Step 2-4: Memory Installation
Step1. Insert the DIMM memory module vertically intothe DIMM slot, and pushit down.
Step2. Closethe plastic clipatbothedgesofthe DIMM slotstolocktheDIMM module.
NOTE! DIMM must be populated in order starting from DIMM8 socket. For dual-channel
operation, DIMMs must be installed in matched pairs.
Step3. Reversethe installation stepswhen youwishtoremovethe DIMM module.

GS-R1270-RH provides expansion riser slots for one PCI-E x8 (x4 bandwidth) and one PCI-X
133MHz slots.Toinstalltheperipheral,pleasegothroughthefollowingsteps.
Note!!Beforeinstallingtheexpansion card, pleasecheckthecard size limitation. Sizelimitationfor
standardrisercardis182mm; andthesizelimitationforlowprofilerisercardis182mm.
Step1 Loosentheriser bracket screws.
Step2 Lifttheriserbracketslightly,thenpullitoutfromtheserverchassis.
Step3 UnlockthescrewontheriserbrackettoremovethePCIbracket.Aligntheexpansioncardwith
theguidinggroove.Slidetheexpansioncardintotheslotuntilthecardfirmlyseats.
