Radio Controlled Alarm Clock Instructions

•Do not leave packaging materials around unattended; they can become a dangerous toy for children.
•The unit may only be used in dry inside areas.
•Servicing, adjustment or repair works must only be carried out by a specialist/ specialist workshop.

Starting the clock
Open the battery compartment & i nsert 1 x 1,5V, type “AAA” alkaline batteries. Pay attention to
correct polarity.
The LCD displays time as “0:00 ” and the clock starts to scan for Radio-controlled signal . (In optimal
condition, the correct time will be displayed within 3 to 5 minutes.)
The tower icon will keep flashing while the clock is searching for the signal.
When the wave icon remains constant on the display, it indicates successful reception of the Radio-
control time signal.
If the clock fails to receive the signal The tower symbol disappears from the LCD display.
In such case try moving the clock to another location say new the window away from any likely
interfering sources live television, computer, microwave oven etc & gently press the “Reset” button
with a pin (located at back of the clock).

Automatic Radio-control time update
The clock will automatically scan for radio controlled signals daily at 1:00 am.
If the time update fails, the clock will repeat the procedure on the next full hour (2:00 am, 3:00 am, 4:00
am, 5:00 am, 6:00 am, 7:00 am).
If the unit still cannot receive the Radio-control time signal, it will search again at 1:00 am on the
following day.
Using of WAVE key
To start manual radio-controlled time update press “WAVE” key once, it will start searching for the
Radio-control time signal.
To stop radio-controlled time update press “WAVE” key once again & the tower symbol disappears.
Celsius or Fahrenheit temperature display
The temperature display readings can be select in Celsius or Fahrenheit by pressing the “DOWN” key.
Low battery indicator
When the “ “ low battery indicator is displayed please replace the battery immediately.
Manual time setting
To set the clock manually press the “SET” key for 3 seconds. The “Year” begins to flash on LCD.
Each press of “SET” key & the values begin to flash on LCD display in the following order

Normal time display,.
At any stage you can use the “UP” or “DOWN” key to set the value.
Day display is available in following 7 languages (German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch,
Danish).
Time zone setting is used if the clock is used in countries other than Germany where you can receive
radio controlled (DCF77) signals but it lies in a different time zone compared to Germany.
Press MODE key again to language selection mode, press UP or DOWN button to adjust the display
language;
GE = GERMAN
EN = ENGLISH
FR = FRENCH
IT = ITALIAN
ES = SPANISH
NE = NETHERLAND
DA = DENMARK
Alarm time setting (Alarm1 & Alarm 2)
The clock has 2 daily alarm function.
Press the “ALARM” key once to enter the “Alarm-1” setting mode.
Press the “ALARM” key once more to enter the “Alarm-2” setting mode.
In any mode press the “ALARM” key for 3 seconds to set the alarm.
The “Alarm1-Hour” value begins to flash. Use the “UP” or “DOWN” key to set to desired value.
Press the “ALARM” key once & the “Alarm1-Minutes” key begins to flash. Use the “UP” or “DOWN”
key to set to desired value.
Press the “ALARM” key once & the “Alarm2-Hours” key begins to flash. Use the “UP” or “DOWN”
key to set to desired value.
Press the “ALARM” key once & the “Alarm2-Minutes” key begins to flash. Use the “UP” or “DOWN”
key to set to desired value.
Alarm on/off
In alarm 1 or alarm 2 display mode
Press “UP” key to toggle between alarm “On” or “Off”.

When alarm is “On” a bell symbol with “1” or “2” written is displayed on LCD.
If both alarms are “On” then 2 bell symbols appear on LCD display.
Snooze function
When alarm is activated press the snooze/light key to activate the snooze function. The beep sound will
halt temporirly but will sound again after about 5 minutes.
To stop the alarm press the “ALARM” key. The beep will stop & will be activated next dat at same
time.
Backlight
Press the “Snooze/Light” key to activate the backlight.
Reset function
In some unusual occasions, the clock may be affected by electrical interference and respond
abnormally. In such conditions, press the RESET button located at the back of the clock.
Use a pin to gently press this key. All LCD values are reset & clock begins to scan for Radio controlled
signals.
Disposal
Dispose of waste electrical and electronic equipment
In order to preserve, protect and improve the quality of environment, protect human health and
utilise natural resources prudently and rationally, the user should return unserviceable product
to relevant facilities in accordance with statutory regulations.The crossed-out wheeled bin
indicates the product needs to be disposed separately and not as municipal waste.
Used batteries/ accumulators disposal
The user is legally obliged (battery regulation) to return used batteries and accumulators.
Disposing used batteries in the household waste is prohibited! Batteries/ accumulators
containing hazardous substances are marked with the crossed-out wheeled bin. The symbol
indicates that the product is forbidden to be disposed via the domestic refuse. The chemical
symbols for the respective hazardous substances are Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb =
Lead.You can return used batteries/ accumulators free of charge to any collecting point of
your local authority, our stores or where batteries/ accumulators are sold.Consequently you
comply with your legal obligations and contribute to environmental protection!
