no slotstoattachthe spacers,do notbecomealarmed you can still attachthe spacerstothe mounting
holes.Justcutthe bottomportion ofthe spacers(the spacermaybe alittlehardtocutoff, sobe carefulof
yourhands).Inthiswayyou can still attachthe motherboardtothe basewithoutworrying aboutshort
circuits.Sometimesyou mayneed tousethe plasticspringstoisolatethe screwfromthe motherboard
PCBsurface,becausethe circuitwiremaybe nearbythe hole.Becareful,don'tletthe screwcontact
anyprinted circuitwriteorpartson the PCBthatarenearthe fixing hole,otherwiseitmaydamage the
boardorcauseboardmalfunctioning.

baseontothe CPUsocketon the
motherboard.
Beforeinstalling theCPUcooling fan,adheretothefollowing warning:
1.Please use Intelapprovedcooling fan.
2.Werecommend you toapplythethermaltapetoprovidebetterheat
conduction betweenyourCPUand cooling fan.
(TheCPUcooling fanmightstick totheCPUduetothehardening of
thethermalpaste.During thiscondition ifyou trytoremove thecool-
ing fan,you mightpull theprocessoroutoftheCPUsocketalonewith
thecooling fan,and mightdamagetheprocessor.To avoidthisfrom
happening,wesuggestyou toeitheruse thermaltapeinsteadof

1.WhenDIMM LEDisON,do notinstall /remove DIMM fromsocket.
2.Please notethattheDIMM modulecanonlyfitinonedirection dueto
theonenotch.Wrong orientation will cause improperinstallation.
Please changetheinsertorientation.
Step2:Install MemoryModules
The motherboardhas4dualinline memorymodule(DIMM)sockets.The BIOSwill automatically
detectsmemorytype and size.Toinstall the memorymodule,justpushitverticallyintothe DIMM
socket. The DIMM modulecan onlyfitinone direction due tothe notch.Memorysizecan vary
between sockets.

1.The DIMM sockethasanotch,sothe DIMM memory
modulecan onlyfitinone direction.
2. Insertthe DIMM memorymoduleverticallyintothe DIMM
socket. Then pushitdown.
3.Closethe plasticclipatbothedgesofthe DIMM sockets
tolock the DIMM module.
Reversethe installation stepswhen you wishtoremove
the DIMM module.

due tothe limitation ofIntelchipsetspecifications.
1.Onlyone DDR memorymoduleisinstalled:The DualChannelTechnologycan't
operatewhen onlyone DDR memorymoduleisinstalled.Additionally,you can bootthe
systemonlywhen the memorymoduleisinserted intoChannelA.Onthe otherhand,
the memorymodulemustbe inserted intoDIMM1orDIMM3sockets.
2.TwoDDR memorymodulesareinstalled (the samememorysizeand type):The Dual
ChannelTechnologywill operatewhen twomemorymodulesareinserted individually
intoChannelAand B.If you install twomemorymodulesinthe samechannel,the Dual
ChannelTechnologywill notoperate.Additionally,you can bootthe systemonlywhen
one ofthe memorymodulesisinserted intoChannelA.Onthe otherhand,the memory
modulemustbe inserted intoDIMM1orDIMM3sockets.
3.Three DDR memorymodulesareinstalled:Pleasenotethatthe DualChannelTechnol-
ogywill "not"operatewhen three DDR memorymodulesareinstalled.If you install
three memorymodules,the systemwill onlydetectthosememorymodulesinserted in
ChannelA,and thoseinChannelBwill notbe detected!

GA-8IP900MKsupportsDualChannelTechnology.
When DualChannelTechnologyisactivated,the bandwidthofmemorybuswill be doublethe original
one,withthe fastestspeed at5.3GB/sDDR333.
GA-8IP900MKincludesfourDIMM slots,and eachChannelhas2DIMMsasfollowing:

When an AGP2X(3.3V)cardisinstalled the 2X_DETwill lightup,indicating anon-supported
graphics cardisinserted.Informing usersthatsy stemmightnotbootup normallydue to
AGP2X(3.3V)isnotsupported bythe chipset.
Step3:Install expansion cards
1.Read the related expansion card'sinstruction documentbeforeinstall the expansion cardintothe
computer.
2.Removeyourcomputer'schassiscover,screwsand slotbracketfromthe computer.
3.Press the expansion cardfirmlyintoexpansion slotinmotherboard.
4.Besurethe metalcontactson the cardareindeed seated inthe slot.
5.Replacethe screwtosecurethe slotbracketofthe expansion card.
6.Replaceyourcomputer'schassiscover.
7.Poweron the computer,ifnecessary,setup BIOSutilityofexpansion cardfromBIOS.
8. Install related driverfromthe operating system.

install/Uninstall the AGPcard.Pleasealign the
