position (0) and switch
off at the mains socket. Unlock the lid and using a plastic
spatula, push the ingredients down the jug or to stir, as
required. Never use metal utensils as this will damage the
jug / blades. Replace the lid and lock into position, switch
on at the mains and continue blending.
7. Whilst blending you can add liquid ingredients (eg: oil for
the preparation of mayonnaise) through the measuring cup
opening in the lid. Simply twist the measuring cup to
remove it from the lid and gently pour your ingredients into
the jug. Replace the measuring cup and twist to lock back
into position. This operation can be used whilst the motor is
running. (Fig 4)
Note: Always add liquid ingredients first, followed by solid or dry ingredients.
This will ensure a more consistent blend.
Note: DO NOT blend hot liquids; always allow to cool to room temperature before
blending.
Note: DO NOT blend frozen ingredients that have formed a solid mass. Allow to
thaw slightly and break up into smaller pieces before blending.
Note: DO NOT use the blender to mash potatoes or mix heavy dough.
Note: DO NOT blend ice cubes alone, this will damage the blades.

Blending Tips
Do not use the blender for very hard food products, such as bones, shelled nuts,
frozen meats, etc, as this can damage the blade and cause the unit to malfunction.
Always make sure the blender jug and blades are completely dry before processing
dry ingredients such as making breadcrumbs or chopping fresh herbs.
Using Your Grinder
The grinder attachment can be used for grinding ingredients such as, coffee beans,
cheese, nuts, chocolate, dry bread, sugar cubes, herbs, etc.
1. Place the rubber sealing ring into the base. (Fig 5)
2. Place your ingredients into the container. Do not
add liquid, the grinder can only grind dry ingredients. (Fig 6)
3. Do not fill the ingredients beyond 2/3 of the total capacity.
4. Place the grinding base onto the container and lock into
position. (Fig 7)
5. Place the grinding unit onto the main unit and lock into
position. (Fig 8)
6. Plug the appliance into the mains socket and select the
required speed setting.

Trouble Shooting
Cleaning
1. Turn the Blender to the ‘off’ position (0) and unplug from the mains socket and
allow to cool.
2. Wash the Blender Jug and Grinder in warm soapy water with a soft damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive materials or cleaning products as this will damage them.
THESE ITEMS ARE NOT DISHWASHER SAFE.
TAKE EXTRA CARE WHEN CLEANING THE BLADES AS THEY ARE VERY
SHARP.
3. Do not immerse the main unit in water. Wipe down with a soft damp cloth.
For stubborn marks or mixtures that are thicker and more difficult to clean;
1. Pour warm water into the Blender Jug, lock the lid into position and turn the
control dial to the ‘pulse’ setting. You will see the mixture will come away from
the jug sides.
2. Turn the blender to the ‘off’ position (0) and unplug from the mains socket.
3. Continue the cleaning process from step 2 above.
4. Allow the appliance to dry out thoroughly before storage.

Problem
The unit cannot be switched on.
The blades do no appear to be
turning.
My mixture is not blending evenly.
Food is sticking to the side of the
Blender.
Possible Cause
The Blender Jug is not locked
into the main unit correctly.
The blade may be jammed.
The mixture is too thick to
process.
The ingredients you are processing
may be too big.
You may be trying to process a
large quantity of ingredients at the
same time.
The mixture may be too thick.
Solution
Switch off the Blender and unplug from
the mains socket. Check the jug is
securely locked into position on the main
unit and retry.
Switch off the Blender and unplug from
the mains socket. Carefully remove
ingredients blocking the blade.
You may need to blend in smaller batches.
Ensure ingredients are cut into small
enough pieces before blending.
For best results, process in smaller
batches.
Switch off the Blender and unplug from
the mains socket. Using a plastic spatula
carefully scrape the food from the wall of
the jug.
More liquid may be required OR you may
need to PULSE in short bursts.
