strictest quality control procedures. Please read this manual carefully before using your appliance for
the first time and then please store this manual for future reference.

When first using the dehumidifier, operate the unit continuously for 24 hours.The humidity level can be
set within a range of 80% RH (Relative Humidity) to 35% RH (Relative Humidity) in 5% reduce or at CO
for continuous operation. NOTE: If CO (Continuous) is selected, the dehumidifier will operate
continuously at its maximum dehumidification settings if attached to a hose to drain or until the bucket is
full.
For drier air, press the - pad and set to a lower percent value (%). For damper air, press the + pad and
set to a higher percent value (%). When you first use the dehumidifier, set he humidity control to 45% or
50%. Allow at least 24 hours for the dehumidifier to achieve the humidity level. If you still have damper
air than desired, set the humidity level to a lower setting or select Continuous
for maximum dehumidification

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
Please read the operating instructions carefully before using your dehumidifier
for the first time.
1. Install the unit on flat and hard floor to diminish vibration or noise and water damage.
2. When first using the dehumidifier, operate the unit continuously 24 hours
3. Never immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
4. Do not operate the unit if the cable or other connections are damaged. Please contact us
on 012-661-1173 or www.gmcaircon.co.za for further assistance.
5. Disconnect the unit from power supply when it is not in use, or before relocating or
cleaning.
6. Operate the unit only at the voltage specified 220V-240V 50Hz
7. The unit is for indoor use only.
8. Do not put heavy objects on the appliance.
9. Do not insert any object into the unit body to avoid any hazard or unit failure.
10. Do not put the unit close to heat-generating devices or near flammable
materials.
11. This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced
physical, sensory or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for
their safety. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.

12. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service
agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard. Please contact us

INSTALLATION
Install the unit on a hard & level floor. Keep the room ventilated. Leave at least 20cm space
around the unit (when the hose is not connected).
NB : Before switching on and operating the unit , open the top cover , this will enable
a free discharge air flow.
1.
Remove plastic knock out on the back panel of the unit. (Refer to image of drain port
below.)
2.
Place the water hose (included with unit) on to drain port inside the unit.
3.
Connect the water pipe to a drain outlet or into a bucket or alternatively the water pipe
will have to be placed through an external wall so moisture can flow outside.

NOTE:
1.
Do not block the drainage port or water pipe.
2.
Do not fold the water pipe or make it 250mm higher than the bottom of unit.
3.
Do not replace the rubber adapt or of the water pipe, it’s a special accessory for the unit
only, any other adaptor may not fit the unit. If it’s damaged or lost, please call the
customer service for replacement on 012-661-1173 or www.gmcaircon.co.za.

OPERATIONS
Indication
1. Water full indicator
When water tank is full, indicator lights hows redandan alarm will beep 15 times and then stop.
You must empty the water tank and put it back to correct position.
2.
Low fan speed indicator
When running in low fan speed, the low fan speed indicator shows green
3. High fan speed indication
When running in high fan speed, the high fan speed indicator shows green
4.
Display
This indicator has 3 functions as below:
1. When the power is on, it shows indoor humidity
2. When user sets humidity, it shows the selected humidity
3. When setting the timer on/off, it shows the hours

Control Panel:
1. Power
Press this button to turn the unit on/off. Do not unplug the power cord while unit is running.
Use this switch to stop the unit then unplug power cord.
When unit is first plugged in the unit will beep.Press button to turn on the unit.
The green power indicator light always shows when power is on and also when unit is running.
2. Timer button
24 hour timer
Press this button and “00” shows on display.
Press this button to set timer on/off times and to cancel timer setting.
If the “on” or “off” timer is set the green indicator light above timer button will illuminate.
3. Automatically dehumidify button
Press this button for automatic dehumidifying mode. The humidity can be
adjusted manually, but the fan speed will be adjusted automatically.
4. Fan speed setting button
Press this button to adjust the fan speed between HIGH, LOW fan speed.
When running in low fan speed, the low fan speed indicator above shows green.
When running in high fan speed, the high fan speed indicator shows green.

5. Continuous dehumidification setting button
The machine starts the continuous dehumidification mode. The humidity cannot be
adjusted.
6. Ionizer setting
Press this button, the ionizer starts to work to purify the air. Press this button again, the
ionizer does not work.

The operation of your dehumidifier will depend entirely on the surrounding environment. The
machine will cycle 26L of water a day in an environment of 30°C and 80% Relative Humidity.
In lesser environment conditions the machine will not extract similar amounts, this does not
mean the machine is not working, it just means there is not enough moisture in the air to
extract. An example would be using the machine in summer versus winter.
PLEASE NOTE – If the tank is not filling with water it’s likely due to environment conditions
and not a fault with the machine, in other words there is no moisture in the air to collect. If

WATER DRAINAGE
Water Tank
The Water full indication will show red when the water tank is full, warning will be given when
capacity 4L has been reached. Remove the water tank and drain out the water. Put the water
tank back into the dehumidifier.
How to empty the water tank
1.
Pull out both sides of water tank as below.
Pull the water tank
at the back of the

Caution!
1. Do not remove the float from the water tank; otherwise, the machine will continue to run
when the water tank is full and the water may overflow causing damage to the unit and
surrounding areas
2. Drain the water tank completely, replace the tank and reset your settings.
3. If the water tank is dirty, use warm water and a cloth. Do not use Steel wool, scourers or
any chemicals or solvents.
4. Use two hands to guide the water tank back into it’s position.
Caution:
1.
Never block the water outlet or drain pipe.
2.
Never bend the drain pipe.
3.
The drain pipe must always be lower than the outlet.

MAINTENANCE
NOTE
:
TURN OFF THE UNIT AND UNPLUG IT BEFORE ANY MAINTENANCE OR
REPAIR TO AVOID ELECTRICAL SHOCKS.
Cleaning
Unplug the unit before any cleaning.
Clean the housing with a soft damp cloth. DO NOT use any chemical solvents as this may
cause damage to the plastic covers.
DO NOT Pour water on the unit.
Every few weeks, clean the bucket to prevent growth of mold, mildew and bacteria.
Partially fill the bucket with clean water and add a little mild detergent. Swish it around in
the bucket, empty and rinse.
Air filter
The unit is equipped with washable air filter. Remove the washable air filter as per the
diagram below.
Rinse under the tap. DO NOT use soap to clean the filter. All the filter to dry before re-
installing.
Clean the washable filter every 2 weeks. Blocked filters will affect the efficiency.

2. Assemble the filter
Insert the filter back to the machine slowly after washing
Dehumidifier storage
If the dehumidifier will not be in use for an extended period of time then please:
1.
Drain the water tank completely.
2.
Unplug the unit and fold up the power supply cord.
3.
Remove and clean the air filter, allow it to dry completely and re-install it.
4.
Store the dehumidifier in a cool, dry location, away from direct sunlight,extreme
temperature and excessive dust.

TROUBLE SHOOTING
This guide is in place to assist with any troubleshooting. The operation of your dehumidifier will
depend entirely on the surrounding environment. The machine will cycle 26L of water a day in an
environment of 30°C and 80% Relative Humidity. PLEASE NOTE – If the tank is not filling with water
it’s likely due to environment conditions and not a fault with the machine, in other words there is no
moisture in the air to collect. If at any point you are unsure please do not hesitate to contact us on
