Computermotherboardsand expansion cardscontainverydelicateIntegrated Circuit(IC)chips.To
protectthemagainstdamage fromstaticelectricity,you shouldfollowsomeprecautionswhenever
you workon yourcomputer.
1.Unplug yourcomputerwhen working on the inside.
2.Useagrounded wriststrap beforehandling computercomponents.If you do nothave
one,touchbothofyourhandstoasafelygrounded objectortoametalobject, suchas
the powersupplycase.
3.Holdcomponentsbythe edgesand trynottouchthe ICchips,leadsorconnectors,or
othercomponents.
4.Placecomponentson agrounded antistaticpad oron the bag thatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthe componentsareseparated fromthe system.
5.Ensurethatthe ATXpowersupplyisswitched off beforeyou plug inorremovethe ATX
owerconnectoron the motherboard.
If the motherboardhasmounting holes,buttheydon’tline up withthe holeson the baseand
thereareno slotstoattachthe spacers,do notbecomealarmed you can still attachthe spacersto
the mounting holes.Justcutthe bottomportion ofthe spacers(the spacermaybe alittlehardto
cutoff, sobe carefulofyourhands).Inthiswayyou can still attachthe motherboardtothe base
withoutworrying aboutshortcircuits.Sometimesyou mayneed tousetheplasticspringstoisolate
the screwfromthe motherboardPCBsurface,becausethecircuitwiremaybe nearbythehole.Be
careful,don’tletthe screwcontactanyprinted circuitwriteorpartson the PCBthatarenearthe
fixing hole,otherwiseitmaydamage the boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

MPleaseuseIntelapprovedcoolingfan.
MWerecommendyoutoapplythethermaltapetoprovidebetterheatconductionbetween
yourCPUandheatsink.
(TheCPUcooling fanmightsticktotheCPUduetothehardeningofthethermalpaste.
Duringthisconditionifyoutrytoremovethecoolingfan,youmightpulltheprocessorout
oftheCPUsocketalonewiththecooling fan,andmightdamagetheprocessor.Toavoid
thisfromhappening,wesuggestyoutoeitherusethermaltapeinsteadofthermalpaste,or
removethecoolingfanwithextremecaution.)
MMakesuretheCPUfanpowercableispluggedintotheCPUfanconnector,thiscompletes
theinstallation.
MPleaserefertoCPUheatsinkuser’smanualformoredetailinstallation procedure.

Step2:Install memorymodules
The motherboardhas3dualinline memorymodule(DIMM)sockets,butitcan onlysupporta
maximumof4banks ofDDR memory.DDR socket1uses2banks,DDR socket2&3sharethe
remaining2banks.Pleaserefertothefollowingtablesforpossiblememoryconfigurationssupported.The
BIOSwill automaticallydetectsmemorytype and size.Toinstall the memorymodule,justpushit
verticallyintothe DIMM Slot.The DIMM modulecan onlyfitinone direction due tothe notch.
Memorysizecan varybetween sockets.
DDR
1.TheDIMMsockethasanotch,sotheDIMMmemory
modulecanonlyfitinonedirection.
2. InserttheDIMM memorymoduleverticallyintothe
DIMM socket. Then pushitdown.
3.Closethe plasticclipatbothedgesoftheDIMM
socketstolockthe DIMM module.
Reversethe installationstepswhenyou wishto
removethe DIMM module.
MWhenSTR/DIMM LEDisON,do notinstall/remove DIMM fromsocket.
MPlease notethattheDIMM modulecanonlyfitinonedirection dueto
thetwonotches.Wrong orientation will cause improperinstallation.
Please changetheinsertorientation.

3.Presstheexpansioncardfirmlyintoexpansionslotinmotherboard.
4.Besurethemetalcontactsonthecardareindeedseatedintheslot.
5.Replacethescrewtosecuretheslotbracketoftheexpansioncard.
6.Replaceyourcomputer’schassiscover.
7.Poweron thecomputer,ifnecessary,setupBIOSutilityofexpansioncardfromBIOS.
8. Installrelateddriverfromtheoperatingsystem.

when you trytoinstall/Uninstall the AGP
